The 2018 Cabernet was outstanding and so was the 2015 Spätburgunder trocken. Another one we enjoyed was the 2011 Cuvée Johann Adam trocken. We stocked up our son's wine cellar because we couldn't take any home with us...if we could, we would have!! And to top it off the owner was very knowledgeable and was so kind to answer all our questions. We will be back on our next visit to Germany!!

Besides new wine, we were also able to purchase traditional German foods to accompany the new wine. I highly recommend the Schmalzbrot... a hearty German bread with a spread of animal fat... sounds gross, but is delicious... imagine bacon drippings on bread. Also sampled the Flammkuchen, which is a pizza like creation, but without the red sauce.. it has cream cheese and caramelized onions, bacon and herbs on it. You have to try it. If you're ever in this area, just walk on in an sample wine and food. You won't regret it.
