Certainly Perfected the self serve model reminiscent of a tourist town, no table service which seemed to work just fine. Simply go to the bar for a drink, or inside for a food order. They will bring it to the table and the staff quickly cleans up any empty food order beverage containers. While "running a tab" is not their strength (needed to remind them to bill for missing items), they are a great stop with great people and would say the experience was not missing anything. Would certainly recommend the experience to anyone. Think casual, river side, sun burnt and ready for good food and fun!

Special was 1/2 pound cheese burger and fries. Hard to say no to that. Burger was very juicy and cooked perfectly. Bun was toasted and I was surprised by the fresh lettuce and tomato. A step above the standard bar burger. Fries were crispy and hot, not soggy at all. Waitress was very friendly and helpful even to an out of town face. Never had to wait for my iced tea to be refilled. I would highly recommend Jugs&Suds. Don't let the name scare you off.

I think we probably ended up here because of the word "Jugs" in the title. This is not, I repeat NOT, a titty bar... although it would have been more fun if it were! This is one of those places that serves fried pickles with ranch dip, country music blares in the background, and beer flows freely. I can't complain at all about this place. It was actually kind of fun. It's certainly not anywhere I'd go if I weren't in Onawa, but alas, I was!

If you find yourself out near Fremont Nebraska, close to a one horse town named Nickerson, with a bar and grill named the One Horse Saloon, stop and eat.... Don't pass this place up. Today was a little too cool & windy for us to enjoy it, but inside by the sunny windows was perfect. Hubby had a Reuben burger. He loved it. I had a chicken salad which has a garlic-pesto dressing. (I attached a picture.) The chicken was cooked perfectly. I could have eaten a while other portion. Everyone in my group finished their entire plates. My Mom & her bestie had the steak tips and fries. That looked SO good. I was a tad jealous. We don't live far; about an hour away. This is a really nice new building. It's large with many TV's and tables. They do have a food menu but for convenience we ordered a burger that they were grilling and selling outdoors. There are many picnic tables and a couple of stages on their large landing outside the main building. Everything seems super clean which is nice, and the folks that work there are very accommodating. I can only comment to the women's restroom, but they are fantastic! Each stall is completely private and well maintained! Always nice! I boated there over Memorial Day weekend, and while they did have bands it was nice that there was no cover. Who does that?!? Just another refreshing part of this newer establishment. They did add gas on their docks for boats which they didn't have last year. Fantastic except on this particular day anyway they did not have dedicated docks for boats that needed gas, but rather they would drag the gas hose over other boats to get to the boat that needed gas. Meanwhile the boat needing gas had to hold on to other docked boats to keep it steady while filling up. Hopefully this will not be a practice they continue as it seemed a bit dangerous and annoying for the owners of the docked boats. Their RV campground seemed full and nice, although it will be even nicer once the newer trees grow enough to actually provide some shade. Welcome back Cottonwood Marina!!
