A women came over to "count" and make sure the cashier was ringing our airplane bottles and the person she put off to the side was to wait to return his Don Julio. So we get home i look at my receipt to send to the other moms and see a bottle of Don Julio charges to me...... i called she goes mam I'm sorry comeback and get your money back she "thought" she counted the bottles correctly. We go back and the women is also taking another transaction and staples my receipt to their bill.... And says yes we don't see a transaction for you little do they know i sent to my husband a screen shot and picture of our receipt so we have a copy.

Like when i need to get a food order in at Pathmark which it shares real estate with. They are more expensive than competitors. No one there ever helps you. They are all usually in the back room or don't take the time from stocking to ring out customers When they do help you they are curt. And never a thank you for your business. Just change handed to you without even a glance your way. Worst offense: They NEVER ask a woman if she needs help carrying cases to the car. And if you ask you get a 'tude. Last visit i had 5 cases and no help. Today i purchased a light case until i can get to the better beverage center in Woodlyn that appreciates my business

Heck, even Virginia is generations ahead of the arcane liquor laws in Penn's Commonwealth... Let's see.... You can't buy wine or beer in grocery stores (that would be too convenient, wouldn't it). If you want to buy beer by the case, you have to go to a certain type of store. If you want to buy beer by the six-pack, you have to go to another type of store. If you want to buy wine, you have to go to yet another store. Gross. The entire liquor laws in the Commonwealth would have made the ancient Romans flinch with horror.... Still, once you get used to living with the irritation (which means driving to Delaware as much as possible), there are state outlets where even upscale wines are sold. One of them is the Super Warehouse in Brookhaven. They even have specials on many different types of wines, and they even had shipments of Beaujolais Nuveau, which I found almost unbelievable. The store is well laid-out, with separate sections for different varieties and countries of origin, and they host special prices on many different types of wines, in this case an outstanding Chilean selection. If you have to live in the Middle Ages, this makes it bearable....

There is a cold wall fridge in the back with tons of cases and one in the front in case you need just one. The lady that worked there was very friendly and helpful and helped me find exactly what I was looking for . I'll definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I picked out some Pennsylvania beers that we will serve at our wedding then we went to 3 distributors in South Philly to compare prices: Bella Vista, Springfield (recently moved to 22nd & Washington!) and Moore Beverage. (Haven't made it to Federal yet. But their layout is cramped enough that I don't really want to look around...) How's this for numbers? Victory Prima pils was $38.50 at Bella Vista, $37 at Springfield, $34 at Moore. Yards Philly pale ale was $35 at Bella Vista, $34 at Springfield, $30 at Moore. Troegs Perpetual IPA was $45 at Bella Vista, $40 at Springfield, $36 at Moore. Stoudts Gold lager was $36 at Bella Vista, $37 at Springfield, $32 at Moore. Yuengling Premium 12 oz. cans was $17 at Bella Vista, $19 at Springfield, $14 at Moore. In EVERY case (pun intended) you save by buying at Moore. The average savings versus these two other distributers was $4.65 PER CASE. You save at least $3 per case, up to $9 versus buying Troegs IPA at Bella Vista. That's a savings of 10-20%. Pretty significant. I even saw a case of Founders All Day IPA for only $35. Great stuff. Not only that, Long, the manager, who is usually working the counter was really pleasant and helpful with us. When we mentioned we were buying a bunch of beer for the wedding soon she wasn't pushy and encouraged us to shop around at various distributors (possible because she knows her prices are really good?). She also said she could get anything we wanted if we ordered through her a week in advance and that she would give us a dollar off per case if we bought ten or more cases. Pretty sweet, right? Later on she was able to communicate with me by e-mail to complete our order. Springfield is still HUGE at their new location and they have a superior selection. Bella Vista is much nicer inside than any of these other places and has a really good craft selection. Federal could be as cheap as Moore from what I've heard but it has a narrow cramped layout. Moore's craft beer selection has vastly improved over the last 5 years and they have an open floor plan. But, their prices dominate these other South Philly locations. For that alone they may be my new go-to beer distributor.

A friend and I visited this store to purchase a bottle of tequila around 8:50 PM yesterday…read more(Wednesday April 4, 2023). We walked directly to the aisle where the tequila is located, as we are both quite familiar with the store layout, and then approached the register to pay. I was walking in front, and my friend (a Black male) was a few steps behind me with the bottle of tequila in his hand. As we neared the register, your employee Kareem R. walked out from behind the registers and onto the sales floor. He looked at my friend while yelling, "You tried to put a bottle in your pants," and then looked at me to complete his accusation, "...and you tried to block him!" My friend and I were entirely dumbfounded, staring at this employee in utter shock and confusion. I looked back at my friend, and the bottle of tequila we had picked out was indeed in his hand, as it had been the entire time. The few other customers in the store were staring at us, as Mr. Kareem R. had made his accusation quite loudly. The other employees and security staff looked on without comment. Mr. Kareem R. went on to demand that we place the bottle on the counter and leave the store, refusing to allow us to make a purchase despite the fact that we had done absolutely nothing wrong. If you are doubtful of this claim, I urge you to review the security footage from the time of our visit. I photographed Mr. Kareem R., who moved to hide his nametag from view; however, my friend had already taken mental note of his name. My friend and I were both extremely uncomfortable during and following this incident. I live in the neighborhood and typically visit this store about twice a week, but am now uncertain if I will feel safe entering the space going forward. I most certainly will not subject my friend to the experience again.
