We ordered a burger, the chicken sandwich, the firecrackers and some onion rings! Everything was hot when it came out and tasted great! The firecrackers are sort of a jalepeño popper/crab Rangoon situation drizzled with hot honey! The views are nice overlooking the marina and the people were all very welcoming and fun! Kid-friendly and dog-friendly on the patio. No photos because I left my phone in the car, but I'll definitely be back!

Ride here on your motorcycle or pull up in your boat! This place is very unique. We saw toddlers to people in their 70's they are welcoming to all. A great small town experience to pull from miles. Certainly Perfected the self serve model reminiscent of a tourist town, no table service which seemed to work just fine. Simply go to the bar for a drink, or inside for a food order. They will bring it to the table and the staff quickly cleans up any empty food order beverage containers. While "running a tab" is not their strength (needed to remind them to bill for missing items), they are a great stop with great people and would say the experience was not missing anything. Would certainly recommend the experience to anyone. Think casual, river side, sun burnt and ready for good food and fun!

Special was 1/2 pound cheese burger and fries. Hard to say no to that. Burger was very juicy and cooked perfectly. Bun was toasted and I was surprised by the fresh lettuce and tomato. I think we probably ended up here because of the word "Jugs" in the title. This is not, I repeat NOT, a titty bar... although it would have been more fun if it were! This is one of those places that serves fried pickles with ranch dip, country music blares in the background, and beer flows freely. I can't complain at all about this place. It was actually kind of fun. It's certainly not anywhere I'd go if I weren't in Onawa, but alas, I was!

And it's comes with a side of country gravy just like chicken fried steak, how could I not try a special burger like that.... And I was not disappointed! It was wonderful, so juicy and flavorful, with the breading surrounding a hand made patty, dipped into that thick, got peppery gravy.... So, so, so good. My wife chose the mushroom Swiss Burger and tots. She couldn't finish the whole burger, it was a big Burger with lots of tots, so I got to try it. She had be reaching about it all the time we were eating, as was I about my burger, and I wasn't sure I could eat the small little sliver she had left but she gave it to me to try and, wow.... It was really as good as what I got. So much cheese and mushrooms, and the burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. If you find yourself out near Fremont Nebraska, close to a one horse town named Nickerson, with a bar and grill named the One Horse Saloon, stop and eat.... Don't pass this place up. Btw....as we were getting ready to leave, the couple next to us ordered ribs, and I almost say back down for another meal. So many great choices.... We have got to come back here.

We didn't know all the ingredients so ended up with some we'd have had taken off (or not ordered the dish if it that wasn't possible) The service was pretty slow and it didn't seem like it was very busy. My friend's steak was super small and just okay. Overall, I'd give them another chance, because maybe the service aspects were not typical. After seeing review after review on OFL, I suggested we stop here while driving through Fremont…read more The inside threw me off a bit. There's a massive bar and digital menus that were hard to read. It's fast-casual style, so you order at the counter, which I wasn't expecting given how many menu options there were. I ordered the BBQ burger, a Monster Cookie shake, and a mix of sidewinders and potato barrels. The clear standout was the potato barrels--basically cheesy, bacon-topped hash brown tater tots, and so good. The rest was a bit underwhelming considering the hype. I was expecting the shake to be an actual monster cookie flavor (oats, PB, M&Ms, etc.), but it ended up being a Cookie Monster theme with Oreo. The burger was politely... nothing special. I get the appeal--especially for families--but I was hoping for a bit more based on what I'd seen online.

They do have a food menu but for convenience we ordered a burger that they were grilling and selling outdoors. There are many picnic tables and a couple of stages on their large landing outside the main building. Everything seems super clean which is nice, and the folks that work there are very accommodating. I can only comment to the women's restroom, but they are fantastic! Each stall is completely private and well maintained! Always nice! I boated there over Memorial Day weekend, and while they did have bands it was nice that there was no cover. Who does that?!? Just another refreshing part of this newer establishment. They did add gas on their docks for boats which they didn't have last year. Fantastic except on this particular day anyway they did not have dedicated docks for boats that needed gas, but rather they would drag the gas hose over other boats to get to the boat that needed gas. Meanwhile the boat needing gas had to hold on to other docked boats to keep it steady while filling up. Hopefully this will not be a practice they continue as it seemed a bit dangerous and annoying for the owners of the docked boats. Their RV campground seemed full and nice, although it will be even nicer once the newer trees grow enough to actually provide some shade. Welcome back Cottonwood Marina!!
