In short - do not use this funeral home. They released my mom's ashes to the wrong person…read more I would strongly advise against using Parrish Funeral Home. They released my mom's ashes to the wrong person, even after I repeatedly confirmed who they were supposed to go to, and the director/owner agreed to this (and after I paid for the cremation myself). This wasn't just a simple mistake--it was a huge failure in responsibility, especially at such a sensitive time. The most upsetting part is that they didn't even offer an apology or show any accountability for their mistake, and zero empathy from the director/owner when I brought the error to their attention. Losing a loved one is hard enough, but the mishandling of my mom's remains only made things more traumatic. I really hope no one else has to go through what I did. Please think twice before trusting them with your loved ones.

And it's not like you have a lot of money saved up for unexpected tragedy. You are just getting over a truly life-changing loss and then suddenly you have to come up with like $10,000 with some other funeral homes. I'm in Boston and my girl was in North Carolina. However Mr Peterkin handled everything well and it was very reasonable. It's like you are Shell Shocked from the loss of your loved one and you just want everything taken care of for you. And that's what Mr Peterkin was able to provide me. Nobody's perfect but he was always in touch and it made a big difference to me during a very tough time and sadly, it doesn't get easier. But Mr Peterkin really did a great service for me handling everything and did a great job in a very reasonable price and he was completely understanding and nice.

But, when the family went to make her arrangements, they found that final arrangements didn't include hair or makeup for the body, and when the funeral happened, they didn't even use the pre-chosen songs or service. What funeral home doesn't properly prepare the body??? My sixteen year old niece had to perform those functions, as this CHEAP funeral home didn't include at least those basics despite my Grandmother paying for it all ahead of time. This funeral home takes the MAX amount of money, while not even including the basics!! Do NOT go to this funeral home, as they are the WORST!! Do yourself a favor and stay away from here!!!!!
