This park is a cubic zirconia in the rough. REAL rough. It has good potential: a ball diamond,…read moretennis court, restrooms, drinking fountain, a small playground, and a community garden in the back. The C&C parks people maintain it fairly well, keeping the grass trimmed and trash emptied and such. Unfortunately, some park users (and I literally mean USERS) ruin it for everyone else. There are homeless sleeping on the play equipment, druggies hanging out around the restrooms, used condoms by the side of the parking lot. It's ghetto. And sad. In order to return this park to the community, it will probably take a coalition of neighbors working with the HPD to clean up the TRASH. Hope it happens sooner rather than later.

( He's been very needy and jealous lately since my son was born a few months ago). After being here once, I want to make it a regular thing. It was so awesome to see our dog being able to socialize with other dogs and have so much fun. Thre park is fairly big, very well taken care of, and even has a doggy water fountain for our fur babies. The one annoying thing is the flies! But what really can be done about that? I know there is a fern that will keep flies away. Maybe if there was some we could plant around the doggy park, it might help? Especially around the benches where the humans sit to wait... All in all, a really great place for our fur babies, and I look forward to returning again and again.

Also if you live off base and drive on with your pup keep in mind Hawaii has supposedly added a law which requires your pet to be in a seat belt while in a vehicle (per the gate guards information). He said they don't enforce it yet but to keep it in mind for the future.

This beautiful dog park is a few blocks from my childhood home in Kailua, HI and I love going here…read morewhen I visit. I've never ever known a dog park with more beautiful views. Even other dogs parks in Hawaii don't compete. Enchanted Lake Kailua is just so beautiful and the neighbors are so kind. Btw, this is accessed via the same driveway for Enchanted Lake Elementary School, where I went from Kindergarten to 6th grade and is a really wonderful school. The small recreational building at the park offers great classes for children too.

Toasted Buns... Not…read moreone of the glorious spot to grab a parking spot to veg out in the sun is this spot on Kalama Beach Park but with some patience it's absolutely worth the wait. Kailua beaches are just so beautiful and this one doesn't quite show it's glory until you walk the short path...tadaaaaahhhh! Yes there is a path which most are paved until you get to the bathroom/shower area then it's all sand and which I think is a great spot to just walk and take in the view. Wide open beach with views as long as your eyes can see it's all beautiful and something that you just need to experience for yourself, I wasn't dressed properly as this was just a random visit though since I was in the area I just though to give it a try and am so glad I did, very quite and peaceful place to relax and enjoy what we here in Hawai'i are so blessed to have. There were two teams playing at a time so parking was not a challenge. Yelp directions won't bring you directly to the field or parking so just exit, go right and find your way to the accurate spot. Luckily I didn't need to use the restroom but those spectators who needed had to walk far as no restrooms set up like Salt Lake District Park.
