We learned very interesting tidbits about Georgetown, Crabs, Shrimp, the Civil War, Yawkey family, and Baruch Family. We saw 4 bald eagles and 2 alligators plus other birds like egrets and herons. We arrived an hour after departing Georgetown at North Island where you can see an abundance of oyster shells, whelk, and other shells. There is only a 3/4 mile section of beach that you are allowed to explore. There is driftwood and lots of fallen trees. The water is very brackish and not a place you would go in for a dip (or pee) so plan accordingly. You are given a little over an hour to explore and then you head back passing the Georgetown Lighthouse. Judd had some interesting things to say here too. Then you head back going by South Island and the marshes and learn about the rice Plantations that made some people very wealthy. It's interesting to learn how they flooded and drained the fields. We also learned about the Government cut for the intracoastal waterway as we headed back into town. All in all it was a nice excursion. A tad long in the uncomfortable seats but still a fine experience. Thank you to Judd for all the history and information and for Jesse finding us wildlife along the way.

My involvement with Arnold's began about two years ago when I called from out of state inquiring…read moreabout in-ground concrete pool construction at a property I was purchasing in Conway. Based on our phone conversation, their rep John researched the property and its suitability for a pool within a few days. No other contractor returned my calls. When it came time to build, more than a year later, Arnold's performed exactly as promised. Their work process was efficient, with obvious attention to detail. It was educational and fun to watch it all take place. The entire team was uniformly capable, communicative and highly professional. The pool was completed ahead of schedule and the follow-through to ensure I understood the maintenance and mechanics couldn't have been better. Arnold's performance was first-class in every respect.

What a deceitful and very unprofessional company. They are our commercial pool chlorine supplier…read moreand they never deliver on time. We run out of product constantly and it's becoming a habit with them. When you call the office they tell you it's out for delivery today. Then tomorrow comes and they haven't delivered. You call in again and same thing "it's out for delivery today". Well that's Bullshit!! They haven't been and have no intentions of coming because it's a holiday weekend but they had all week leading up to the weekend to get the chlorine tanks filled. They have a very poor follow up with whomever is delivering. Maybe the office personnel needs to get off their lazy asses and follow up on their business contracts and quit telling us when we call in that it's out for delivery because it hasn't been delivered yet. I've never liked Arnold's pools. I think they're a amateur company with less than amateur staff. If you want to have a company with bad repoire with people then that's your choice but I'm going to do my best to let all the commercial and private pool owners know that Arnold's pools is unworthy of being a pool company to serve the Grand Strand Area they should shut the doors and find something else to do with their lives because it's clear they don't know how to service the industry properly and with faith. That is all I have to say!!!

Capt. Ned is a native here and has been fishing these waters his entire life. He is very knowledgeable and personable. He took the time to watch and assist us with hints on improving our fishing style or lack there of! The water was a bit rough with 4 - 5 foot swells, so we were really rocking.
