Reagan and Sheila Miles who own and run Winterfrost Farm are just wonderful. Their horse rescue program is a model that should be used more often. Using rehabilitated rescue horses, they offer trail rides to the general public. This helps them manage the costs of caring for over 30 rescues, and provides a sorely needed service for this area, while giving the horses a job to do - which is something they really need. They put most of their horses in Bosals so inexperienced riders don't pull on their mouths. They are super with beginners. Sheila worked with my timid seven year old niece who told me with saucer eyes that the small pony they had saddled for her was "big" and got her comfortable enough to ride for one hour on the trails with the rest of her family. We didn't believe it could happen. What a great day we had. Thank your Reagan and Sheila! read more
