However, the Tesco store is also doing a promotion at the moment giving you 5p off every litre of petrol when you spend £50 on your shopping in-store, making it cheaper than anywhere else even if it's a couple of pence more to start with - so it's definitely worth filling up there if you shop at Tesco anyway. It doesn't have that many pumps so can get fairly crowded at busy times, but staff are very efficient and get the queue moving quickly. It's always busy and the Tesco roundabout leading into it is notoriously hard to negotiate, so maybe better to go in the quieter evening if you're not the best driver (i.e. me!). This station is open 24-hours - manned in the daytime, and with a pay-by-card unmanned facility at night. Good central location near town too, so very convenient.

Payment at the pumps makes it quicker to get your petrol, although the layout of the forecourt prevents anyone moving if the person in front is paying at the kiosk. The air and water hoses are also badly positioned, but are well used.

Also charcoal, fire wood and car accessories such as air fresheners, de-icer and oil. There's an Alliance and Leicester cashpoint machine on the wall outside and a jet style car wash. Efficient and friendly staff serve you with a smile. The only downside to it is that if you are heading towards Singleton when you leave the garage the road is really busy and can take quite a while to cross especially at peak times.

It is split across Northbound and Southbound, the Northbound is the larger of the two Here you will find TWO different Starbucks locations as well as a Little Waitrose and Partners, WHSmith, Subway and a Ramada Hotel in a separate building. The Southbound side is a little smaller but still has good facilities including a Starbucks, WHSmith and a Post box, with a large parking area and petrol station (very overpriced petrol) on both sides. On the bridge connecting the two, there is a KFC and Burger King - so plenty of choice across both services for fast food. The bridge is fairly modern, it has the benefit of being fully inside so you do not need to leave the service station and go back out again, do be advised that the Northbound side does NOT have an elevator, it has an upwards escalator, and a staircase. The southbound side however has an upwards escalator, and an elevator - It was a little odd how they only had escalators in one direction and an elevator/lift on one side, but at least I got my exercise for the day! I always visit service stations on Christmas Day for something to do, they always seem to have basic facilities here including at least Starbucks and one of their stores open, alongside the usual bathroom/shower facilities. Fairly clean and modern, nothing too exciting but well worth calling in as a stop-off point along your journey. 4*

You also find some people coming here leaving their car parked at the station which blocks the entrance of coming inside here. The worst thing about coming here is their petrol when you fill it up your tank does not go up all the way. People have said rumours that the petrol is mixed with water which they sell here these rumours have actually come true i think because the same thing happened to me petrol didnt last at all. Plus they got some poor prices for the petrol to.

I've given it 3 stars simply because the forecourt is a bit cramped and it's not an overly friendly place to visit, not unfriendly just pretty unsmiling really.
