I don't drink beer, but should I have friends round for dinner and need to buy a case, I'll drive past three other off sales to go here. Whilst I don't drink beer, I do however go through an absolutely astonishing amount of red wine, a lot of which I purchase in Curley's. The selection is quite good, and even though major supermarkets have been criticised recently for selling booze at below cost price, Curley's reds are always cheaper, often by a couple of quid a bottle. You won't find anything weird or wonderful here, but when you need to get stuff in, you'll save yourself a ton of money.

Next door to a PizzaWorks which is BYO and opposite an ATM means that this store is always going to be a success! There's also a Subway and a FroYo shop in this small complex. The shop itself is great - it has a good selection of wine, spirits and beer. Importantly a selection of the wine and beer is kept refrigerated which means that as soon as it's been purchased it's ready to drink. I know I'm sounding like a total Alcho here but there's nothing worse than buying booze and having to wait 20 minutes for it to cool down. Price wise there's always deals in wine and beer in here - often deals that rival supermarket offers. Two words: Super Convenient!

As mentioned by other people, this is more of a wine merchant. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and even stop for a chat with you if you know what you want and don't need any assistance, however if you are going to a party, special dinner, or want to gift a bottle of wine to someone who knows considerably more about fine wines than you do, this is the place to go. The wines are reasonably priced for the quality (quite frankly if you want a cheapo bottle of plonk, then there's always Tesco or Sainsburys!) but they do have a number of offers on any time I have been in, where you can get a few bottles for a reduced price!

They cater for Corporate Events, Weddings, Christenings, Anniversaries & offer Corporate Gifts / Hampers (See more about this on their website) Plus as a very added bonus they sell the most beautifully decorated drinking glasses. These make GREAT presents, if you've resorted to the old bottle of drink as a token gift, then let your wander to to these and voila, problem solved! The glasses come in different shapes, sizes and decorations so you can even start your own collection! (Then have to buy some tasty wine to put christen it... oh no!)

In my opinion it sells the best wine of all the supermarket chains. I rate it even more highly than some of the smaller independent off licences. The reason for this is that Sainsbury's wines are definitely, by far, the best quality, selection and price. It's also a lovely large, well designed off licence with a bright, clean feel and exceptionally helpful staff. Top marks.

Very, very convenient. It's a small off licence so doesn't have a huge range of wines and drink. However you'll find some decent enough wine here at a variety of prices. Great if you're heading to a BYOB restaurant in town and have forgotten your wine!

And considering myself quite cultured among my Buckfast-swilling friends too. As such, the Vineyard isn't an offy I go out of my way to, specialising in proper wines and drinks for those who drink for taste and actually keep the cork of a bottle of wine to put it in the bottle and keep it for later. I do call in fairly often as it's on my way home, and no doubt embarrass myself terribly by going for the £5.99 or £4.99 rose, but I care not. The Vineyard is about the best place on the Ormeau Road to go if you want to buy someone a nice bottle of wine as a pressie, or to bring to someone's house if they're making you dinner. But I call in mainly for convenience rather than choice, although clearly that's my fault for being such a pleb.
