They really go above and beyond to make each kid and family feel special. We will miss you and hope we can come back soon! Highly recommend this establishment, 10/10!

He's since graduated to the transition room at Happy Days and is still having a blast. He often comes home demonstrating skills from school that surprise us! And he's learning new play from his classmates as well that are adorable to us. When I pick him up, it's also nice to see that the children know each other's names when they say goodbye or when their parents enter the room for pickup. We're now queued to graduate from the transition class (to the next class up) where the school really help us with the potty training journey. They've been great partners in ensuring that he readily tool to transitioning to a potty. As a part of an (unrelated) outside evaluation for our son, there were some observation windows within the classroom. Afterwards, during the debrief with them, they were very happy with what they saw at Happy Days: from the teachers, class interaction, and our child. Which is great news for us, because they've seen more schools than we have! Overall we're very glad to have found Happy Days early in our search. Our infant-now-toddler has had huge growth during that time.

My daughter has been here…read morefor two years now from Pre‑K, Summer School, and TK, and the experience has been consistently positive every step of the way. It is a small school with a true family feel. Every teacher knows the students by name, and that sense of care is felt daily. The office staff is very responsive. Any time there has been a question or issue, we have always received a quick response and prompt action. The elective teachers deserve special recognition as well. Ms. Jeannie (Science), Ms. Edith (Spanish), and Ms. Zoe (Music) have all done an amazing job creating hands‑on, engaging lessons that truly keep the kids excited and involved. Most importantly, we cannot say enough wonderful things about my daughter's TK teacher, Ms. Weiss. My daughter absolutely loves her, and when I asked why, she said, "Because she listens to everything." That alone speaks volumes about the level of care, respect, and attention Ms. Weiss gives her students every single day. She is incredibly engaging, warm, and thoughtful, and she goes above and beyond to make learning fun by celebrating all kinds of occasions, decorating the classroom with her own amazing props and costumes for all the children, and going all out to make the school year special. Ms. Weiss is truly one of a kind. We have seen tremendous growth in our daughter under Ms. Weiss's guidance. Academically, she is excelling in reading and math, and her writing and reading skills have made huge strides. Even more meaningful is how genuinely interested she now is in reading and writing outside of the classroom. We have also seen amazing growth in her interpersonal skills such as confidently greeting others, engaging with new friends, and learning how to reason and communicate thoughtfully. All of this is thanks to Ms. Weiss and the strong foundation she has helped build during these critical early education years. We are incredibly grateful for the lasting impact she has had on our daughter's growth. While we are so sad to be leaving Ms. Weiss's class soon, we know the lessons, confidence, and love of learning will stay with our daughter for life. I also want to give a special thank you to my daughter's Pre‑K teachers, Ms. Sonal and Ms. Gauri. They did an incredible job setting a strong foundation in phonics and helping her transition from daycare into a more structured school environment. The early support was crucial to her confidence and success at the school in the beginning, and we are so grateful for the role they played in shaping her learning journey. Lastly, we are also so grateful for the extended day teachers who have been such a big part of our daughter's experience. Ms. Holly during Summer School and Ms. Hibah during TK have been absolutely wonderful. They keep the extended day program fun and engaging with creative arts, activities, and fresh ideas, which makes it feel less like "extra hours" and more like an extension of the school day. As parents, it gives us so much comfort knowing our child is in caring, creative hands even after regular school hours.

We've had a wonderful experience throughout this time. He has transformed from a shy little one who was nervous around new people into a confident, outgoing and talkative toddler. The teachers are incredibly warm, affectionate, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping the kids learn and grow. Every day is filled with fun, age-appropriate, and engaging activities that keep the children excited about learning. I also really appreciate the values they instill in the kids . They learn to play well together, take turns, and wait patiently for their turn. This strong focus on social development helps the children build friendships easily and interact kindly with one another. The staff also goes above and beyond in celebrating holidays and festivals, making each occasion special and memorable for the kids. When we were first touring daycares, what stood out most to us about Tulip was how warm, knowledgeable, and hands-on the director, Ms. Nikki, was. She knew every child by name, how their day had gone, and seemed to have a deep understanding of each one's unique needs. We also loved how the school helped make the transition to daycare smooth by allowing parents to accompany their child for the first few days. This thoughtful approach really put our minds at ease. The classrooms are clean, bright, and spacious, and the shaded outdoor play area is perfectly designed for all the different age groups. I especially appreciate that the infants have their own dedicated play area. The school also provides detailed daily updates through Procare, so we always know what our son ate, how long he napped, and how much he enjoyed his activities. The meals they serve are nutritious, wholesome, and include a nice variety of cuisines. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Ms. Jenny (from the infant class) for doing a phenomenal job connecting with the little ones, engaging them in creative ways, and offering us valuable feedback on how to support their development at home. I'm also very grateful to Ms. Gina (from the preschool class) for caring so deeply about each child's growth and taking a personalized approach to help them learn and strengthen any skills they may need extra support with. She provides detailed feedback every day and designs thoughtful, engaging activities to encourage learning and development. Their passion for their work truly shines through. We feel so lucky to have found Tulip Kids Academy and can't recommend it highly enough!

The school director, teachers, and staff have been nothing short of amazing and full of warmth. They have been helpful answering questions and communicating the procedure in how they operate from day one. I am really looking forward to how my son develops here. He started at 21 months old and recently transitioned to the Thomas Road location as he turns 3. Incredible Teachers: Ms. Katie, Ms. Cho, Ms. Choi, Ms. Lim, Ms. Tessa, and Ms. Allison create a remarkably safe and nurturing environment. Ms. Katie brings decades of Montessori experience to the structured setup. Ms. Cho warmly welcomes the kids every morning, and Ms. Katie personally sees them off on most evenings with individual feedback for the parents. Great Communication: They use a fantastic mobile app for easy check-ins, payments, and school updates. Best of all, they sent pictures and videos of our toddler throughout the day getting those updates at work and seeing him grow was such a dopamine hit! Life Skills & Activities: They actively help with potty training, self-feeding, and learning to put on shoes etc. They also host great activities like yoga, pumpkin patch outings, summer camps, teachers appreciation day and Mother's Day celebrations. Structured day: Ms Katie has created a toddler curriculum, they have designated nap-time, play time and a lot of Montessori toys to keep the children engaged. Food & Care: They provide food but allow home-packed lunches. Our toddler was a fussy eater, and Ms. Cho was incredibly helpful in working with him on this. We couldn't be happier with our decision. The recent transition to their Thomas Road location was seamless (and honestly deserves its own 5-star review).

Now that she is a month away from being 2 years old, our daughter has grown and learned so much since being in this school. I remember my first day dropping her off and she cried for about two weeks before she was able to finally transition, and man, that was rough for a first time mom. But the school provides an app with updates via messages and pictures of their daily activities (arts and crafts, sharing day, circle time), which helped settle those nerves especially in the early days. Now, my daughter walks up herself to daycare and waves mommy goodbye. It's definitely a proud mommy moment to see her grow to be independent, while also giving her the gift of learning early in a school setting and making friends along the way. I also have to add - the teacher to children ratio here also makes me feel confident my daughter is getting the attention and care she needs from the teachers - and you can also tell the teachers truly care about the children at the school. I love working with Ms Katie on the admin parent side, and I could tell Mrs Cho and Mrs Choi both adore my daughter. Santa Clara Montessori also provides summer school activities for two weeks, which included some water activities which my daughter absolutely loved! Finally, I have to admit, while childcare in the Bay Area is expensive, Santa Clara Montessori provides flexibility and options which works for our family. Rather enrolling our daughter in the full time program, we have been enrolled in the part time program, first with three days and then expanding to the four day program. This works great for our family financially, and we're happy Santa Clara Montessori provides this option for us. We're so happy we found a place we could trust leaving our daughter while we're at work, while also being a place that helps our daughter continue to learn and grow.

We have had a truly wonderful experience with this daycare, led by the director, Perl. Our daughter…read moreis three years old, and since we moved from New York one year and six months ago, the environment and system here initially felt a bit unfamiliar to us. However, it didn't take long for us to realize how warm, professional, and thoughtfully run this daycare really is. At first, we did have a small concern that the number of children seemed a bit high compared to the number of teachers. However, during our meeting, the staff clearly explained that the daycare strictly follows California's teacher-to-child ratio regulations. After spending some time here and observing how experienced and capable the teachers are, we quickly felt reassured. It became clear that the team knows exactly how to manage and guide the children in a calm and structured way. One thing that really stands out is Perl's leadership. She is very hands-on and actively involved. She organizes events and is often outside observing the children while they play. If she notices any inappropriate behavior, she steps in immediately and gently corrects it in a calm, professional, and patient manner. As a parent, it is incredibly reassuring to see someone guiding the children so thoughtfully. Another detail we truly appreciate is that the director's office is intentionally located along the drop-off and pick-up walkway. Because of this, we frequently see Perl or the assistant director, Marissa, when dropping off or picking up our child. We can easily say hello, have friendly conversations, and talk about how our child is doing. At some daycares, if you ask the director about your child, they might just tell you to ask the classroom teacher. Here, that's not the case. They are approachable, engaged, and genuinely interested in the children and their families. As parents, we can sometimes be picky or have many questions about our child's experience. What we really appreciate is that the staff here always listen patiently and respectfully. They never dismiss concerns and always take the time to communicate thoughtfully with parents. That kind of openness and respect makes a huge difference and builds a lot of trust. Perl has extensive experience and shows a great deal of respect and empathy toward each family. She understands that every family has different backgrounds and situations, and she approaches each child with patience and care. Under Perl's leadership, the teachers are incredibly kind and caring with the children. Each teacher has their own style, which we really appreciate. Some are firm when needed, while still being warm and sweet with the kids. I was especially impressed when I read one teacher's profile card explaining her philosophy that every child has a different personality and should therefore be guided in different ways. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out to me. Other many teachers also show a very genuine love for the children and treats them almost like their own. The outdoor play area is also fantastic. In the afternoon, it naturally gets shaded, which helps the kids stay comfortable even during warmer days. The staff are also very attentive to the weather and will bring the children indoors when it gets too hot. The daycare also does a wonderful job celebrating diversity. There are many family participation events, such as St. Patrick's Day celebrations, that reflect different cultures and backgrounds. In addition, the children participate in daily educational activities that support their development. You can really see the experience and thoughtful structure behind their curriculum. In addition, the daycare offers extra activity classes such as dancing, soccer, and baseball. These are wonderful programs that give the children opportunities to stay active, explore different interests, and simply have fun while learning new skills. They also offer a monthly "Parent Night" on Friday evenings. For a small additional fee, they care for the kids until around 10 PM, giving parents a little breathing room. The kids enjoy movie nights and fun group activities organized by the teachers, and our daughter always comes home excited after these evenings. We feel very lucky to have found this daycare. If we have a second child, we would absolutely choose to bring them here again without hesitation. For parents who may still be deciding where to send their child, I completely understand how difficult that decision can be. Choosing a daycare is one of the most important choices for your family. I hope this review helps ease some of that hesitation. From our experience, this is a place where your child will be cared for, guided, and loved--and you can feel confident in your decision.

When I arrived, he was in severe pain--so much so that he couldn't even stand up on his own. When I asked what had happened, the teachers said they "didn't know" and suggested he may have hurt himself while playing. This lack of awareness alone was alarming. I immediately took him to urgent care, where he was diagnosed with nursemaid's elbow, a painful injury typically caused by forceful pulling of a child's arm. The doctor was able to fix it, but the situation was extremely distressing. Once my son calmed down, I asked him what happened. He clearly told me that Ms. Paulina had grabbed his arm and dragged him. Hearing this as a parent was heartbreaking. What's worse is how the school handled it: They failed to properly supervise and didn't know how the injury occurred They waited nearly two hours before informing us, despite the severity of his condition They initially denied any knowledge of what happened After I showed them a video of my child explaining the incident, their story completely changed Instead of taking responsibility, they began shifting blame onto my child, labeling him as "not well behaved"--something that contradicts all prior reports from the same school At no point did Ms. Paulina apologize. The lack of accountability was shocking. Even more concerning was the response from the owner, Colleen Noll, whose handling of the situation reflected a complete disregard for transparency, responsibility, and basic child safety standards. She probably is the worst person I have encountered in child care industry. She's never around the school either, unless there's some trouble. My child never went back there after that incident. There were few prior incidents when my son would come home with cut lips, when ask they say he cut his lip in outdoors when he fell etc. Bottom line: This wasn't just an accident--it was a combination of negligence, lack of supervision, dishonesty, and poor leadership. When something goes wrong involving your child, you expect honesty and accountability. We received neither. I would strongly caution other parents before trusting this school with their children. The teachers never smile. If you are looking for a preschool to entrust your child, this is the place. Miss Annie and staff really loves and cares for the kids. I can tell by looking at my son when he arrives in the morning at the preschool. He walks in and runs straight to Miss Annie for a hug. You can tell the kids all love Miss Annie. And on top of that preschool is clean and have a spacious back yard. I love it when Austen comes home and starts singing the songs that he learned from Miss Annie. I just love it! Bright Starz also provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks, so one less lunch bag to pack in the morning. Awesome! I am really blessed to have Miss Annie in our lives!

The school is in a really quiet and calm area downtown next to the library. The backyard is spaceous and has a lot of the kids to do. There are mature fruit trees and the fruits are shared with the families that attend there. However according to the head of school Annie, they have a cranky old woman neighbor who complains a lot about the children playing back there. Inside there are rooms for three groups/ages of children but since it is a house, the rooms aren't very large. The rooms and house is secure and the teachers are either in training or certified. The teacher turnover is very low which is awesome. The focus on reading, writing and math with Montessori style socialization (at least based on the materials we saw). The school has 3, 4 and 5 day options and pickup time is flexible. They provide breakfast and lunch. The price however does not go down after the child is potty trained like with most other schools. Bright Starz is extremely low tech, which seemed amazing at first but it is so much so that admittedly even the email is not working property and it doesn't seem to be a priority to get a new working one. The only point person is the woman we toured with named Annie (Maria). She seems to be a nice woman who cares for the children, however there are potential boundaries issues there. We just met and she felt it was appropriate to kiss our child on the forehead for example. We didn't say anything as our little one was upset about having to leave the backyard and the woman seemed genuinely concerned. In anycase, she has a lot of positive things to say about the families/parents that attend there. My guess is because no one challenges her and just trusts her methods outright. Annie is very chatty but ironically, I doubt is willing to take much constructive criticism. She gave out her phone number to contact her with out decision and when I did, I got no response at all. I know she saw it because read reciepts are on for her. I explained how hard a decision it was for us. We were deciding between this school and another one our older child had previously attended which we were upfront about. The latter won out because our child seemed to interact more with the inside materials and students at the other school when we toured, we are more familiar with that school and teachers, communication options are better and pricing structure makes more sense. I was worried she didn't have the bandwidth to get back to everyone in time or at all for every inquiry and she proved my point. This is very concerning in cases of emergencies or even just to clear up any confusion etc. It is also possible she didn't like our decision and didn't feel it was necessary to say anything professional back. Either way I would say mixed bag with this place and and ok option but overall the kids seem happy. Just don't question this lady because you won't get much cooperation back in my experience.

She really gets to know each child, understands their likes/dislikes, their personalities, learning styles so that she can help children grow in a way that works best for them. Curriculum - This is the third preschool my son has been to now, and the curriculum that Ms. Sandy puts together is unparalleled. I love that she personalizes the work for each kid (which takes so much time, energy, and consideration!). She knows how to help children grow in a way that they are having fun while learning and going at a pace that works best for them. - I also love the variety in arts and crafts, hands-on manipulatives, and that she adds on things such as music and self-defense. The art projects that my son comes home with are very creative and adorable. - Ms. Sandy puts a lot of thought into the themes for each week, and puts together a lovely newsletter outlining the art projects, agenda/lessons of the week, along with photos of the children. Meals: - The staff prepares children a fresh brunch every day with pancakes/bread, sausage, and freshly cut fruit. Ms. Sandy will often text photos of that day's brunch which is fun to see! - Children bring their own lunch that the staff can microwave for them. On Fridays, the school prepares lunch for the children. School schedule: - There are plenty of options in terms of number of days per week you want your child enrolled and for how many hours, and basically Ms. Sandy will work with you on creating a schedule that best fits your family - I have really appreciated how flexible she has been with our schedule. For example, if we're in the 3 days a week program, and had to swap our regular day for different day of the week she is very open to that. At our old school, they would make us pay an extra day fee. I was also very late on a payment once, and she did not ask me for a late fee. I love feeling that she is there to support children and families and not there to nickel and dime parents. Facility: - The school is hidden in the same plaza as Orenchi/Savers/the Stand. I have to say that I used to feel a bigger school space would have more to offer for my kids, but I was completely wrong. I love that the space is very very clean (the kids wear indoor shoes), always organized and clean. Even the bathroom is impressively tidy. They have a backyard space behind the school. Class size: My son has a very timid personality and at our old school, he would cry at drop-off nearly daily for the first half of the school year. For some reason, it only took him 1-2 days to adjust to this new school. I think having 20+ kids running around was just too overwhelming for him at his old school. The staff here is so welcoming and attentive which really helped him adjust quickly and he does not complain about going to school anymore. The ratio is I think supposed to be 1:4- 1:6 depending on the age, but most of the time the ratio is much lower than that; which is far far less than other schools we have toured. I am so grateful to have found Ms. Sandy and her staff!
