Late shipping (if at all), zero communications, zero support, nobody answering the phone and fake tracking information on a "tracking site" that I have never heard of since the invention of the internet. Went to this location for the first time, all that I can say is I prefer the Piscataway location, as the customer service here is not at the same level, I say this because the employee at this location was not as knowledgeable as in the Piscataway location. I think the next time I'll just make the longer trip to get the knowledgeable service that I have grown accustom to. The worst experience ever, I order my wine almost two weeks ago and haven't get it yet. Besides customer service it's another story. So rude, I called to ask about my package and this dry nasty woman was no help at all and she sound either drunk or high. I would not recommend this company at all. I placed my original order on May 21st as a gift to a relative for their birthday. At first, Wine Chateau's customer service was beneficial and supportive as I had to make a couple of changes to my order. The first was adding another bottle of Oakheart Rum Spiced to my order, the second was an address change, and since my order wasn't even ready to be shipped, they were able to fix the necessary adjustments. Fast forward to May 29th. I check on the status of my order, and it's still not ready (I checked the shipping times, and it was well over the amount of time it said it would take to ship). So, I inquire about canceling my order as another relative ordered the identical product from another company and received it before mine was even sent out. They replied that my order was still processing... On June 1st, I received an email stating that the product I ordered was back-ordered, and they didn't know when it'd be back in stock. So, again I inquired about a refund and was told that a request would be submitted for it. The next day, I received an email stating that my order was ready and would ship soon. I was okay with this until June 17th, when the order was delivered, and my relative showed me what they received. Two bottles of Bacardi spiced rum. I chatted with customer support on Wine Chateau's website, proving that my order was incorrect, and the only offer was to comp me for the difference in price (Oakheart is priced at $38.97, and Bacardi spiced rum is $19.95 on their site). After my third request for a refund, and after waiting an hour for a response, I ended the chat and just took the loss. This company never reached out to me about an alternative option that shows how shady a company they are. I will never order from here again. read more

So Wine Chateau in Metuchen is usually my home base for booze. A few times I've been told to check out this store (and Le Malt) because I usually buy a few bottles of scotch at a time. I've been hunting the Game of Thrones single malts and was excited to get over here. Unfortunately, the staff here had no idea what I was talking about when I couldn't find the GOT bottles and asked. He just pointed to the Johnny Walker bottle. I also had questions about the new black Macallan 12 bottle vs. the old maroon Macallan 12 bottle, and he had no idea what I was talking about. The scotch selection was large, on its own wall, and bigger than Metuchen but nothing was screaming my name. A few rare bottles were were mixed in with the usual suspects. Sometimes having that showcase with the 25 year olds priced at $3k is fun to go over to, but here they are all just mixed in. It was a little weird. Overall, not terrible, but not what I wanted at all. I had high expectations and was let down here. read more

My office is about 2 miles away from this wine store, I'm passing to this place 5 day a week and I've been here so many times. I always save my liquor shopping list for this place. Every time I come here i never get disappointed, very friendly store workers and you can always ask for any suggestions specially what wine is good to fair for my dinner. I decided to write reviews because after i check in in yelp today i found out that no one write reviews yet for this beautiful liquor store. This place is deserved 5 star from me big time! The reason i always save my liquor shopping moment here is because for me this is the only store with very reasonable prices from whiskey to wines including beers. Today i stop here to get 1 bottle of JW King George for my dad Christmas gift. Normally price range is $500+ but i got it for $299.00 amazing price. In years past I have had good luck with this company. However, this year I have had two bad experiences. The first time I ordered a rare-ish bottle of scotch. They sat on $250 of mine for a month before I finally called them and they told me they couldn't get it (no one made any effort to let me know this). It is Ardbeg Fermutation, and is still listed for sale on their site. I decided to give them another shot (different whisky), and am having the same experience. I just called them again, and they are currently "waiting for the bottle" from their supplier, but again, a month has passed and no one has contacted me. They can't give me a delivery date. This is again for expensive scotch. I live in the sticks, so the only way for me to get the good stuff is to drive a couple hundred miles or get stuff by mail. These folks used to be good, so this makes me very unhappy :-(. read more

They must have some nerve to charge $2,699 for Pappy Van Winkle 20 year old and $3,399 for the 23 year old. I found out through a friend who saw it elsewhere for $229 and $339 respectively. I know, i know impossible to get, unless you want to pay these kind of eye gauging prices..makes you wonder what they up-charge on other merchandise. Do your homework! Excellent experience when I first visited this store. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly- I like that I didn't have to go looking for help they were readily there to provide it. Their selection is outstanding. It encompasses rarer or hard to find wines all the way to your more "common" or name brands. I was able to find a few bottles I have not come across in quite some time and at more than reasonable prices. They also met or beat prices I had seen on other bottles as well. And I received a great recommendation on a wine I will definitely be back in to buy again. I managed a couple byob restaurants for almost 10 years and this would be a place I would recommend for those customers for the quality and price. Keep up the great work I will be back to this location for sure and for those reading this this is not a store up the street from me I have to travel so that says a lot about the store. read more

Wow! Always in the area but never stopped into this place. Firstly and most important, they have Circo Summer Colada. I have been looking for this for the past month and no one has it, but they do!!!! As soon as you walk in you're offered a sample of alcohol. I declined because normally liquor stores are sampling cheap wine or alcohol they're trying to get rid of but not here. They had high end brand, whiskey, etc for sample. The place is clean, and organize. It was easy to find the types of wine or alcohol you are looking for. I didn't feel pressure to rush my shopping experience by being followed or pestered by a sales associate. I appreciate the variety! They also had Asian liquor in addition to liquor I haven't seen before such as 1800 ultimate margarita. I never seen that before *shrugs*. It was shared with me they also hold wine tastings and events here. They have a walk-in wine fridge that can be seen from anywhere inside the store. I can't really speak on the prices but I'll check that out next time. read more
