I broke my shoulder in October and Winthrop Hospital recommended me to see Dr. Adam Wilson, who is a doctor there. My first appointment was in Garden City. The staff was friendly and helpful. When I first met Dr. Wilson, I was immediately drawn to his caring, compassionate manner. He was extremely gentle while examining my arm. After several X-rays, he recommended wearing a sling, no surgery, and physical therapy. He was very thorough with his explanation. I had several appointments with Dr. Wilson and always found him to be very professional and always very caring. My next appointment is in one year, and I am already looking forward to it! read more

Drs. Are great but front desk stafff and call in line (Appointment) staff condensing, rude, arrogant and bottom liine offensive. Took over 4 calls and still waiting to make an appointment. Btw transferring to wrong office, wrong booker, wrong scheduler, and then placing you on hold for no reason other than just to piss you off, these woman are a joke. To the practice itself, please realize these are your representatives and this is what the patient(client) deals with first prior to actual Doctor. They should be trained for patient sensitivity and management. read more

Love these Orthopods...have taken good care of my son when he has sports injuries. Last week he broke both arm bones playing Lax and we were lucky that Dr. Lazar was there and that we could go right over. I trust them completely. This orthopedic group is so good, we all keep getting injured just so we can go back! Offices are located in both East Meadow and Garden City. The Garden City office has ample parking, East Meadow's parking in the back is a little more challenging to negotiate. Dr. Lazar , pediatric specialist is responsive to your needs and getting timely emergency appointments has fortunately been easy. Dr Teplitz , hand specialist managed my mallet finger well, and answered all of my questions and concerns. Unfortunately, my son needed his expertise after a football injury. Dr. Teplitz and his PA Nicole both treated my 16 year old respectfully and skillfully reduced his fracture with minimal discomfort. Early morning appointments for follow-ups at 6:30 AM, minimized disruption of school and work. read more

The staff are the Rudest of any medical staff that I encountered.They don't even knowledge when you walk in and sign in. It's like you're interfering with their day. The receptionist doesn't even talk to you face-to-face she's looking at her computer with her back towards you telling you you have to call in for an appointment you can't make a appointment right then and there......???? The hospital should look at this place and re-retrain their people.The only thing that was good there was the doctor. read more

Brilliant surgeons here! Dr. Grossman and Dr. Zeuzias are professional, thorough and take the time to explain exactly what they see and make sure the patient understands what's going on. Never waited more than 15 minutes, the office staff and medical assistants are fantastic! First, the office: Be prepared to wait up to 4 (FOUR) hours for your appointment. I was never seen in less than an hour. Second, Dr. Seth Queler: This man needs to go back to medical school. A broken bone was set and reset, put in a brace for 3 months, and when it was obvious from xrays that the bone was in WORSE shape than it had been to begin with, he didn't even reposition the brace! He sent me away with instructions to "rest more" and to be "less vigorous" with physical therapy. I had witnessed my physical therapist leaving three messages for this doctor to clarify his instructions, (scribbled on a prescription form), but he never called them back. He claimed he never got the messages. I subsequently found a wonderful orthopedist who did surgery and I am now recovering. BTW, my physical therapist was the one who was horrified at the sight of my unhealed bone, and urged me to get a second opinion. read more

I had knee surgery and could not have been happier with my experience. The staff was attentive to my needs and extremely friendly in the process. I felt very comfortable coming here no matter how much pain I was in because I knew I was in good hands with the staff. My therapist, Lesley, was absolutely amazing and the reason my recovery went so well! She pushed me the right amount but also made sure I was comfortable with whatever I was doing. The front desk staff was also excellent in getting me appointments when I needed and handling all of my insurance information as well. read more

Office staff was down right nasty, rude and very condescending! All they cared about was payment versus patient! The treatment they gave me was beyond unacceptable! The dr wouldn't give me the time of day either! Bottom line they repeatedly told me my insurance wasn't valid and it was therefore refusing to treat me! Mind you this isn't elective surgery but necessary and yet they couldn't care less. Honesty there aren't fit to polish my shoes let alone treat me! read more

The support staff are horrible. Sadly, this meant I would wait until I had a lot of pain to face dealing with them to try to get an appt. Though I have seen two of their doctors, the staff is so disagreeable that it's not worth going here. I have never had one of the receptionists even smile at me. They are distracted and inattentive. I initially saw Dr. Teplitz for a new injury and he was very kind and understanding. He told me to call and be seen immediately if I had a recurrence due to the nature of the problem. Unfortunately, getting through his staff to get an appt quickly is like trying to climb Mt. Everest. And when I recently injured an arm with a history of a break that I had not seen Dr. Teplitz for, he refuses to see me because I cannot produce all of the records (because they are so old they were destroyed), even though I have the x-rays and ER reports. After three days of contentious phone conversations, the very nasty staff told me that they would LET me see another doctor (isn't that kind of them), but then "accidentally" hung up on me. My advice is to not become invested with this practice unless you have absolutely NO prior orthopedic history and you don't mind being snapped at by surly receptionists, who are completely unaccommodating. After being a patient for several years, I now have to start over with a new orthopedic practice. read more

Dr Lazar-Antman is fabulous with kids, would have been 5 stars but dealing with her office staff is the ABSOLUTE WORST. They are nasty, unhelpful, rude and pretty much could care less if you are standing at the desk, need help, need to make an appointment -- doesn't matter (that's if anyone is at the desk -- they huddle in the back behind the divider until they "have to" help). Really truly the worst group of unfriendly people behind a desk that you will ever encounter -- the only reason we continue to go is because the doctor is the exact opposite and wonderful with kids. read more
