From the minute you ogle the window display you can tell they're going beyond the bedazzled jean pocket/Kohls-ish fashion of rural small towns. No offense to Kohls fans. C'mon, you know what I mean. On this last particular visit, I was particularly obsessed with a pair of loose fitting flow-y pants that caught my eye in the window. They reminded me of a pair I picked up in Seville, Spain last year. Hard to come by! Sadie Grace brings a stylish, progressive line up of dresses, dressy pants, accessories, shoes and overall trendy apparel. Every time I stop in I find something I'd love to buy at prices that match what they're offering. I've also found that they change inventory frequently making it somewhere you want to visit often. In the back of the shop you'll find a hand full of dressing rooms. Last, but certainly not least, you can tell the staff/owners take pride in their work the minute they welcome you into the shop. It's amazing how many businesses miss how important that initial greeting and impression is.

The store carries beautiful mantillas that are created locally as well as imported from Spain. One can also find a nice selection of DVDs, and if one wants to rent them, they can be loaned for $3/weekly. At this store we found many Traditional Catholic books such as The Three Conversions in the Spiritual Life by Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange, The 1962 Roman Missal by Baronius Press, Faith of our Fathers (Vol 1-3) by Fr Jurgens and the original (not revised) Baltimore Catechism. This is one of my favorite places in Darke Country!! Every time I'm up that way I stop in…read more Bear's Mill is a historic working mill and one of the very few water powered mills in Ohio. Yes, you can buy flour, corn meal, grits, and others that were ground right there at the mill. It's three floors and you can climb all three for the self guided tour. The store on the ground floor has a little of everything. Food (lots of jams and jellies), coffee, homemade bread and baked goods (made in Greenville with the flour ground at the mill), home goods, jewelry, and clothing. There is also an art gallery on the first floor. Most everything on display is for sale and is made by local artists. The grounds around the mill are beautiful. There are a couple walking paths behind the mill. One leads back to a Darke County Vietnam memorial, a fun little fire pit with wood provided, and the Bear's Mill Electric Company dam and lock.
