This was my first time trying natural mineral water and I absolutely loved it! It was tasty and cool. I'm bummed that I don't live anywhere near Ojai because I definitely would make a daily trip to refill my water bottle if I could. Keep your eyes peeled as you drive by because it can be hard to miss! 587 S Rice Rd. will lead you right to the spout, the address listed on Yelp will lead you further down the road. Make sure to leave a donation if you're willing and able! There's a slot for cash on top of the spout thing.

    Well water!

Lovely life experience, and living waters! Wow what a cool little road side stop! I really wish to come back for the live music! They sell plants that are local so cal natives and have an honor box for donations, and for purchases of eggs, fruite too! The water is pretty good too, I prefer natural spring water, and this is from a well. But it's still happy water, and made me feel good inside...... They have a binder with pitures of the local plants they sell, and the properties and identifiers of the plants, and the local natives americans, the Cumash, medical uses at well! I was looking for this books information!

Donation only bring your water jug to fill up with local mineral water

There are not too many places in CA that I know that we can harvest spring water. Yes there's Belly Ache Spring which is amazing and you'll need to drive and hike a whole lot to get the jam but a while back Ojai community has put in this amazing pipe so city gal like me can just turn on the faucet and boom! Mineral water by donation is literally on the curbside of Rice Rd! Bring your 3 or 5 gal jug and fill it up, and remember to bring some change, donate to the good source of water:)

You'll see the windmill from the road - can't miss it!

I tried Windmill Mineral Water at Euterpe Farms and highly recommend visiting their roadside stand to get a unique local Ojai experience to fill your water bottles (by donation) with their wonderful mineral water. They also have eggs, fruit, and native California plants available for sale. A great activity to check out in Ojai and close to hiking, just 10 minutes away from the Arcade shopping area in town.

Ventura County has a few Landmarks. Two Trees, the San BuenaVentura Mission and the Ventura Pier to…read morename a few. One the most distinguished is the looming mountain range visible from all points north of the Grade, known as the Topa Topa Bluffs. The granite cliffs mark pronounced diagonal etches across the mountains face. Often when one thinks of going to the mountains, these are the mountains one had in mind. Usually when venturing into the Los Padres National Forest the highest Mecca available is Reyes Peak atop Pine Mountain road, and that is where we often end up. Indeed Reyes Peak is a sight to behold, and arguably one of the best campsites in the tri counties. But to truly reach "those mountains" the Topa Topa Bluffs, you have to do your homework. You cannot simply drive up the "33" and get there like you can with Reyes Peak. Access is available by permit only, through the Ojai Ranger station. The road to the bluffs is OHV access only; therefore a locked gate bars access from the general public. The ranger district only allows 15 vehicles up per day. Unbelievably, after roaming these mountains for decades, I had never been to the Bluffs. But a year ago, I did some research and found the way to get to the Bluffs. Once I had my permit, and access code, I headed into the forest. Arriving at the gate, I felt like a kid with a backstage pass to Disneyland. As I unlocked the gate, headed thru and locked from behind, I felt the puzzled stares from other less fortunate campers. They didn't have access! Huahhhh...Hauuhhhh! Only I did, I alone had domain over this sacred land! Sorry, back to reality. I engaged four wheel drive, and proceeded to tear up the road. There are miles and miles of off road travel to be enjoyed, steep ascents, and uneven road abound. Off the main road it splits to the left or right. To the right the road leads to a old fire watchtower. Convivebly you could camp here, but there is one site with a fire ring and bench a few miles before you get to the tower. Taking the road to the left your journey hugs the mountain edge then dips into the valley for unspoiled views of Pierda Blancas, and Rose Valley Lake. Once on the mountain edge the road ends at a trail head that will take you directly to the Topa Topa Bluffs. A mile before the road ends there is the one singular campsite. From the site, you have clear views of the Oxnard Plain, the Ojai Valley, and the Bluffs themselves, so close you can make out the diagonal ruts visible form the city. On May 23rd 2008 I visited the Bluffs for the second time. The weather did not cooperate and while we did stay the night, the temperature stayed at an icy 36f degree. Visibility was only 15-20 feet, so we did not get the views I have loved. I cannot wait to return. The solitude of the place inspires meditation, with only 2 campsites off the entire road, you can be assured privacy and silence. Just you and the bluffs.

Great views. We climbed up the Pratt Trail which gave us great views all the way up. Be sure to…read morelook for the geological stamp while you are up there . Views are spectacular. You can see the Channel Islands and Topa Topa on a clear day. Breath taking. We took the Gridley back and that was a nice and less steep trail back down.

I would definitely come back here to learn about the house and to take the guided tour. This wasn't the purpose for me coming today but the gentleman who works here noted that it's a great tour and I know friends who have enjoyed learning about the family and the history of the house, getting a deeper dive of information. I came here with some friends for their first hosted event Sound Bath. A wellness day if you will. From start to finish everything was very organized and thoughtful. The staff hosting the event and the spiritual wellness guide and sound healer was wonderful. Everyone was nice and you felt welcomed. Not pretentious and just very positive and good vibes. We had a nice group and everyone was respectful and on time for the sound bath so it went off without issue. It was a relaxing experience and the grounds were very nice to hold this outdoor event. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, we found an area with shade, very nice. Very faint sounds of cars in the distance here and there which wasn't ideal but out of their control and once things settled in you really couldn't hear much external noise. After the relaxing sound bath we were offered tea and light pastry snacks. I opted for a water and began exploring the grounds instead of partaking in the refreshments. The grounds are lush and lovely, very zen. Loved the beautiful trees and walkways with small fountains and running water. It was green and pretty all around from the recent rains. Definitely a great location for events and to learn a little SB history. I will definitely do my research and come back again soon.
