They have two laboratories, one devoted to flu related research and the other doing a variety of medical analysis jobs. A ridiculously beautiful building from an architectural standpoint given what its purpose is, but it all helps maintain the very calm atmosphere inside. They've run exactly to time on both my visits, though the waiting area is very comfortable if you find yourself needing it. I know it's a bit wasteful but I for one was relieved they had the heating cranked up to full blast in this weather! There also seem to be far too many people employed on the ground floor, standing near the entrance and ready to give you directions every few steps you take. Still I was relieved with my hassle-free experience, and I recommend taking the stairs instead of the lift if you can manage to see as much of the lovely building as poss!
