He wasn't mean, he just wanted to play. he would jump up on us, and our small kids, and knock them down. After 3 week of training, in house at Muttworks, Keith brought him home. Rip is now the perfect dog! Our kids can now play with him, with no worries of being tackled! When we take Rip in for group classes, the other trainers come up to him, call him by name, and tell him how proud they are of him. Keith, along with his staff, are loving, and treat Rip like he is their dog. If you have a dog, that needs some training, I highly recommend Muttworks. When we took…read moreour 6-month-old (now almost a year old) German Shepard to them, he was very reactive, scared of going out to stores, the vet, or meeting new people... All of these were a nightmare for me (and him). Now we can go out to stores, do outdoor activities, and even with groups of people. I was so impressed with how they turned his training around that I have also taken his "sister" a 4-month-old German Shepard to have her trained as well (dropped her off for training at 12 weeks old to start her off right). I took 2 handfuls (fur babies) in and got 2 very well-behaved best friends back. After 6 months we are now in protection training, and it is going great. The classes are very informative and, most importantly, fun because let's be honest, if you're not having fun then your pet is not having fun and now, you're not going to classes. Everybody I have interacted with at MuttWorks has been very professional, friendly and more importantly, THEY LOVE AND TREAT EVERY SINGLE DOG THEY TRAIN LIKE THEIR OWN.

Becca works miracles because we were questioning whether we needed to get rid of our dog before a baby was born. He had horrible door, leash, food, play manners. When on a leash, he would bark excessively and pull you aggressively to get to them if one of our family members got far away. He would steal food from our children or anything left out on the table. He was aggressive towards people coming into our house and would even bark at kids. Now he is a well mannered, obedient and confident dog. He has been such a joy to have with us and we can now take him anywhere we go! Over a year ago, my family members even told us we were not allowed to bring him any longer when we visited because of how he acted. Now they are excited to have him come visit too! This places charges for photo updates on your boarded animal lol what a joke! It doesn't cost anything to provide exceptional service and send a picture once a day. We requested boarding services while out of the country. Our pet sitter had an emergency and we needed to change facilities last minute. I was on the phone with an incredible lady, sorry don't remember her name. She was kind and walked me through the process of boarding and submitting paperwork on April 26th - see a photo of email. We were boarding Layla for two weeks and since we were traveling abroad I called to arrange a payment and left a credit card on file. Every day we were calling to check on our baby. Every day there was a rude soulless man answering the phone(supposedly the owner). The first week payment was charged and I called on May 3rd to confirm that for the next boarding week all is set and they will charge my card again. The rude man assured me yes all is set and good. When my niece went to pick up Layla yesterday, he told her that the dog will not leave the facility until a payment is made!!!! Great, but you had a credit card on file from the previous week and you confirmed that all was good. He terrorized my niece for a payment instead of looking at Layla's file and calling the cell numbers on file. When I called, the rude dude said that he never spoke to me and I never gave him authorization to charge my card. He didn't know who I was... well Mr. Owner you should of looked at your files and read the communication. I asked to speak to the woman who originally helped me - he refused screaming at me with his hoarse voice I AM THE OWNER. I asked him to reverse the charge of my nieces card and charge the one on file. He refused. I asked where my receipt was for the "authorized" week and his response was I gave it to the girl. Lol I didn't authorize you giving the receipt to anyone but me and an email would of been appropriate. At this point I hung up and didn't want to deal with an individual who has zero respect toward his customers. Will not be back and don't recommend this business. If you treat your clients so poorly I can only imagine how you treat the animals. A big NO NO!

Jen is THE Dog whisperer!!!…read more Our Aussie mix has always been a big challenge for us. He is a very reactive dog and would often try to nip any poor soul, human or canine, who was within reach. Walking him was always a problem -- if anyone was on the same sidewalk, we had to change sidewalks. The solution was to walk him at the break of dawn when the streets are empty. We heard about Jen from a friend who recommended her very highly and explained that she was trained by the main man -- Cesar Milan! Jen confirmed this when we met her at Victoria Gardens where she wanted to meet Tuco to assess his behavior. She walked him up and down the busy sidewalks and witnessed for herself his unpredictable behavior when he leaped twice at people for no reason. Jennifer was very confident that she could train him so we left Tuco with her for three weeks. It was the best investment we ever made for him! We got back an unrecognizable Tuco who was so well behaved that he only had to be told a command once before executing! When we picked him up, Jennifer demonstrated his new behavior by walking a big Rottweiler that he didn't know on the same sidewalk. When the dogs passed each other, Tuco kept looking straight and did not engage the Rottie. This would have have been impossible prior to the training. Also, Jen gave us a training collar with a remote. When we put it on him before walks, he knows it's work time and we hardly ever have to correct him. While on vacation, Jen sent daily pictures and videos of Tuco and as time progressed we became more and more shocked with what she was able to do with him, like attending a concert at a public venue with tons of people around him or walking with him at Home Depot and Pet Smart! It is clear to us that Jen deeply cares for Tuco and established a clear bond with him. He's not just another dog getting training -- each dog gets Jen's undivided attention when it's worktime! Our only regret is that we didn't hear about Jen sooner! Tuco is not five and our quality of life and piece of mind would have been so much better if we had trained him sooner. Since that time, we brought in our other dogs to Jen, both American Eskimos, one with a HUGE temper! Again, Jen did her magic and he is the most well-behaved little guy! We can't recommend Jen strongly enough. Regardless of the problem or issues you have with your dog, Jen will take the time to understand his/her motivation and create an effective customized program. Jen is THE BEST!!!

He is currently on Chemo for lymphoma and I would not trust anyone but Joan to watch him while we're out of town. She also does grooming and training, which I can't comment on because I've never used those services, however from other people's experiences, she is top notch on those as well.
