Just have to say, the folks at Willy's Auto have restored my faith in the honest mechanic. Most importantly for me, they listened to what I had to say, first, then made sure to tell me what they found BEFORE doing the work. Willy and his crew seem to truly understand what service is, and they deliver it completely. Plus, they only charged me for what they could fix, basically giving me a 1/2 hour of time because they were "evaluating" and searching. I can't say enough good things about this shop. Visited this shop 3 times. I spent about $1000 with them. The waterpump job was botched and had my radiator damaged after the car overheated due to the pump not circulating coolant. But that was not the only job they messed up. Even better, after just leaving them a fair negative review on Google, the owner stalks my Facebook and sends me a message calling me an ass wipe. Thats customer service for ya folks at Willy's bucket shop. Now I intend to sue them not just for damaging my vehicle, but also for breaching my privacy by posting the invoices with my name and vehicle info on them online. I'm not sure what are they trying to prove? How shitty they did the jobs listed on those invoices ? read more

Spent $390 to have a leak fixed on the power steering, it was working when brought in and still is , but now it leaks much, much worse. After taking it back in and waiting another day for a a two minute look see, they guessed it needs a $800 steering rack. Friendly guy but this doesn't get it. Go somewhere else. read more

So this fool is very kind on the phone saying oh yes come in we can diagnose your car to make sure it is the alternator gave me a quote for like $452. He stated he was the cheapest in town so I called EQ diesel they were $12 cheaper than him and then I got another quote from Clunkers auto repair and they were $110 cheaper than Willys so shop around before you make your final decision with Willy he claims to be the cheapest but he's not and he was very cocky when I called him back to say hey this guy is cheaper are you willing to compete he said no I'm satisfied with the price that I gave you so I was satisfied taking my business elsewhere he's a jerk read more

We were told our vehicle could be worked on in a day or two, a week and a half later, the vehicle was still sitting. No one had the sense to call us and let us know that they couldn't get to it, and when we finally checked in, they said it'd be even longer before they could get to it, because after looking under the hood they still weren't sure what was wrong. We decided to take the vehicle to another mechanic... who told us that Willy's had burned up the starter and that they'd have to take extra time to put back together all the things that had been pulled apart. We LOVE Willy's Auto! After our vehicle threw some codes about our engine oil, we took it to the local dealership to have it fixed. They told us we needed a whole new engine ... an $8000 expense that we were going to have to live with. After lots of thinking and talking to other people, we decided to take our vehicle to Willy's. Best decision we ever made! They were very quick to find the issue and all it needed was an oil change ... a $70 expense, compared to the $8000 expense the dealership said we would have. Since then, we have taken our vehicle to Willy's a few times for minor things and every time they are just amazing! They go above and beyond, even just for an oil change. The last time I took my vehicle in for an oil change, they knew I would be traveling out of town so they checked all of my fluids and topped everything off so I would have safe travels. They are a small town mechanic shop and I love that! I will recommend anyone and everyone there! read more

Willy's Auto mechanics are honest, skilled, friendly, and the prices are so reasonable. I bought a 17 year old car from a friend and even though it probably needed a lot more work done, I decided I should at least get the timing belt changed, cause it hadnt been changed ever, and I just need the car to run and I cant afford to spend a lot of money. So, I had my timing belt changed at another mechanic in town but when I got it back, the car engine and steering wheel were shaking and the car's power would go up and down almost to off, in intervals, when the car was at idle. I told the other mechanic shop about what was going on and asked them to check if the timing belt that they had installed was off a tooth but they said the timing belt was correct without looking at it, they refused to go back into the engine to double check it. They said I needed a new tensioner and that was the problem but to install the new tensioner, it would cost an additional $500. I could tell I was being lied to and didnt want to give them anymore of my money, so I asked my friend if she knew a good mechanic and she recommended Willy's. Willy's mechanic Bryce listened to me regarding my concerns about the timing belt and the power changes and he actually took the engine apart, checked the timing belt, and found out it was just the spark plugs. He also told me the tensioner didnt need replacing. He worked on my car all day and only charged me a couple hundred bucks, even though he basically had to take my engine apart. Im getting my manifold (I think) replaced with them next. I know they may not answer the phone all the time and the car might take longer than expected, which both happened to me, but there seems to be only two mechanics there, and they are totally worth the wait. I am glad to have found a mechanic that I can trust in Missoula. read more

Folks. I'm going to be honest. This guy and his mechanics are not good ones. If they had done me right I would be giving them 5 stars. The truck is a 1981 Toyota pick up. It was old and needed work. It wouldn't run right so I called them up to look at rebuilding the carb. They said oh Willy is the best in town and what not.. so I drove it there.. and they called me 3 days later to only tell me that it would be cheaper to buy a new one.. I asked for a price... and I saved 70$ ordering it myself. So of course I did. I brought it to them and it took them over a week to instal it which is fine, it isn't my daily driver anyways. I get there and the truck ran great. But they also had it warmed up and I never got to hear the choke on when cold but I took there word. I asked Bryce and lucky for a quote on gears and they quoted me 1200-1800 if I bought them. I told them I would just order the kit from Yukon bc lucky his mechanic said they use NAPA and are garbage. So I went home and parked the truck, ordered the gears and came out to start it a few days later and it wouldnt idle high with the electric choke on the new carb.. popped the hood.. oh they never hooked it up, they never pulled the old manual choke cord out.. just laying in the motor. So I didn't call and fuss. I just figured I'd do it one day off work. And just so everyone knows... Willy is a liar.. they never did a tune up. I did the tune up.. I changed the plugs, wires and distributor cap. They never done that. I drove the truck that weekend all day one day and it did run great. The next morning I changed the oil and went to air up the tires and noticed it drop idle down to 500 rpms. I did go back home and mess with the carb to get it running but was way out of spec on the carb and sound like crap. I noted that to Willy's mech, he wasn't there. I drove the truck to the shop and it sat there for almost 2 1/2 weeks for him to try and figure it out.. he said he put the timing in spec and it ran great. No the timing was at 16 degrees and the carb was running 4 turns past spec. It ran way to hot and was smoking literally under the hood. I noted that to Willy and this was the first we had met. He didn't like that much and got an attitude. I drove it and it would stumble and bogged down.. he said they put a bigger jet in it.. it was a jet for 6500 ft. We live at 2500ft...why? This was a Thursday. He said he would fix it and then also noted my drive shaft was bent and needed a u joint. I told him to fix that as well. I called him from work at the shop and told him that LCengineering said that there is no reason that carb should be set the way it was. He then got aggravated as well. He text me on a Friday a video of my truck driving and said it's runing great. I came back the next day and the truck literally ran the exact same. All he did was have the shaft straitened. Never ujoint. I called him out on all the poor quality of work with the carb not hooked up, old parts just laying under the hood, nothing zip tied.. that's when he got mad and said he didn't wanna be my mechanic. Willy isn't your mechanic. He never touched the vehicle. He had the two young mechanics doing the work. He is never even there until the evening when people come to pay. Before I left he was yelling and cussing at his mechanic bc he miss quoted me on the gears and wanted 2800-3200 to do them.. not 1500. I never blew up his phone.. he just got mad that someone called him out on his poor mechanics. And honestly all that was wrong with my truck was a clogged fuel filter. That's why the idle was so poor out of no where. Simple fix. And in all honesty I paid a bill every time I went to pick up the truck. Don't let him tell you I didn't. I have over 1000$ in receipts from his shop bc they couldn't do things right. My new mechanic noted that this shop is a easy work easy money shop. these guys couldn't tackle even the smallest of jobs. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. charged me for the ujoint and never replace it. I'll post photos as well as others have. read more
