I can say, I finally found the perfect company!!!! You have got to give these guys a chance... They are so professional and in 35 to 45 minutes popped out my fogged over glass and put new glass in very professionally! I know this is going to sound like the owner made this review... But my hand to God, this is my own personal review with NO incentives. Heather: she runs the front office and handles the appointments and payments and is so professional and friendly! First impressions are everything, right? Certainly, they are to me. A week and a half later, 2 employees for the company, Brian and Rusty, arrived... About a half an hour late but that's OK... I'm sure they stopped for breakfast :-) When they arrived, they were very professional and popped two frames in my sliding glass door and were in and out in 35 minutes! I'm writing this review right now because I don't think this company has been given any credit or is even heard of around here. All people talk about around here is C*****L and let me tell you, they've grown "too big for their britches". Example: The sales guys from C*****L that came out and took the measurements had a great personality and were very friendly. Afterwards they quoted me a very good price for labor and glass. I was thrilled. And then I get an email from the lady at their front desk who tells me, rather melodramatically, "We are sooooooo busy, I cannot schedule a date for you for at least three months, however, I need you to pay upfront with your credit card today." I said, "Well when will they come to replace the glass?" she said, "We are too busy to schedule a time but we will call you when we have an opportunity to come out. In the meantime you need to pay in full on your credit card now, oh, and btw, The new price is...($300.00 MORE than the estimate I was give)." !!!!! I said, how on EARTH is that possible?? She said well glass rates have gone up. I said in 48 hours?? And in her email she said yes ma'am. May I have your credit card number now please? PSSSHT! BYE! I just want everyone to know this because the C-word company has such a good reputation and I have no idea why. Maybe a lot of greased hand-shaking going on? 200% I recommend, "Palmetto Door Controls & Glass, LLC" Due to excellent customer service with the manager, "Heather", and a very fair and reasonable written price quote which included tax and labor, that of which they never attempted to change the price for any reason. Actually, much to my surprise when I made the payment, Heather gave me a discount! The glass installers, Brian & Rusty, were extremely professional and efficient. 5ALL THE WAY!!!! Especially after receiving terrible service or prices from any other company. Including me FINALLY choosing a handyman who set the glass on my tile floor and we watched in horror, as the glass spent 20 minutes crackling all the way from the bottom of the frame to the top. Every square inch of that glass was cracked after 20 minutes. Call Palmetto! I think they do many other jobs as well. You will NOT regret it.

After first contacting him figured I would also pick up a couple of ceiling fans and a few light fixtures. We agreed to a price and made and appointment. He kept in contact to get updates on my deliveries. I also discussed replacing my kitchen sink. Darrell first impressed me was as soon as he walked in he dropped down a towel and wrapped his feet. Everywhere he worked he made sure the surrounding areas were protected. He took a look at my sink and told me what it would take to install a new one. Instead of taking me into a lengthy project he explains it would work but be costly and asked was it worth the minimal benefit I would get out of it. When he finished I all had him hang to wall hangings in the stairway to the second floor, Did a great job on that also. He hauled everything away, my place was spotless when he left. The week previously I had new floors installed on the first floor and tile in the upstairs bathrooms. One of the toilets wasn't set right and leaked onto the bathroom floor. The installer sent back another crew and re-seated the toilet. A few days letter a started seeing a water streak develop on the ceiling. At that points I had no confidence in the flooring company and called The Helping Handyman. He fixed the problem and let me know what the problem was. I also had him re-seat the toiled in the other bathroom. He did a great job in very little time. The flooring company agreed to pay for fixing the ceiling. As the group I contracted to fix the ceiling took down all the fixtures they commented on how excellent the installation was on the ones The Helping Handyman and asked for Darrell's number. The Helping Handyman is top shelf and I would highly recommend him.

Tim told me 84 Lumber only does the initial installing and will not install any if over a year. I am not happy. I have to pay for shipping and handling and pay to have Someone to install. The staff is friendly and helpful. They found what I needed quickly and I was loaded up and on my way in no time. I will continue to get my major building supplies here.

We had Window World replace our windows. They cracked the siding in several places and left gaps…read morebetween the siding and windows. They refused to address the cracked siding, saying it was already damaged. There were a few small fissures, but they caused way more damage. One window had a cracked frame and leaked when it rained. They did come and replace it after several phone calls. We hired another contractor to repair the siding. In doing so, we discovered the horrible job Window World did installing and taping the windows. We had to pay an additional $600 to have the tape re-done properly and professionally by the siding company. Terrible workmanship.
