The line to check in moved very quickly. The employees manning the front desk were friendly and efficient. After you check in and get your photo taken, you get a little receipt with a number on it. There are plenty of places to sit while you wait for your number to be called. The numbers are called in order of your arrival. Each time a number is called, it is displayed on two television screens on opposite ends of the waiting area. It shows which number has been called and which desk to go to. This is really great because you can easily track when and where you need to step up. I was called to desk #1 and was assisted by a woman named Becky. She was friendly and helpful. I don't have any complaints about my experience here.

REALID UPDATE! This…read moreDMV is the best! The best service, efficient processes, and shorter than average wait times. I came here on a "walk-in" Saturday for getting my license updated for REALID. The facility opened at 7:30am and I got in the outdoor line at 7:20am. There were probably about 50-60 people ahead of me and after the doors opened it took about 25min for me to get in the building. When I finally got to talk to a human, it was about a 1 hour wait overall. They confirmed I had the proper documents and then it was a 10 min wait to get my photograph taken. From there, I sat about 20 minutes in a waiting area to get my documents scanned and pay the fee ($5 + $1 card fee). Once I did get to the teller, Marcie (who was very kind), it was about 10 min for processing and scanning. After that, a 3 min wait to get my printed temporary REALID, until it comes in the mail in 2 weeks. In and out in just less than 2 hours. I had headphones to keep me entertained. My advice is that if you can get there by 7:00am, you'll have a real shot at getting out of there in an hour. Don't go anywhere else! This is the best. PS. There's a sign hanging in one of the offices that reads, "You don't have to be crazy to work here, we'll train you." If that's not the best example of self-awareness ever, I don't know what is.

One particular couple required a lot of help apparently and a line of about 10-15 people formed. It was empty when I got there but then bottlenecked for the next hour. They try to move quickly and will give out instructions but it can be hard to hear. I missed something and signed my forms incorrectly. That led me back to the gatekeeper line again. Once I got to my designated window though, the rep was funny, helpful and efficient. Not my worst experience and it was nice working with someone who cared about his job.

I went recently to get a "real ID" ahead of some upcoming trips, as airports now require it. I was sure to check online prior to make sure I had everything required, which includes a birth certificate, my marriage certificate for proof of name change, my current drivers license, and two proofs of address. Mind you, if you don't have the things, you will be turned away. Oh and proof of address needs to be something like an energy bill & mortgage statement. I filled out an application upon arrival, waited in line, had my photos taken, and then waited for my number to be called. It was a fairly seamless process, because I had all that was needed, and only cost $14 which really surprised me. All in all, be very prepared with what you're coming for. Multiple people were (rudely) turned away during my visit and no one really wants to have to make more than one trip here.
