Her Somali crepe paired with her chai tea was absolutely fantastic! And I got her soup to go which was also good. I'd also recommend Nikki's Chocolates. Her almond energy balls were really good!!

Natalie's Tamales (Instagram natalies_tamles). Met her at an Yelp event and fell in love with the tamales and sauces. Having southern roots been hard to find a good tamale, but Natalie has nailed it. The pork and chicken tamales are delicious! Like I said the weather was not the best, but I was still surprised at how many vendors were there. Ranging from fresh sausage, fruits, vegetables, sweets, cheeses and wine and alcohol. I met a chef, Chef Scott Bernard. (Instagram goodneighborflavor) He has a stand with balavka, original and brown sugar cinnamon. They both were tasty, the brown sugar cinnamon was my favorite. He was very friendly. He told me he does catering, and four course private dinners, as well as opening a Bistro in Cheektowaga coming soon. I love going and meeting new vendors. I will definitely have to try this market in the summer, where I am sure will have way more vendors. Shop local!

It is pretty much always crowded, so be prepared to stand in lines at most of the vendor booths. The lines actually feel like a plus to me, since it is well organized and clear to know who is next. Some markets feel more like a free-for-all of whoever is loudest and this way is far more comfortable for a person with social anxiety. Of course it's crowded because everything here is high quality and sold at peak freshness. There are fruits, veggies, prepared foods, canned foods, flowers, and in the late spring / early summer you'll find seedlings for home gardens. Prices aren't low but it is important to support our local food infrastructure and the flavors are outstanding. I have talked with a lot of the farmers and vendors and every one has been friendly and helpful. Most vendors I shop with here accept credit cards. I would love to see more variety, as most of the farm stands tend to have similar things - farmers, please grow more tomatillos, radicchio, hakurei turnips, artichokes, and other less-common veggies! Logistics: Streets are tight, parking is all parallel-parking on the street, and there are not enough sidewalks. The entire market is on grass. I don't think there are any restrooms. Bring a wagon if you intend to buy anything large or heavy.

It was so much fun to wander past the stalls of local food/produce/products and see all of the people out enjoying the gorgeous morning. We ate breakfast here from one of the vendors. They have a few small tables and chairs you can sit at - a lot of other people brought chairs or blankets. The vendors were varied and all local - it was really a wonderful way to start our trip to Buffalo.

I go here for all my annuals, and all my herbs that I grow. I used to buy veggie plants, too, but now I just focus on flowers and herbs. Their selection is wonderful, and they are always fully-stocked. They have tons of plants, and several different vendors. Good news is, the prices are basically the same so there's no need to shop around- but some vendors focus more on one thing than others. There's the herb and vegetable plant seller, and the one that focuses more on flowers. Then the one in the back sells everything- but they each have their own unique items. I try to purchase form everyone to spread the wealth. There is a vendor who has a "farmers market" but it's not a real farmers market. They are selling food that you get at supermarkets- produce form California, Mexico, et. They are NOT selling local farm stand items, so if you want a farmers market experience where you support your local farmers- DO NOT buy form this one. This is my really big negative gripe about this place. The parking lot is also atrocious!! there are more potholes, crumbling asphalt, and dips than there is smooth pavement! I have to drive 5mps through the whole place! They could use a new parking lot - it's really bad. There's also a flea market of sorts in the far back that is there sometimes, not other items- I went to look once, but it seemed like a lot of junk, and nothing I was interested in. I will say this place is an odd mix of things, but the flower vendors for my garden are irreplaceable, an I will always com here to stock my garden every year!

I know we all joke about how eating unhealthy stuff is cheaper and makes us happy. But hands up if your body feels worse after the fact. Now take those hands and use one of them to tug open the door to Boulevard Produce. Post washing, of course. Keeping it sanitary. They're also keeping six feet apart and requiring all visitors to wear a mask. Now, don't fret if you forgot yours. Just pull your shirt over your face and quickly buy one of their fabric masks for sale at the entrance. Sometimes there will be disposable gloves at the entrance as well, but I didn't notice any today. Be sure to wash what you buy, as not everything comes in plastic and people don't always buy what their germs touch. Pro-tip, bring something, or someone, to carry all your goodies with you as you shop. Much like the farmers market there aren't baskets or buggies to tote your things around. I've been offered a box before by a nice chap that works there, but on the chance it's his day off, best not to risk dropping your mound of goods. I'll be honest. I tend to breeze past a good bit of the first wall when I enter the cooler, as I am a wuss when I comes to trying new veggies like swiss chard and parsnips. But then you turn around and there is what I think of as Hector's Heaven, with cheap varieties of lettuce and carrots that'll please my bunny until he's fat. It's over half off the price that's across the street at Tops. They've got fruits for me, as I am a fruit fanatic, and carts of dairy too. This week there were massive bins of 50 cent per pound apples that I dug into. In the other room there was also a sale on taters where there had previously been bell peppers. They'd been 3 for a dollar before, and fueled my bunny's addiction. Thankfully they're still priced pretty low, as my spoiled boy and I want to eat like royalty. Really healthy royalty. They've got other goodies too, like honey and maple syrup. There is only so much room in my backpack and I have to practice self restraint as I lay my findings on the counter. I'm left with change to spare and skedaddle before I can convince myself to just carry more in my hands. Because when it comes down to it, produce does rot. Besides, they're open six days a week, so I can stop back for more. Hector gives this place 5 paws up. (Well, four paws and one of my hands, but he tried.)

North Buffalo Farmers Market…read more Located in the church parking lot of Holy Spirit Church just next to Burger King is a new Farmers Market - added to the rapidly growing Farmers Market scene of Buffalo NY. Opening day I noticed the vendors below. They do expect to add others moving forward. Jolie's Chinese Traditional Food Singer Farm Naturals The House of Olives Gino's Italian Bakery Hens Honey Bee Farm Kornerstone Coffee Code Blu Juice Bar Librock Farm Arden Farm I'm thrilled there is a Farmers Market closer to where I live, and not on a Sat morning. Well done on that front. While the vendor stalls were well spaced, there was also a lot of space between them, so I look forward to more vendors coming. This is a venue that is very stroller/wheelchair etc friendly, which, if you've been to other markets around town, you know is not always the case. The 4th star is because of that. The layout is just plain easy and comfortable. Parking is street, or the BK lot, which is what we did.

Stocked up on honey from Geri Hens (a familiar face for years at farmer's markets in WNY), & bought a gorgeous strip steak from Librock Farm (from Gasport). I'm so glad to have a midweek farmer's market so close to home. It is my understanding that there will be an "official" opening later this month and that more vendors will be joining the market.
