Most places around here the bakery/fish market at Krogers, and many other establishments close at 9pm! This is the perfect spot to pick up alcohol for every occasion! They have hard liquor, wine, and beer! The Walmart and Krogers in the area only carry beer and wine. However, this convenience comes with a price. The prices here are a little steep for what you're getting and although they have sales they aren't really sale prices. Best place to get alcohol in Clinton! The workers are so friendly you might as well pay them a visit! You might even find something good for card night with the boys!

I'm about to let you in on a secret I feel like I shouldn't be sharing. This gas station has the…read morebest liquor store attached to it. Trust me on this. When I first learned of Delta Discount a friend from the area told me I needed to check out the gas station across the street from the "porn palace". I searched and searched online for the porn palace to determine what gas station he was talking about. There is no porn palace (it's a lions den) and my search history makes me look like a perv. But I digress. This is a Chevron station with a great liquor store inside. How great? I'm glad you asked. So great that once a year they get a barrel of Eagle Rare. So great that they usually have Old Forester 1920 (my favorite). So great that I picked up a Willet Full Proof Rye for about $60. So great that Caymus and Prisoner are reasonable and available. Plus the people who work there are cool AF. Pro tip. If you go buy multiple cases to hoard because you heard online Old Charter 8 is actually Pappy, you can eat a bag of somethings. But seriously, if you're leaving LA going to Vicksburg or leaving Vicksburg for LA, stop here.

I was walking to find dinner options in the Fondren area of Jackson, Mississippi and just happened…read moreto come across a small commercial cul-de-sac, complete with a small supermarket and a wine store. Good for me. Fondren Cellars is a boutique wine store that sells majority of its inventory in wine. It's quite interesting how I stumbled on this place without help. Just happened to be there at the right place at the right time. My experience here at this wine store only talk about 15 minutes on a casual Friday afternoon. It was a late April 2025 in Jackson Mississippi. I walked in without any expectations, but just to look. Ended up buying a bottle of wine and ended up drinking it after running a marathon the next day in the evening. The service here was good and educational guy helped me and I ended up buying something with an easy opening so I don't have to find a corkscrew somewhere in the city. I ended up with a Pinot Noir which has some nice earthly tones to it. The store itself was not huge, but they carry and a large assortment of wine and other cocktails. It is quite a collection and definitely want to come back to if you're in the area of Jackson, Mississippi. The store itself was arranged in a particular fashion so anybody who is a customer here can find what they need quickly and efficiently. Majority of my experience here was browsing around to see what was available here before making my selection. It was nice to be informed about the many variations of Sauvignon, Blanc and other forms of bread and white wine, generally speaking. It was helpful to know that there is informed Staff here to make you pick the best way possible for your needs. Bottles of wine here range significantly, depending on what brand of wine you are wanting to purchase. I don't think they had a restroom here for a customers, but always nice to ask. They also feature wine tasting monthly, but I guess I forgot to ask since I was there during those times that they had posted. The overall experience here at Fondren Cellars here in Jackson, Mississippi was fairly casual, informative, and definitely want to return to if my future travels permit me to do so. I did love the fantastic array of the selection here. Vintage or not vintage wines helps aid in the selection process. I walked around the shop and made my decisions that day. It was cool to be able to go to a wine store and grab a bottle of wine just like that. There wasn't much air conditioning in the store but it was comfortable. The ambiance was nice and quiet since there was nobody in the store when I was in there at the time of my visit. For the most part though, my visit was enjoyable and definitely nice to find a wine shop near by my hotel on N State Street within walking distance. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are interested in grabbing a bottle of wine or two for dinner or a special event. The staff here can also recommend various wines for food pairings and other events and things. It's quite interesting how much wine is out there after talking to the staff here. Since it was just me in the wine shop that Friday evening, there wasn't much to experience, other than looking at various brands of wine. I ended up getting the room temperature wine since it was cheaper. There was wine in the refrigerators in the back, but they cost a little bit more because it was already in the refrigerators. And so, if you're needing a wine or anything or for any event occasion in your life, consider coming to Fondren Cellars in Jackson, Mississippi. Fondren Cellars is a boutique wine shop in the Fondren district of Jackson, Mississippi. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. They are located near the Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel. It's physically located at 633 Duling Avenue in a small commercial area. As far as parking goes, they have quite a bit of parking area to park in. For those who love to take the public transportation, I'm sure that Jackson area public transportation has the route that is comparable to your travel plans. Make sure that you find the one that works for you And compare when you feel like you need to buy wine for yourself or for any events that you are planning if you're like me, because there are always taking Uber or anything taking a car for their vacations. I basically use Uber because it was very compatible with my transportation needs. I walked here and walked back to my hotel with the unopened bottle of wine. I'm glad it wasn't raining that day. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+
