I never saw the needle coming towards my eye and every care was taken to ensure I had a positive outcome. I received great news today that everything looks great and I don't have to return for six months! His staff were courteous and friendly. Everything was explained to me ahead of each step, and I never felt rushed or dismissed. Dr. Brown is quiet and works very efficiently to ensure your safety. My background is as a Paramedic and ER nurse. I researched every step of my treatment and each medication used. My care was spot on. My only negative comments would be long appointments (2-3 hours depending on procedure) and some insurance billing hiccups that were corrected as soon as they were identified. Something as important as the health of your eyesight cannot be rushed. Come in with the understanding that it's a multi-step process and try to relax. We spend hours in nail and hair salons and call it "self care" your eyesight is worth your time and grace. Many patients are elderly, use walkers or wheelchairs and may become uncomfortable during long waits. As Regional Director of Bluebird Homecare in Charlotte, I understand their needs and preferences more than some might. When you're sitting there, smile at the patients waiting with you. Strike up a pleasant conversation and the time will pass more quickly for both of you. Make the best of every moment and be the reason a stranger has a more positive wait.

This a follow-up from my initial visit…read more I had my implant surgery on 12/16/20 with Dr Wessell. It was very smooth and straight forward and a very good experience overall. I was there at 7:15a, in the chair by 745a and done within about an hour and one half. That evening I got a follow-up call from Dr Wessell. He assured me the procedure went well and encouraged me to contact him if I had any questions or issues. I followed his plan through my next visit on 12//30/20 and after a short consultation, he assured me that my post surgery progress was on track. Dr Wessell and his staff are personable and professional. I give them a strong recommendation.

I paid for a procedure using my HSA card based on the amount I was told upfront. Later, I found out…read morethe actual cost was much lower, and they were holding a large credit on my account. That's a problem, because you can't just leave funds sitting there when it's paid with an HSA card--especially when I had no other procedures scheduled. I've made multiple calls over the past three weeks and keep getting told a refund is coming, but nothing has been done. Meanwhile, I've lost access to those HSA funds while they drag their feet fixing their own mistake. This has been incredibly frustrating and reflects very poor customer service.
