Nobody likes to do it but it's an evil necessity. Paperwork upon reams of paperwork. But this time? This ridiculous excuse for a school district has left me and my son hanging in the most egregious way. School starts tomorrow and because someone along the way of the inane and inefficient manner in which we were forced to register, someone dropped the ball! After at least half a dozen tortuous phone calls to the district(where I was told more stories than a soap opera), two attempts in person to the school we are assigned (but of course has no room and it's a secret until you try and register), numerous e-mails to the most helpful and dedicated parent I've ever come across, after all of the screwball, scavenger hunt "procedures" - well, my son has NO school to attend on the first day of school. What a bunch of bullshit. This place is a low grade circus...

Social environment is healthy and students are respectful of one another, faculty and staff. The campus has had some nice upgrades. But frankly, what the buildings or class rooms look like is not the most important thing. It's what goes on in the classrooms that matters. Keep that in mind as you "shop" for schools.

I went there for one year and it was hell. the dorm was disgusting with mold and other stuff in it the class rooms were even worse and they charge you for everything. the coach Evan is one of the worse coaches I have ever seen and get mad at kids and do the most I wouldn't recommend to send your child there. the basketball is good on the otherside but trust me living there is like you living in a prison. if you don't let them know stuff they will write you up and the headmaster will write you up for being late. trust me wasting so much money to go there with shit facilities is a waste of time.

The administration handles everything just beautifully. This year we had a bomb scare and our principal remained very calm and with the cooperation of everyone we were all safe. Don't get me wrong their are numerous minor issues with the school. To start the lockers are terrible they have more issues than a magazine! The hall ways are extremly narrow for the amount of slow moving beastly specimens that have to pass through them and at times it feels like u have to waddle like a penguin just to get through center hall. The biggest problem with this school is getting is getting to this school. The town is not made for the amount of traffic in the morning and the crossing guards don't seem to do much to improve the situation. Every day the traffic night mare called Allentown forces tons of students to be tardy. Lets say u are late by 2 minutes because of this traffic abomination you will be at least 20 minutes lye after u wait on a line at the attendance office and then walk back to class. It seems like they could improve the protocol for when u are only a few minutes late. In conclusion despite its minor issues it is a great school and I wouldn't want to go any where else. Come to Allentown high school where there is a little heaven in every hall
