Only reason I don't give 5 stars is fishing from the bank is not the best. There is only one pier…read moreto fish off of and the water is full of vegetation that will snag you up. The camp hostess is great! The campground is very nice. I was surprised that you can have fires here. I will camp here again very soon

This man was especially rude to me and my friend. My friend and I were biking with a cart of branches for a small fire, when this man noticed me and called me out. He came over and said that we couldn't bring branches to our campsite. I agreed and started biking back to put the wood back. I heard the man calling his girlfriend/wife on speaker, saying loudly and obnoxiously "Hey babe, guess what I saw. I saw 2 kids stealing wood. Call a park ranger out here." He then proceeded to drive in his red truck and follow me and my friend. He called another camp host and watched me and my friend remove every piece of wood/branch from the cart. The other camp host was wayyy less hostile(nicer) and simply told us not to collect branches. The old man came out of his red truck and said quote on quote "If I ever see y'all collecting wood again, I'll make sure you never come back to this campsite. I will have both of you banned from here." He gave us a piece of paper and circled 20 times "prohibited from collecting dead wood" when it was just a few small branches. Honestly and respectfully, don't be talking obnoxiously out loud how we are "stealing wood". Mind you it was a few small branches to start a fire. He is horrific. Please fire this man he does not deserve to work here. He threatened us not to come again.

What was once a worthwhile club appears to be in clear decline. From my direct experience, the…read morewarning signs are hard to ignore: management turnover, frustrated employees, and ownership that no longer seems willing to invest in the club's future. Prospective buyers should look closely before committing. The fleet is now made up of aging boats, roughly 4-6 years old, and the wear is evident. Inventory has reportedly been reduced from 9 boats to 5, including only 2 surf boats, while pricing remains unchanged. At the same time, members are being asked to move to an "unlimited bookings" model that still limits usage to no more than 3 bookings per month!!! Last season alone, boats experienced issues ranging from failed ballast pumps and broken amps to damaged railings and inconsistent availability. Yet despite reduced inventory, aging equipment, and declining service levels, ownership appears intent on maintaining the same pricing without meaningful reinvestment. Anyone considering joining should do their homework, verify the facts independently, and speak with former members. Membership has reportedly fallen from 42 to 17 and continues to trend downward. That kind of decline does not happen without reason.

Instructions were provided concisely in an easy to understand format for new drivers. We rented a Chaparral for 4 hours on Labor Day and it couldn't have gone smoother. The boat was in excellent condition and everyone had a great time. Gas came out to about $57, keeping in mind we had 5 adults, lots of food, and towed a tube during our rental period. Definitely recommend Berryessa Water Sports and will see them again soon!
