Wait staff very welcoming, attentive and trained. Ambiance of a well thought out sports bar and large pub. Comfortable; great air conditioning for the hot 100°+ days of Matamoros! Clean: tables, floors, bathrooms etc... The problem: the food is horrid! First and foremost, the wings are breaded as opposed to being naked and the breading has a seasoning which over powers the buffalo sauce. But the biggest problem is the concept? Breading wings is the standard and served unless requested otherwise, a surprise to my wife and I. As a Chef the reasons for breading is to achieve an all around crispy crunch. No Chef would sauce a breaded item for it defeats the reason for breading. When we received the wings they were slimy, warm, pale skin beneath the breading and the sauce and breading clash in flavor. Also: what is advertised as Blue Cheese is in fact a nasty tasting Ranch and Blue cheese mix from a large plastic bottle you can buy at the local big box store. It's inedible! Hand cut fries, great idea but fried once. If you are going to serve fresh cut fries, they must be par-fried for 2-3 min. cooled and then fried a second time until done. Ours were not and therefore limp and cold when arriving at the table. Nacho's, canned cheese sauce, stale chips, enough said! 546MXN(pesos) @ 19.60 =$27.85 USD. Left 90% of the food on the table, my wife finished off the fries. Manager tried to make things right by offering to exchange for other items, pick up the check etc... exactly what he should do. We declined with a smile and certainly appreciated the offer. read more
