You have to constantly contact the office to have maintenance come fix 1 little issue. I have contacted them over 6 times and still can not get someone to come fix my garbage disposal for months now. My apartment was broken in to & I requested a door chain be put on my door for safety - NO RESPONSE! I have to contact them 3-4 times to get my toilet to work. Spend your money to live somewhere that cares about their tenants & fixes the issues they're having. read more

Windsweep apartments are one of the best places that I have ever lived in. My family and I have rented from them for years. Everything is great from the apartments to the amenities. The owners are the sweetest people I have ever meant. The office manager Erica is the best of the best. She is always on top of everything and truly cares about her tenants and the whole facility. I have lived here at Windsweep for 3 years. As a matter of fact I have lived in a lot of apartments in my life. I saw the old post on here from 2011. I really enjoy living here. Erica, the manager is very helpful. My neighbors on both sides of me are older couples, they have also lived her for several years. WARNING! Windsweep Apartments is not a good place to live! I was a previous tenant at Windsweep apt 224. I just wanted to let everyone know about how the apartment are runned and my experience there. I was only a tenant for about 3 months and we had to pay and put in our notice to get out due to the office manager, Erica, and the horrible tenant that lived above us. Let me start by saying before we signed any paperwork I made sure to tell Erica that I work from home. Nothing was said about the train right outside our window or the 5 occupants, 3 being large kids, who lived in the unit above us banging, slamming, constanlty 5-6 days a week till 12 or later at night. My husband called the cops four times and only the last one came in the unit and heard the noise but said there was nothing he could do. The courtesy office, after the first time, was never available and only came twice over the three months of repeated calls. He came once and heard all the noise and said he would tell Erica and then the next day she stated he only heard walking. I tried to get Erica to the apartment but she never came. After much frustration one night of the circus upstairs and the cops said the tenant would not answering the door, my husband banged on the ceiling and Ms. Britton came down and wanted to know what was wrong. After he told her that there was way to much dropping and banging on the floor she said that was her toddler falling on the floor learning to walk. He explained that a toddler does not make that kind of noise and Mrs. Britton continued to talk over him so I intervened and she left. The next morning we received an email requesting that we pay $500 to change apartments or move out with no penalty. That we could not be causing a scene and calling the cops due to minum noise . Also, that Mrs. Britton had never had a complaint since she has been there and said that I was causing a scene which is not the truth. I called Erica out on the lies on the email and told her I did not appreciate how she went about this. Very unprofessional. She did not even hear our side, which Erica said she would come by and hear the noise, which never happened. During the three months we were there we never had a visit from the bug man which when we called her to tell her about bugs Erica accused us of bringing them with us. We were the only one who sprayed the apartment up until we continued to complain so she sent over one of the residents who worked for an exterminator company and all he did was complain the whole time that he did not work for you apartments and told the manager, Ericw, that when he moved in. All he did was bait to try and kill the bugs. Erica then claimed that the bug lady came by to spray and we had the door blocked which was a lie. I was home and over the loud banging, I did not hear anyone at the door. Plus I work nights so I was asleep. Erica was told this multiple times. I told her the deadbolt was locked & the bottom part was unlocked so they did not even have the courtesy lock the door back. She said that the bug lady unhooked the deadbolt to try and come in which again is a lie as you can not lock or unlock the deadbolt from the outside. When we first moved in the Ice maker did not work until the last three weeks we lived there. After contacting Erica several times and the maintenance man came several times, my husband had to finally tell them that the icemaker did not have to be the same brand name as the fridge that they are all universal. So the noise continued getting worse and we told Erica that we wanted to move out without being penalized as agreed and she said that was fine but then about three weeks before we were to move out, we sent an email asking about when we would get the deposit back and she said we would not get it back. I told her she said we were told we could move without penalty but still refused to give the deposit. We sent several emails asking for the owners phone number & she refused to give it several times as it was up to her and the other manager. We were not satisfied with that & asked several more times for owners info. was refused. We contacted the BBB and filed a grievance as well. Lies were sent back to the BBB from Erica. We still did not receive our deposit. Erica may have worked for Windsweep several years but has let the units become trash. I feel she is running off good tenants by lies as she is able to run the units as she pleases. My husband had a friend who went to Auburn who lived there about a year after they were open and said they were nice yet moved in about two years ago to see it turned upside down. If we would have been told about the train and the circus upstairs we would have never moved in. Roaches too! Plus there was an orange stain on the carpet all around the walls of the full apartment & we had to ask for it all to be replaced. We had to clean before we moved in, it was nasty! I currently still live here and it is horrible. The first week living here. Me and my kids were at the pool and there was 4 guys smoking pot in front of everybody the gym equipment is broke and they us to advertise that the tanning bed was opened 24/7 but wasn't but now they changed it since I mentioned it to them but there's a lot of bulbs blown in the tanning beds and the door is locked 24/7. The manager and owners are buttholes. The manager (Erica) acts like she is nice to move you in but she is physco and a pathological liar. Me and my kids are getting evicted because me and my husband mention to them about the drug dealing that we see with our own eyes and we were just being concerned parents invade a drug deal gone wrong and my innocent kids get shot so they pit a 10 day vacate notice on my door but its really weird that the owners hang out up at the office every day when they own several different properties . I wouldn't recommend these Apts to a stray dog I can go on and on about theses folks. Erica the manager opened a girls package that her mom sent her. Theowners kicked out a couple that did work for them because he went out of town where his mom and sister died in a car accident and the owner called them and said if you dont come back to work you are gonna have to get out. They fired the old manager Elizabeth when Erica was working the weekends she lied on Elizabeth and got her fired cause she wanted her job and she was pregnant but I never got to meet her but everyone here loved her. So please stay far far away from here its not worth going through a lot of heart ache with these folks. They are crazy!! read more

I currently live here at the apartments. I'm moving out in a couple weeks. These apartments seemed really nice at first. Over time, they have really gone downhill in my opinion. The park isn't safe for the kids and they yell at the kids to be careful on them, when really it's their responsibility to upkeep it and keep it safe for the kids. The dog parks NEVER have bags in them, even though I'm paying pet rent of $15/mo to keep things stocked. Maintenance reported me and charged me $25 for "not cleaning up after my pet" when I have NEVER left my dog's poop in the dog park, with no proof (trust me, I'm challenging it! ). My dog has gotten fleas from the dog park and I've heard that the other dog park has given dogs worms. There is constantly poop left all over the premesis. On to the inside, the apartment was disgusting when I moved in. The carpets were stained and old. It smelled really bad of smoke and they had to do a 24 hour air treatment, which they should have done before I moved in. There are holes in the lamanent flooring in the kitchen. The dishwasher doesn't dry the dishes all the way and the fire alarms go off every time we take a shower... even with the vent on. They are rude about keeping things looking nice when they don't upkeep the public parts at all! They also niglected to say that these are right along train tracks that their privacy fences block sight of.. clever. Get this, when my lease was up, i wasnt allowed to move out. You have to give 60 days notice to move out when your lease is up, so make sure to put in a 60 day notice 60 days before your lease is up. The mailman here stopped bringing my mail because i didn't pick up my mail in a week. I had to call the post office and they said they had no record of any stop of mail and it was still being sent, yet my mail kept getting returned to everyone who sent it. I had to personally approach the mailman who told me he figured i had moved so he had been returning all my mail. Sorry, but last i knew, you had to put requests in through the post office. I absolutely do NOT recommend these apartments. Also, the walmart that's blocks away had a shooting on black Friday. read more
