Their prior email stated that "no action is needed unless you are contacted directly" and advised leaving extra space near snowbanks "when possible," which I followed. I received a call at 11:30 AM threatening immediate towing from my paid, assigned parking space and stating that I would have to bear the towing cost if the vehicle was not moved. I returned the call at 11:43 AM and 11:49 AM, explaining I could not leave work immediately and would move the vehicle during my lunch break at 12:15 PM. Management responded that if the vehicle was not moved by 12:15 PM, it would be towed, showing a failure to account for realistic travel time and work schedules. It appears that if I had missed their call, towing would have been enforced immediately, despite following prior guidance. Snow removal itself is reasonable. My issue is with management's poor planning, arbitrary enforcement, and lack of practical consideration, expecting tenants to rearrange work obligations on short notice for paid parking. Clear, consistent procedures and reasonable communication are needed to prevent unnecessary stress and disruption.

AGRESSIVE DOGS WELCOME HERE!!!!…read more Do you have an agressive dog or do you like to not have to pick up after your dog? This is the place for you!! Parents of young children or responsible pet owners be ware, you won't be able to play in the grass due to the amount of dog feces. If you are immunocompromised, live anywhere but here, black mold grows in the bathrooms and management will try and gaslight you into thinking it's hard water. A simple call to the water department will prove otherwise. 3 months into my tenancy I had to move to new unit due to the sheer amount of mold that was present, however nothing was done until I bought mold tests to prove it. I've picked up dozens of piles of poop, no less that 5ft from my patio. I've had a dog try and attack my dog through the patio railing multiple times, to the point of leaving bite marks in the railing and nothing is ever done despite reporting to management multiple times. After speaking to MULTIPLE neighbors, this is an issue many residents here face. the dog park is borderline unusable due to the fact that it is straight dirt, no mulch, it's not picked up and in the winter it's pure ice with no attempt to even salt the walk way to the dog park. While the move in specials may seem nice, it's an attempt to lure unsuspecting people into a failing apartment. There are leaks in the hallways that will not be addressed, the "security" system entry box that has a camera, management has no access to and some of them don't even work and haven't worked for months. It's nice at face value, but there is a reason they have to entice people to move here via move in specials.

I have been a resident at the 600 apartments since late February and my experience has been anything but pleasant. The property manager may seem nice at first but it's a facade. Upon moving into the apartment, we were assured the patio would be cleaned and repaired by the end of the week. The end of the week turned into once the weather gets nice, then it turned into may, it is now July and the patio has remained untouched. During the snow storms, it was literally impossible to leave the apartment because the way they plow the complex the cars in parking spaces gets blocked in. I literally had to ask a maintenance man just sitting in a cart for a shovel to get my car unstuck. Instead of offering to help a mother and her two young children, he watched me shovel out my car. Once I realized this was going to be an issue, I called the office to inquire about covered parking. It took 2 weeks to get in touch with anyone, but I finally reached the property manager and found out they don't even keep track of the covered parking ( which you have to pay for). I experienced my first major issue with the apartment on day one. The shower was improperly caulked and therefore had a leak whenever used. It took over a week for the issue to be fixed. The property manager lied and said the maintenance man who was supposed to fix the shower came down with the flu, however the maintenance man said he simply forgot. About a month in I experienced my second major issue. The master bedroom shower would not turn off. When I say would not turn off, I don't mean a little leak, the shower was on completely and would not turn off no matter how you twisted the handle. I called emergency maintenance, but apparently that was not a maintenance emergency. The next morning once maintenance finally arrived my entire bathroom was disgusting and full of condensation. The property manager then tried to bribe us by offering my us a free meal at any restaurant of our choice. Once we tried to redeem this generous offer she told us it's her personal credit card and we would have to get delivery. With that being said we were not comfortable using her personal finances. The most recent issue I have experienced was a dead mouse in my wall. I was unable to go into my basement for 3 days due to the stench and flies. Instead of apologizing for the issue I am now being treated unfairly and to be quite frank I no longer feel comfortable living here. The property manager is not only being disrespectful, but down right nasty towards me. She has made slanderous false accusations about me, lied to me, and god only knows what else is yet to come. You would think that paying rent on time or being United States veteran would be enough to earn the respect of this woman, however, that is not the case.

I loved it when I…read moremoved in, and two months later a new property management company, Bozzuto, bought the property. They came and all the problems started. No one EVER answers the phone when you call the front office. And when you do finally get ahold of someone, you're greeted by the most monotone, rude, apathetic employees who never transfer the messages to the right place and could not care less about connecting with their residents. They nickel and dime you for everything - every time I looked at the statement for my rent there was always a strange added fee that I had to question. There is no security in the complex. There are no cameras, alarms or keys to get into the buildings - only to get into the actual apartment, so anyone can walk in. Which someone did. Someone who wasn't a resident came in and pulled the fire alarm at 11:45pm on a Sunday. They also do not have the garbage/recycling picked up frequently enough. Every single week it overflows onto the ground so the bugs and smells are awful. And if the recycling overflows, they just throw it in the garbage, which I've witnessed. What's the point of recycling? Also, they do not take customer complaints seriously. I complained numerous times about the noise, as well as being hit on by their construction crew, and no one did a thing. They were extremely unclear about outside maintenance schedules, I was not informed for months even after I asked to be since it took place right outside of my apartment and distracted me from work. At the start of COVID, they sent out an email stating "We recognize that you are working from home, but we are doing maintenance around the complex so we recommend scheduling your meetings outside of 8-5". Are you for real? My fireplace didn't work for NINE MONTHS. Maintenance was aware. It took them 9 months to fix. Which is absolutely ridiculous. And I followed up on almost a weekly basis. Our AC also broke 3 times over the summer and it wasn't considered an "emergency" cause it was only 84 degrees in my apartment. One of the most obnoxious things was that they still required their residents to pay the monthly $30 amenity fee during COVID-19, even when ALL of the amenities were closed and unavailable. And then as soon as residents were allowed to use them again, they shut the pool down for 2 weeks for maintenance. Why couldn't they have done it during COVID? Who knows. Also, a lot of residents that live there are college students and do not abide by the quiet hours policy. I lived on the second floor, and my upstairs neighbors threw parties and were playing music SO loudly all hours of the night. Even after calling the cops, and complaining to management numerous times, they still did nothing. Bottom line, not worth the aggravation of living here. It's so pricey for crappiness of the management company and the prices just keep rising with this new management company. So happy to have left when I did.

Like other renters, they tried to swindle me out of my security deposit and also were completely unhelpful in cooperating with my move such as notifying utility transfers and returning my requests for mover dates. When I would try to contact the leasing office about inquiries, follow ups or complaints, they were no where to be found. Only payment inquiries were handled in an acceptably professional manner. In all one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in my life, especially when considering this is a "luxury" apartment home. Good riddance!

I experienced a home invasion, and on a separate occasion all four wheels were stolen from my vehicle while parked on the property. The parking lots are poorly lit at night, and overall security is clearly inadequate. The property itself is poorly maintained. There is dog waste and garbage throughout the grounds, and management does not address it unless a complaint is filed with the Health Department. Rent is extremely high and increases every year, yet basic amenities are unreliable. The treadmill and gym television are frequently out of service. During winter, snow and ice are not cleared or salted in a timely manner, creating unsafe conditions. Parking enforcement is inconsistent and unfair. The contracted tow company does not respond when vehicles block residents or park illegally, yet my car was towed within hours of a registration expiration (violating CT law on nonconsensual towing) Additionally, residents are required to pay rent electronically, which includes a $10 service fee, a practice that is illegal. (Public Act No. 13-35) Management is rarely available in the office, slow to respond to concerns, and often dismissive or rude when residents seek help. Overall, management appears more focused on maximizing profit than maintaining a safe, clean, and livable environment for tenants. Nothing about this property justifies the price, the risk, or the treatment of tenants. Edit to add: don't believe anything said in the response by Mallory Ridge as they consistently lie on the internet.

Tenants are being given the option to either vacate in 4 weeks, or to sign a lease with a $150 per month increase. Also, pet fees have been imposed and storage fees are about to be imposed. This, we are being told, is to bring the rent "up to market value". I say, Market value compared to what? Axela Management raves about the improvements that are coming, how wonderful it will be here when they are done. It's going to be "luxury living" here! But what about in the meantime? In the meantime, this place is about to be turned into a construction site and will be that for a year. And tenants who are forced to stay because they have no place to move to on such short notice will be living on that construction site, while paying for "luxury living". It is unconscionable to raise the rent here this much on tenants that can't afford it and also while so many repairs still need to be done, apart from the renovations. We are living here now and are paying for now. Pay for storage? What a joke. There's barely even any lighting down there. Other problems include the cracked tennis courts, the poorly maintained pool, broken locks on the access doors from the outside, meaning anyone can get in / no security, and one of the buildings has a wonky elevator. Axela says all will be fixed with the renovation. Well! Then start charging for it all AFTER the renovation is over. Working people, families, and seniors on a fixed income live here. In my opinion, the right thing, (as well as the legal thing?), for the new owners to do would be to keep the rent where it was until the renovations are done and also to give the tenants here enough time to move out. I am sad to say that I myself am now looking for a new place to live. Sad because this was once a very nice place. But now, even if I could afford to stay for the coming "luxury living", I don't think I would. What kind of landlords will these new owners be, based on what they've done so far? I don't trust them. They clearly don't care about people. It was bad enough when Figure 8 Properties was running this place. While it was up for sale, they obviously wanted to put no further money into it. Case In Point, the elevator in one of the buildings was down constantly for months, from about March to this mid-summer, until a third-floor tenant who needs a wheelchair finally called Channel 61 News and the local Fire Marshal. And we all thought that was bad. Little did we know what was coming.

It was clear the ants were infested throughout the building and this was a frequent problem dealt with at Aspen Green. For a $3,000 apartment I should not have frequent ant infestations. There are no cameras at Aspen green, and car break ins and thefts were becoming popular when I moved out. Seema Fnu and other staff did nothing in response to car break ins and thefts other than sending generic emails to every resident about locking their cars. In a supposedly family safe community this seems very dangerous. Frequently children were yelled at by the property staff to stop playing outside and to stop skating on the pavement in the complex. This was also sent in multiple generic emails to all residents. This seemed extremely counterproductive to their supposed "family friendly" facade. The actual apartment was filthy. My vents were not cleaned prior to move in and my entire apartment on move out was covered in black dust. I became very sick from inhaling dirty air and mold from living in this apartment complex. There was dry rot in the apartment, water damage along windows and also dry rot and significant water damage in building 4's mail room which made it clear the entire complex is not maintained despite only being built a few years ago. Again, this apartment is not a luxury apartment by any means. The actual walls were so thin I could hear my neighbors snore, sneeze, cough, and talk almost always. Despite boasting about a strict noise complaint policy, the property manager, Seema Fnu refused to follow her own noise complaint policy after I was unable to stay in my apartment due to extreme noise. My upstairs neighbors seemed to have parties until 2am consistently despite quiet hours. After I had called the police for the first complaint, I reached out to Seema for help and support; in addition to the other property staff and a corporate staff member named Jaime who was also extremely disrespectful, invalidating, and rude after expressing concerns for my safety and the safety of the other residents. The noise from my above neighbors became extremely aggressive, and after attempting to seek out support and help from Seema, Jaime, and the other property staff, I was told that they did not believe me and I was not suited to live in an apartment. As someone who has lived in multiple rental homes and apartments before with no issue, this was a very rude and unnecessary statement to make. Seema Fnu also said that if it was that big of an issue that I had, I should call the police again because it was my responsibility to handle the safety of the apartment and it was not theirs. As a single woman living alone who had just heard on the news of three women being murdered in their apartments, I felt like I could no longer live in Aspen Green. This was no longer a safe space, and it was quite clear the entire property staff did not care about any of their residents safety or well-being. I was extremely gaslit and invalidated in my distress, this coupled with the continued aggressive noise forced me to end my lease 6 months early due to my apartment no longer being livable. Instead of being respectful at the very least, I was treated with animosity and anger from a person that does not know me personally in the slightest and should have at least handled the issue professionally. Seema Fnu withheld my security deposit beyond the 30 days since the day I gave her back the keys which was illegal because I had broken my lease, which had annulled the original lease I had signed. After supposedly agreeing on a settlement for moving out early, she overcharged me on purpose hoping I would not check my bank account and after calling her multiple times and a brutal conversation where I was spoken over repeatedly, she reimbursed her over charge. This place is a scam. Do not live here.
