This is a really great addition to Leytonstone's high street, they are a tiny shop selling wine which you can take away in refillable bottles. They focus on local and artisan wines and wines from small producers, and I think usually have about three different wines on tap. You can also buy wine by the bottle, which tend to be pricer. Of course you can try the wines on tap before you buy which is a nice touch.
On top of this they've got a small selection of craft beers from some of the better known micro-breweries such as Kernel and Beavertown. These aren't refridgerated however so not ideal if you're planning on drinking them right away. You'll also find a few locally produced ciders if that's your thing.
The staff are really friendly and helpful, and really make the shop. It's so small you've got no chance of not engaging in a conversation while you're in there.
The main flaw I have though is that they seem to often be shut when I try to go there, but I've finally found their opening times on Facebook and maybe I've just been unluckly as they're only open Weds to Sun and close no later than 8pm.
I think if they increased their opening hours a bit and expanded their craft beer selection (it would be brilliant to go in there and find a couple of rare ones) then this would definitely be a 5 star place. read more
