Between the one employee vaping and one of the other barbers throwing a tantrum like a toddler I will never be back. No one should have to listen to him whine the whole time with his F this and F that. When that was not getting him enough attention he switched to what he seems to feel is the worst thing to call something, calling things gay. He made sure to let us all know it is OK though, he has a gay friend. The haircut was average, I only had to do a little work myself on it afterwards to clean it up. read more

Horrible! My son went here yesterday and left with a chewed up neck! At least 6 cuts on his neck. Learn the tools before you use them. This is unacceptable and pathetic! Bleeding! Bleeding! Bleeding! Painful! Will never go back! Never recommend! I sure hope you cleaned the razor! And you might want to go back to Barber School because there is no way anyone should be a barber who does this. Everyone knows it's all about the angle. Wow! Just wow! Good luck to anyone who goes here. read more

I was happily surprised. The owner, who has lived here in Decatur all his life, has many years of experience cutting hair and was very gentle as he did his job. I could tell his hand movements were sure and steady, and that he knew exactly what he was doing. When I looked in the mirror after he was done, my haircut was perfect. I had been paying over $50 in Chicago for a good haircut! Another thing I like about Decatur; how affordable things are here! My price was about $16 and I got a shampoo after the cut too! I look forward to coming back here as often as I need to and I urge you to try this little barber shop and keep them in business. Also, please tip the person who cuts your hair when you're happy with the way they cut it! People often don't realize that a tip for a haircut is highly appreciated and polite. It's somewhat rude to not tip. And I only say this because when I tipped him he seemed very surprised, like he didn't expect it. But he should! He's a virtuoso with his scissors! Experienced, friendly, and professional. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed with your cut! Plus, they have this little vacuum attached to the hair trimmer that sucks up all your hair as they cut it! Never saw that before at any of the fancy places I've been to in Chicago! Very cool!

The price, I thought, was a little high for a child's cut, however, I loved the way it turned out. My son looked great. The Barber was a very sweet older man. The place wasn't busy so we didn't have a long wait. Would definitely come back.
