I've been disappointed driving down there and having to go elsewhere for cigarettes. But I don't hold any grudges. They are open until 10 pm and offer a strange variety of services for a neighbourhood convenience store, including key cutting and dry cleaning. They've never screwed any of our clothes up and they get it back quite quickly. And their prices are reasonable. For smokes, too. Daniel, the owner, is a good man and understands what it takes to run a local convenience store. He's built relationships with a lot of locals and always remembers his customers and what they usually come in for.

If you're…read morenot familiar with good ol "Sev" as we called it when we used to delinquently skateboard in the parking lots back in junior high school, while some of us (not me of course) experimented with the badass-ness of cigarettes... you'll find they've got a non alcoholic drink selection of drinks you'll find at any convenience store... EXCEPT the often imitated but NEVER duplicated, 7-Eleven Slurpee. This place doesn't do them better than other Sevs, but it does them better (IMHO) than any other convenient store chain throughout Canada and the US. (US Slurpees are messed up... it's disappointing if you grew up with 7-Eleven your whole life. ) - This particular 7-Eleven doesn't have a gas station. - This particular 7-Eleven is kind of hard to get to if you are going East bound on Kensington/Memorial/Parkdale... whatever the street is at the awkward triple intersection of street name changey-ness. - This particular 7-Eleven often has particularly surly staff... to me, anyway. I've heard that I just need to know who they are and how to treat them, but my mostly positive, enthusiastic demeanour has been greeted with nothing but a scowl and the amount I need to pay them for what ever beverage/junk food purchase I'm making. - This particular 7-Eleven is right next door to PIZZA BOBS! I needed some mix, and in a pinch this corner store had what I needed. there is a small selection of soda but they have the bases covered for standard drink mixins. They even carry some tetras of juice which is handy - both for drinks and for an impluse saturday brunch at home. I didn't look around to much at what else they had to offer but I will be back to find out. The owner was super friendly, very chatty and approachable, even introduced himself when I said I was new to the neighbourhood. I love mom and pop shops and I hope places like daylight grocery survive. Open until 9 on weeknights, closed on Sunday.

Not only that, but there's a 7-Eleven app that can get you lots of rewards just for being a local customer to the franchise. Sure, it's not the place to go for lunch or dinner, but it's the best place to go for when you need to make a quick stop on a road trip. The only downside is the lack of a bathroom.

My friend had a gift card, but didn't know how much was on it, so before we got slurpees we waited in line to see what the balance was. We arrive at the front of the line, and ask "Can you check how much is on this card?" Only for her to tell us that they don't check gift cards?! We were flabbergasted and decided to leave. Out of curiosity I called the location after to see if they checked gift cards, and they said they do! So screw that lady. And screw 7/11 for letting us down.

Otherwise it's a great one stop shop, they pretty consistently have hot food items ready and the store is clean. If your looking for a slurpee maybe consider a different location. They have a limited selection of flavours and the ones they do have seem to always be the weird ones (mango heat, watermelon green apple). A couple times I have also noticed the flavours are miss labeled or they lack any flavour all together.

Many times I've given up and tried to find a better time of day. But no matter when I come or how many people are working in there( today it was 6) I wait. Then the pharmacist tied to charge me $67 for a drug that is %100 covered by my insurance. A generic drug has recently come on the market, causing my insurance to only pay the generic cost. They did not explain that. I went from paying $2 to $67 and they didn't think to mention anything. They got all that education in drug interactions but have zero skills in people interactions.

She pushed his items to the back and then started putting my items through - which resulted in our items getting mixed up. I asked her to stop doing that and to hand me my items, she was extremely surly. She charged me twice for the eggs I purchased; didn't realize this until I got home. I contacted the store and left a message but didn't receive a call back. I'm paying a lot of money for groceries and now being charged twice. Would not recommend this store to anyone.
