I'm putting this review out there as I have an upcoming appointment for measurements. I purchased blinds for my living room 10 months ago, and I can honestly say I was pleased with both service and installation. I did however notice a one of the slats was slightly curved almost warped. I pointed this out to the installer who suggested the blind would straighten once it settles. Hoping something will be done to correct the issue. read more

I purchased 4 sets of shutters and they are all on the same side of the house , one set is very tight opening and closing , I noticed on the bottom of one there is a stress crack so I called the owner and he came to inspect and said it's from water !! What ??? Water ?? I have beautiful canvas awnings over my windows and why just one set when all 4 sets are in the same side ? He said he will replace them for an additional $300 . BUYER BEWARE HE DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HUS PRODUCTS! read more

Nick, Bonnie, Nick JR and Mike provided great customer service. Nick came to our house for 2 shades, measured and helped us select the perfect color and light transparent product. Mike and Nick jr installed them a few weeks later. We had a manufactures defect and within 10 days Bonnie got us a replacement and on a Sat afternoon they replaced the shade. It was a 10 star experience ! Thank you for all you do. read more

We had a wonderful experience with the folks at Window Happenings. Nick was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, guiding us to the right products for our new home, and even matching some older blinds that were left behind. The blinds came in much sooner than expected and Mike and his helper got them put up quickly. They look perfect and we are very happy. I would never ever use Nick the owner of window happenings. We used them Before and don't really have a bad dealing with him. However I do think Nick is pompous and only wants big jobs. So he comes out and gives us a price on our house (new construction ) We asked Nick and all of the numerous people who gave us a prices on shutters etc. We decided to use window happenings for vertical slides, and NOT the rest of the house. His price was a bit higher than most. We signed the paperwork and gave him a deposit. Nick called the next day to re-measure. Nick changes the price by 600 becasue he said that was a discount for using him to do the entire house. We explained that in black and white it did not say that and he would be in breach of the contract. We decided to go with someone local who was a lot nicer and not a scammer and again pompous like Nick and window Happenings. I feel sorry for Bonnie who has to deal with all of this s#%t!! Don't use him! Unless you want to get burned! read more

We love our new blinds from Garden State Blinds! They look really nice and were a reasonable price…read morefor the quality. We did three sets of windows and also a slider for the patio door. For two of the windows, we did the faux wood slated blinds, which is style we were familiar with. For our bedroom window, we tried something new, which is the honeycomb cell shade that blocks light and that can be slid from the top down or the bottom up. This is a wonderful feature for the bedroom so that we get the privacy of the lower part of the window being covered, but we're able to let in light and look outside through the top part. Something that really made this company easy to work with is that all the people I interacted with were amazingly accommodating and helpful. Starting with Vito Conforti, the president, and then his son Andrew, who came to our house for the initial consultation and showed me all the different samples and help me pick colors and styles. All the people who answered the phone and did scheduling and answered my questions were polite and helpful and quick to respond. The installer Zach was an impressive young man who worked through a challenging install situation. We had just moved in and a lot of our furniture and boxes were blocking access to the windows and Zach very kindly moved things for me and even help me break down boxes for recycling and stack them up. That is going above and beyond what he came here to do and I really appreciated his help and good attitude. Additionally, they gave us a tin of Dutch shortbread cookies which are my favorite. It's so refreshing do business with an independent family owned company. Everyone here puts all their heart into what they do and this really sets them apart from chain and franchise businesses. If you want blinds for your windows, come here, and I guarantee you will be very happy that you did.

It is rare to find a business with this level of honesty and quality work. Highly recommend!read more

We had a very short electrical outage and the only problem that occurred was our shades were not working properly. We tried to correct the problem by unplugging the wires from the hub and outlet. When nothing happened , we knew we needed help. Nick patiently solved the problem and resynchronized the shades with Alexa. He also took the time to showed me how to get various scenes by using my Android phone. Fun!! We love the fact that we do not have to turn the plastic wand to open and close the blinds because we now have the motorized duette shades! The shades go down right before the sun shines into our front room...all automatically so if we are not home our carpet and furniture are protected from the sun's damaging rays. In the morning , I tell Alexa to open the shades and the day begins. Thank you Nick for your excellent customer service! read more

My experience with Window Happenings was five star. The windows were measured and then Bonnie helped with the selection. When the blinds came in Nick and his helper installed them and left the room clean and neat. All of my questions were answered. Originally I had called to repair a blind I already had in my home. Nick came out the same day and installed a new spring. I had those Hunter Douglas blinds for 8 yrs. Service is beyond what I had expected. read more
