The sweet apple chutney is particularly great, especially with a bit of gorgonzola! The ciders come in great souveneir containers, the contents of which may blow some peoples heads off. The local beers are also lovely, including a local ginger beer which my mum said was great. Also available are some nice sweet treats such as sticks of rock, fudge, toffee, and all your typical holiday bring - back sweets. The toffee comes highly recommended, as the does the variety pack of fudge. Something else my mum adores. Despite being a bit more expensive than the average souvenir stop off, it's has some really wonderful items your mates will really appreciate. All drinks and jams and every other product is of great quality and firmly cements godshill cider barns reputation as being one of the best on the island. I have been in there and felt as though they couldn't wait for me to leave and was served by a lady with a permanent scowl on her face. I've heard other people say the same thing. I lived nearby for 6-7 months and came across a lot of people who found the place to be unfriendly, particularly in the off-peak months. The last time I went to buy some souvenirs for when I left the Island for good, I could hardly get away because they were so chatty. In that respect, it's a bit hit and miss but if you're looking for some nice edible souvenirs then this is a good place to have a nosey around.

It retains some of the features of the Lion Brewery (as it was called) and continues to supply kegs to pubs and restaurants in the area. However it is also a lovely little offie with an excellent selection of local bitters as well as specially imported wines and spirits.
