Just an xray to check the heart.. I was told if I was given an oxy and I was fine then they are sending me home. She thought I was drug seeking. I work In healthcare so I know the BS. I want a copy of that nights chart note. Because maybe that's why it took them HOURS to get back to me about what my results were yesterday. And the never did get back to me. " not pneumonia. It's a reinjury of your broken back that no one here ever treated the 1rst time? I was getting my own results in real time as I was waiting for over 2.5 hours to be told my results. . If you are Hospitalized (although the hospital care seems good) forget about after care after discharge. It seems like since the OHSU buyout of Portland Adventist medical care has gone downhill. I understand that with the merger of these medical care communities things can get backed up and crowded, but I only have this one life. Do I want to wait for these people to get organized?

I think this office is great for people who already know what they need and are excellent at initiating. They do take trillium and I got seen within 3 days of updating my provider. I never feel rushed out the door, and that is rare for Doctors these days. He is detail-oriented and treats me with respect, and is never condescending or intimidating. I like the fact that he takes detailed notes on the computer each visit - it allows for good continuity in care. The staff at Portland Adventist is friendly and helpful and for Dr. Scribner I have never had to wait beyond 10 minutes.

Avoid them at all costs. The facilities are nice, I'm sure they maintain it by continually requiring unnecessary repeat appointments when your needs are clear, obvious, noted and reasonable. The doctor literally laughed at me and interrupted me when I expressed my concern after he explained he'd be prescribing naproxen sodium (brand name would be like Aleve) as if his 500 mg pill would give relief beyond what I could normally get without a prescription.... I've now gone on two sleepless excruciating nights with nothing to relieve my temporary illness and been forced to leave work early as my symptoms have only worsened with the lack of sleep from debilitating sinus pressure. When I went back the next day the front office woman had advised me to waste my money by setting another appointment with the other doctor... Heartless, uncaring and useless. Just google your symptoms and spend less money over all rather than see these "doctors". I have gotten other types of care for mental health and well being and been there for a few hours and took a nice long nap no less. Yes it's in a physical therapy office too but hey that's a perk. Physical therapy there is great as well--I worked with Marie there! I have seen all providers at this location and never been treated wrong. My billing is usually simple but if there's issues I reach out to the office manager and it's handled quickly. Bathroom nearby and waiting areas in hallway do they come get you when it's your turn. It's not a turn and burn to rush patients in or out either so if they run a few minutes behind I give them grace because I'll get my time with them. All visits are booked online, they email you a summary of what you talked about and will send prescriptions to your pharmacy. Now if it's a med that you take each month and your pharmacy says they reached out and haven't heard from them, best to shoot them an email.

Even now when I'm employed full-time with health insurance, I continue to come here for my basic health needs. The staff are incredibly patient, multilingual and know their stuff. The physicians and physician assistants have all treated me with respect, kindness and candor. It's public health, so going there is like stepping into a mini-united nations with people speaking myriad languages and a lot of kinds running around. But I believe in supporting them now with my insurance and my co-pay and they are surprisingly easy to get appointments. The staff are true public servants, and I suspect aren't told how appreciated they are by the community nearly often enough.
