The windows came in quicker than expected and the install was very smooth. The communication from everyone at Windows Plus was wonderful, I never had to call and ask for an update or wonder when they were coming. The team completed the install of all 18 windows in less than two days. I had very old original windows and the team worked carefully to be sure the new windows were installed correctly. I will start with the exceptional workmanship/craftsmanship from the installation crews. We had a sun room put on the back of the house. We got quotes from a few places and all quotes were comparable in price. We decided to go with Windows Plus I suppose because we liked Todd, the sales person, also we were impressed with the quality of the windows and that the room was going to be framed instead of a patio enclosure. And we could not be more pleased with the outcome. I know another reviewer stated that it was all done right the first time, that is how we felt about the room edition. My husband is very particular and ALWAYS has a punch list. But not this time. Literally all windows, framing, caulking, installation was perfect (with the exception of a small defect in one of the screens). We have talked to our salesperson, Todd regarding this matter and he will come to take pictures of the room and said they will take care of that, which I don't doubt they will. They had to put a roof onto the back of our house. That was the first part of the project and that happened in early November of 2020. The roofing crew, leg by Daniel put the roof on/ framed the room and poured concrete footers for the windows in 4 days. They were meticulous, cleaned up each day, were polite, answered all our questions and accommodated our needs as they worked. They had to attach the new roof to an existing patio roof as well as the back of the house. Within a couple of weeks the old section of the roof began to leak, we believe due to them walking/working in that area to add the new roof. We called to discuss this with Todd and within a few days the roofers were back and repaired the leak in the old roof. So even though it was a mishap they made it right, right away. At this point they were able to measure for the custom made windows/doors. Once the windows came in they started installation on January 26, 2021. This crew, Brandon, Josh and Matt were as meticulous as the roofer/framers. Again, they could not have been more polite, knowledgeable and professional. They 3 of them worked 3 (10+ hour days) to complete the work. As mentioned above there was no punch list. Everything was done to perfection the first time around. Reason for 4 star and not 5 star review deals with company communication. Although all was done to our sanctification I had to call them to inquire about when the crews were coming. We had made arrangements with the Todd regarding the electrical package and had to get that worked out once electricians got here due to them having different information. The contract stated work would be completed in 12-16 weeks, which would have been by Dec. 19 and the work was actually finished on January 28, 2021. If the company would have called me to let me know they were behind, windows had not arrived, weather delayed work, Covid delayed work I would not have been as concerned but I had to keep calling to find out what was going on and to check on time frames. I do understand things happen but again if timelines had been communicated to me I would have been disappointed but would have understood and would have given a 5 star review. Well, they did have good work. They lied about coverage though. When I had them come out the sales rep specifically said they cover everything breakage wise that isn't "an act of god" (including glass breakage from kids etc) as those instances would be covered by homeowners insurance. I have had them out for several minor fixes that were caused by improper installation or faulty parts, but this week I called because I had a siding panel warp because of a grill fire and the lid got too close. That sounds like something they would cover as the construction is less than 2 years and I had no warnings. I was informed the labor would be covered but the 2x2 panel and 1 piece of trim would be $203. I now hate that I went with them and will never recommend them. read more

We had an estimate before Todd with Windows Plus came out. The Windows Plus estimate was less than the first estimate and we liked the windows better. After we placed our order, it took 4 weeks, for the windows to come in, and for them to be installed. We received a call, in the morning, saying they were on their way. And, they arrived soon after. They job was done very quickly, and everything was neat and clean, when they left. read more

Edit: My experience was still my experience (below), but after a conversation with the company's owner, I am elevating my rating a star because he made a much-appreciated effort to put things right with the situation. Windows Plus might be amazing at installing windows, but I had a difficult time even getting a quote. After another company botched the install of 5 basement windows, I was looking for quotes on a solid fix. The reviews here were as good as the BBB score, so I set up an appointment for Windows Plus to come by, evaluate and give me a quote for the work. An hour and a half before they were supposed to arrive, I got a call asking if "all decision makers" would be at the evaluation. No, they would not. First, if that is your policy, then say it up front when I'm making the initial appointment and I'll deal with it then, not 90 minutes before you're scheduled to arrive. But more importantly, I fully trust my wife to understand and evaluate the options you have to show when I didn't have an opportunity to take off work in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. I don't know if it was a hard sell tactic, a don't-pitch-the-b strategy or something else, but my response was clearly unacceptable because it was explained to me that the knowledge to be given to us about these particular windows might be misinterpreted in a second telling. He wouldn't let it go, so I acquiesced to moving the appointment to Friday when both decision makers could be there for the anticipated "60-90 minute" visit. Seems long, but fine. Thursday night at 8:30 I got a text asking if we can move the appointment forward in the day. Now, if I didn't have the day off, this would be a significant inconvenience, but it also demonstrated that my time was not seen as valuable. If I couldn't trust the salesperson to show up when he said he would, I didn't feel great about the execution of the actual work. So I cancelled the appointment altogether and decided to go with a someone who had met their commitments. read more

In the fall of 2018, we contracted with Todd Ovington, the owner of Windows Plus, to upgrade all of the windows in our 80-year-old home on Beals Branch Drive. This house was designed by Stratton Hammon, so the windows had to look just right and fit the house architecture. All of the work was done right the first time. There were no follow-ups necessary. Todd's installers removed the old windows and replaced most of the windows on the same day. We had several windows that were odd sizes and had to be custom built, and when installed, they fit perfectly the first time. They removed the old windows and installed the new ones from the outside. All of the voids were filled with expanding foam insulation. They only come inside to lay down a perfect caulk bead where the window meets the trim. All of the windows supplied by Windows Plus are, in my opinion, top quality. Also, their windows have a lifetime warranty. This was a 5-star experience from start to finish. Todd and all of his installers are personable and professional. They will keep the appointment time and finish the job. I will recommend Windows Plus to all of my friends. read more

Did not end up using Windows Plus for install so cannot comment on that aspect of their business. As far as their sales pitch and strategies, I would not recommend calling them. Upon the first visit I was optimistic about a lack of manipulative and pushy sales tactics as the salesmen accepted our request for time to think on the decision and left after his pitch. However, the very next day the company was calling us and hounding us to meet again and to make a decision. They called several times until my husband agreed. We were met with a different salesman who was incredibly condescending and refused to take no for an answer. I told him we had agreed with the previous one to get back with them and that is still where we stood. However, he proceeded to mock our decision making process and insinuated we were "weak" for not wanting to make a split second decision to take a loan out for windows. Once we finally got him to leave our house we blocked their number so they would not try hounding us again. Do not agree to meet with these people unless you want to waste 2-4 hours of your life having someone try to emotionally manipulate you into going into debt :) read more

Windows Plus went beyond my expectations with my recent replacement windows installation. Todd, the salesman was terrific with NO high pressure sales tactic like a previous company I called. He was very honest and informative and assured me I would be a satisfied customer. I am so very glad I went with Windows Plus!! There were no delays, on time when they said they were coming. Dallas and Aaron, the installers were friendly, knew what they were doing, answered all my questions and even gave me advice on how to install weatherstripping on my front door! They cleaned up everything and at the end of the day, Aaron put up my window blinds when I asked him. They were so neat I would not have known any work had been done except I was left with windows that are so much better than I imagined. My husband and I had a tub installed today. I deeply regret our decision to use this company's services. The actual tub is perfectly fine. All other aspects of our experiences throughout the process has been far below our expectations. From the misrepresentation of the dimensions of the final product, misrepresentation of installation timeline, multiple last minute reschedules, to unprofessional conduct of the installation team. They were late and unable to complete the one day install we were supposed to have because the technician's wife decided on a last minute trip. No communication beforehand so that I could adjust my schedule appropriately for my own clients. This cost me additional money and professional embarrassment. They decided when they would return the next day to finish and still could not arrive on time. I am left feeling so very foolish for overpaying for this product that came saddled with such disrespectful service. read more

We had 12 windows and 2 doors installed. The windows look great and are working great so far. One of the doors replaced is a double door where only one side opens. The old door was 36 inches. We were told the new door would be custom and we could get the replacement with an opening even bigger than 36 inches. In order to keep things centered, we opted to keep the 36 inch opening. We were very excited to get new windows and doors that would be energy efficient to replace our old wooden frame windows. And again, the windows are great. However, the back door we were given only had an opening of 34 inches. We were told that the 'Savanah' door was the only option they had and it only came in 34 inches. Additionally, the door isn't energy efficient. The room it is in heats up dramatically during the day. Sort of a waste to pay so much money and still have a room that over heats. The installers worked really hard to fit this much smaller door into the large opening. We expressed our concern that we were not getting what we asked for but the rep just kept repeating it was a Savanah door and that was the only option. There were no efforts to get us what we requested other than saying it would cost a whole lot more. I am very disappointed. I was assured I would be getting at least a 36 inch energy efficient door but I didn't. And there doesn't seem to be any effort on behalf of the rep to resolve or compensate me for the error. read more
