    Spicy Korean BBQ wings
    James I.

It seems every time I find a wing flavor that I like it gets removed from the menu. I usually go to Peabody's or Fat Rabbit but both removed my favorite Asian inspired flavors - Gen Tso (FR) and Korean BBQ (Peabody's). I heard that Wingstop had a KBBQ flavor so off I went. Pros: Unlike the Carrollwood location, they actually have dine in with 4-5 tables. They are fairly priced and there are lots of different combos. I got a 10 piece Spicy Korean BBQ wings (bone in), fries, and a soda for $13. Most bars charge that JUST for 10 wings nowadays. They also have thighs instead of wings which is unheard of for a wing place. You can customize the fry seasoning (Regular, Louisiana , Cajun, Lemon etc) I got Cajun and it was yummy!. The fries are similar in taste to 5 guys. Im not into dipping sauces but they gave me 2 larger than normal containers of blue cheese! The wings tasted just like Peabody's and they were similar in size/amount of meat. Given the prices, I was expecting tiny ones, but I was pleasantly surprised! The sauce/spices were nigh identical. Neutral: Wings took 20 minutes to come out. Cons: The A/C is non existent. Thankfully it was October. I went on Sunday around 6:45 pm and by 7:15 pm . the place was packed! Families, USF students. The interior is not large, so it got a bit cramped. Most did not have a mask on, so if you are unvaccinated or nervous in general go on a weekday. After eating messy food like wings, I always go to the bathroom to clean up. however, the men's bathroom door was stuck. Despite telling the employees and getting the manager to attempt to pry it open with a flat metallic spatula it wouldnt open. They didnt have a standard key (WTF?) I had to leave and walk to a Winn Dixie 1 minute away and clean up in their bathroom. Overall: good food and prices, but the ancillary factors are lacking

Update: its been 7 business days & i still have NOT received my refund. Ive called wing stop on Friday, 10.25.24 & was told it would be 3-5 business days if the refund hasn't already been processed by their corporate. I called wing stop Tuesday 10.29.24 & was told my Nisha & Jay that they are unable to check if my refund was processed they stated it would be 5-7 business days if the refund wasn't processed the prior two times inquired about it. I am so disappointed that its taking all of this to receive a refund for a product i never received.

I'm sick of these wings flapping while I'm trying to eat them... somebody make the wing stop! I couldn't really be any less of a fan of Wingstop to be honest. I'm fresh out of living for many years in Buffalo, so I know what good Wings are, and these aren't them - and it makes me sad that people think these are good wings. My Florida friends swear by them and I can barely contain my annoyance while eating them. Service isn't bad though, so they got an extra star.

Great day for some wings! This Wingstop on Fowler has been my go to wing spot for over 5 years and counting. I ordered the new flavor Meltdown which they took off the menu but it's incredible!! The service was phenomenal. I walked in at 4:30 pm and got my food by 4:39 pm. It was and clean and quiet on the inside as well

    Louisiana Dry Rub wing.

Wing Stop has a good dry rub wings. I had ordered many of their wings in the past and did not find the love of it until the current visit. The Louisiana Dry Rub is the best that they have. If you have not try them, you may want to do it. It is addictive. The Louisiana Dry Rub is Cajun spice with hint of garlic. It is very tasty. If you only can handle the medium spicy, this wings is very good fit for you. I like it because of the spiciness but the Dry Rub with Dry wing. I am not particularly like the wet wings. So this preparation is to my liking. The wing is crispy and have good kick of spicy taste. It is not sweaty spicy. It is also crispy. The phone order was accurate and the the promised pick up time is exact. The price is good with $0.80 per wing.

Finally had Wingstop with my brother after hearing much hype. We went in person to order takeout which was a mistake - a little over 30 mins of waiting. Order online for takeouts! We had the Crew Pack boneless wings with fries included. Their fries caught us both off guard. It tasted like fries tossed in sugar, super sweet with a tiny hint of salt. First time having sweet tasting fries other than sweet potatoe fries. Their boneless wings were very crispy, which I liked. For sauces we had the Garlic Parmesan, Louisiana Rub and Cajun. I liked the Garlic Parm and Louisiana, both dry seasoning. Cajun was a wet seasoning, wasn't a fan. Dry seasonings over wet seasonings for boneless wings here.

The restaurant was clean, bright, and had ample seating and parking. I loved everything that I tried. All the food is prepared fresh, so everything came out piping hot. The firecracker chicken bowl was my favorite. I got it medium spice. It was absolutely delicious. It was hot, crispy, spicy, and a touch of sweet. The fried rice was super flavorful, and this is something I typically miss at typical Chinese food restaurants as I cannot eat pork. Of course, no pork in this fried rice. My partner got the sesame chicken, and I presume it was amazing because he wolfed it down so fast, I didn't have to even sneak a bite. The Japanese fried chicken was a 10 out of 10! It was lightly breaded, flavorful, and crispy. This place is a gem. I seriously recommend it and may even go back today. When we were eating, someone came in and ordered a mango matcha. It looked so good that I have to go back to try it.

Sadly, there were no lunch deals available with the online ordering system, so my meal was less of a bargain. I ordered a strawberry matcha tea with brown sugar boba and karaage with lo mein. As I was driving over, I received a call from the restaurant informing me that since they just opened that morning, the boba would not be ready for an hour, so I could either wait or switch to popping boba (I chose the latter). Also, the karaage is no longer on the menu, so could they switch to whole wings? Fine. The food was ready when I arrived. It was packaged in styrofoam, and the corners were NOT punched out, so by the time I got home, the chicken was no longer crispy. (Thankfully, I did sample a wing in the parking lot before I drove home, so I can say that the wings are crispy and delicious if eaten immediately.) I had ordered medium spice, and it was spicy! And I like spice! If you are not spice tolerant, go with mild or no spice. My lips are still feeling hot. I thought the food was good, not life changing. Pretty typical Americanized Chinese food plus wings. My matcha tea was on the sweet side and with not a lot of matcha flavor. I wish I could have requested a lower level of sweetness on the online ordering site.

Their fried chicken is the best I've ever had, and the spice levels are actually legit. But my favorite thing on the menu is the peri peri chicken. The peri peri chicken is CRAZY good. It's a South African-style grilled chicken served with fries, and I always get the corn ribs on the side too. The chicken sits on top of a tortilla, which I use to soak up all the juices and eat with the chicken. Even though it's grilled, it's unbelievably moist every single time. It's packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and ridiculously juicy. I seriously cannot get enough of it, and I HIGHLY recommend everyone try it. If it's not the best grilled chicken in Tampa, it's definitely one of the best. And don't skip the sauces. We tried this place about a year ago, and we had a completely different experience than before. I can honestly say, I won't be back. Not ever. Not even a chance. This place is filthy. The floors, the tables, the bathrooms (the worst I have ever seen), and even the napkin holders. I had immediate regrets upon stepping in based on the lack of cleanliness. The amount of flies swarming was alarming. The service was a zero. The girl working watched us order at the kiosk, the kiosk wouldn't let us pay, we tell her, and she says "oh it doesn't work." So we ordered with her even though she sat around watching us waste our time. I ordered a wing meal, told her I wanted the wings injected, and she said "we don't inject them. I will give you sauce on the side." The menu clearly says they inject wings, social media videos always show it, and also, my last visit there was also injected wings but she would give me no explanation other than "I will give you the sauce on the side." It was bizarre and I couldn't even get a "we don't do that anymore" from her. We ordered a chicken sando. The quality was horrible. Chicken tasted overly processed with bad texture. We also ordered a wing combo. The wings were flavorless. Absolutely flavorless. I ordered medium and there was zero spice. Not even a tad. Apparently they don't inject their wings anymore so there was no flavor in the wings. The quality was pretty bad. Also, the "sauce on the side" that the girl working promised me was not the sauce I ordered, it was the sauce she chose. The whole ordering experience was odd. Definitely seemed like someone who did not care about providing good service, good food, or a sanitary environment. We waited about 25 minutes for our food. About 3 people came in to get pickup orders while we waited and no one else. So we sat and waited while the flys swarmed our heads. The cashier never once tried to come out and clean the filthy tables. She even paused doing nothing for a restroom break, used the filthy restroom, came out with WET hands, and grabbed a napkin from the dusty napkin holder on the filthy table to dry her hands. Then still never wiped down the table caked with food debris. Absolute terrible level of cleanliness, care, and service. It ruined my appetite. After waiting that long, the Mac n cheese was ice cold. 25 minutes for Mac n cheese with a chill to it and no heat. I'm convinced they pulled it out of the refrigerator and forgot to heat it up. This place just had too many misses: a lack of quality, a lack of good service, and a lack of any sanitation standards. Never again. We didn't finish our food. We threw it away outside.

A bartender greeted me and gave me water. For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. Bottom line up front - meh…read more I went here this afternoon after seeing this business highlighted this morning by my local TV station, FOX 13 - WTVT. This is a sports bar that apparently serves wings. And they are supposed to be "famous wings." We will see. It was about 1130 when we got there and I was surprised to see quite a few people already in the place, usually an indication that a place is good. The menu was not too big or too small, another good sign (to me anyway) that they have mastered a simpler menu. I ordered 10 wings, which are quite pricey at $18.49. I chose two flavors, "Hot" and "Spicy Garlic Parmesan." Their menu states that the hot is "very very hot." I can eat heat, so I expected "very very hot." They came out hot (just cooked) and about an average size. But nothing about them smelled like they were "very very hot." They were cooked well, meaning they weren't overcooked or undercooked. They come out unbreaded. I looked them over and one side had Parmesan cheese shreds and the other was also wet. But Spicy? No. The 5 wings that were suppose to be hot tasted like ordinary buffalo sauce with no heat to it. The 5 wings that were suppose to be Spicy Garlic Parmesan were not spicy or garlic flavored. You could taste the Parmesan, but that is it. What a disappointment. Since the server did not come back after the food arrived, there was zero chance to address this, even if I had wanted to. To be honest, I usually won't fight with the server to make something better. I feel that if I get something from the kitchen, that they made my food the way they always make that kind of food. So, my point is that they really suck at making wings with sauce on them. Since this is the first time I've been here, I can't say if this version of their wings is the norm, or a one off. But, I don't live in the immediate area and this is just an ordinary sports bar with mediocre wings, so I likely won't come back. Should you? If you have other options, I'd probably not go out of my way to come here. There are plenty of other places to try. If I was a local and looking for a sports bar, this might be worth a few more visits to see if anything else on the menu is worth it., and to watch sports. They have a ton of TVs and from where I sat I could see no less than 5 TVs. One last note. Charley, the wings at this place sucked. You should be ashamed. I trusted you.
