Thankfully, the new owners of this pub have the right idea, and since they took over a few weeks ago, the improvement is marked. The restaurant is cosy, clean and the staff friendly and eager to please. There is a regularly updated blackboard menu with a good selection of savoury dishes and traditional puddings. I ordered lasagne (homemade) and J had slow-cooked beef in Guinness - £10 & £12.50 including sides. The food was freshly prepared, made from scratch, hot and delicious. I can see this becoming one of our regular haunts...
