The shop also has a great selection of notions, project bags and needles/hooks. Staff is very helpful, with suggestions on weight, colors and projects. I love the range of yarns in this store, with the focus on natural or blended fibres with few (if any?) pure acrylics and a good number of locally spun or dyed yarns. They also regularly have good sales on high-quality yarn available. Their COVID measures have been great, with only a small number of people allowed in at a time, hand sanitizer available and masks on, and on top of it they have maintained great customer service for both face to face and phone orders.

The shop carries nicer, higher-end yarns. There are a lot of knitted samples to pique your creative interest. I didn't try their tea and pastries, but they have a nice, small selection. I bought a few items that were specific to La Maison Tricotée. The staff was so nice, welcoming, and helpful. I would recommend La Maison Tricotée to knitters, crocheters and yarn lovers. The young lady working that day showed me all around when I asked about local, hand dyed yarns and told me interesting things about each brand. I had a delightful cup of tea and even though it was nearing closing time, I never felt rushed. She even helped me choose a great place to go to dinner and recommended a great bar to visit with a cool atmosphere I loved (Darling bar). But then she really went above and beyond when my uber driver called and she spoke to him for me in French. I ended up needing to request another driver and she offered me to wait inside the store out of the cold rain while he arrived even though the shop was closing. On top of that, I bought beautiful yarn! I am so glad to have things to remember from this shop. Many yarn stores have fabulous yarn but it's customer service like this that makes people fall in love with the store. (The tea and baked goods don't hurt either.) How I wish it was my LYS and that I didn't live hundreds of miles away. I hope I get to visit it again. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and visit this store!

I still find everything too pricey, though there are sometimes good deals. But the arts and crafts material here is just too bloody expensive for no reason. I was also surprised to find, that not only do they not carry any parts to make dolls (like little ceramic or plastic heads and arms etc..); They were also entirely unhelpful in their response and borderline hostile/ at least visibly annoyed that I would dare ask where one might be able to find those types of items. A simple "no, sorry" would have sufficed. (Better customer service would have at least entertained me and asked whatever for I may need such funny specific items, and my response ("We're going to make our very own Christmas Tree Angel") should have elicited great glee and pleasantries amongst us, but alas t' was in my fantasy Michaels, not here.) Lady still managed to convince me to sign up via email/phone number which is supposedly going to give me access to better deals, which may make me bump this to 4 stars, but so far I'm sittin' pretty at 3. Too bad I couldn't afford any of it. Which makes sense. I'm pretty sure that everything they had there was the finest of the fine. I felt a yarn so soft, I'd imagine it was what a cloud felt like! They have knitting groups here and quite a few staff members that were eager to help. They also have many knitting supplies (needles and such as well as fun (and pricey) needle cases) and cute little accessories for your knitted goods (buttons, etc.). If you've got cash to burn and have a very special project in mind, this would be the place to go!
