This daycare is where I want my child to be. The owner is exceptional and has a very good heart. Her staff is wonderful and so loving and attentive to my daughter. She learns so much daily and grows so much by being there. They are very flexible and work with me if something changes in our schedule. read more

We've been taking our kids to Willow Tree for 8 years and have never been unhappy with their care.

For the past 6 years my kids have been at Willow Tree. They have always been loved, well taken care of, and when my oldest went to kindergarten this year he was educationally prepared for it. I have nothing but good things to say about the center and the teachers who work there. read more

My child has been going there for almost 3 years. I was worried about him because he was a preemie and slightly delayed in certain areas. He has excelled so much since going there. His social/emotional and cognitive skills have dramatically changed. Even his speech is getting better. I highly recommend WillowTree! read more

The staff is wonderful. They go above and beyond to make sure my daughter is taken care of. We have even made friends with several of the staff members. They aren't out to just ship our kid out the door, and will talk to us about their day, and answer any questions we have. It has to be the cleanest daycare there is because they are always always cleaning. Great environment! read more

Falls Short on Expectations. Just as the other reviewer stated, "looks good," but as for us, the experience was less than good. I hardly ever complain about a business because we're all trying to live (right?), #karmaanyone, but I'd never want another child to go through what ours did. The place is understaffed & I don't think the workers are treated fairly. And, yes...our child did frequently get sick when she was there. Although, it seems like they shouldn't since we were asked to bring in Clorox wipes and Kleenex (wow). Shouldn't that be included in your overhead? And, finally an adult temper tantrum in front of the children is hardly acceptable behavior. (Great for their brains, right?) Glad this is in our past. read more

Where do I even begin?? At first, this place seemed wonderful. The staff was always cleaning and everything seemed to be in order. However, during my son's year there, he was sick quite often and couldn't seem to catch a break. Half of the teachers were working while they were sick and just passing everything back and forth among themselves and the kids. My son often came home, literally starving bc it seemed he wasn't being fed enough. It wasn't until I talked to them about it and he moved into the toddler room, that someone actually paid attention to what and how much he was eating, instead of just placing him in a high chair with his food in front of him and walking away, trusting him to eat on his own. Every morning, when I would arrive to drop him off there would be at least 3 staff members sitting at one of the kids tables. After someone let us in the door, only a select few would come over to try and comfort my son in the morning, as he would cry every time. No one lifted their heads to greet anyone, smile or even acknowledge that we were standing there. Then on other occasions, the owner would stand and talk to me for an hour about personal issues she was having, such as her cheating husband and divorce. I walked in on numerous occasions to pre school aged children, sitting in high chairs as a form of punishment, while other kids ran around and played. As they cried and begged to be let out, they were ignored. I personally heard one staff member tell a child "if you didn't act like a baby, you wouldn't be treated like one" and she walked away. My final straw was when I was at work and I received a call from my husband that CYS was at my house, requesting to see my son. At this time, he was 20 months old. The CYS worker informed me that there was a complaint called in to child line, stating that they witnessed a teacher grab my son by the arm, drag him approximately 20 feet across the floor, forcibly place him on a sleep cot, point her finger at him and tell him to "stay there". I left work immediately and went to Willow Tree to speak to the owner. She was adamant that it didn't happen and wouldn't even consider that it was a possibility. I asked her about surveillance and she stated she doesn't have cameras because she trusts her girls. Well I'm sorry, I don't trust her girls that much. I was in her office for over an hour and she refused to budge on her position on it. She said over and over that if any of this is founded, this "teacher" would lose her clearances, her job and in turn, lose everything. I don't care about this woman's clearances or her job. Now, I'm all for sticking for your employees but when something serious like this comes up, instead of calling people liars and not credible, you look into the situation, not sweep it under the rug. It was as if the safety of my son was of minimal importance in comparison to this persons job. They were aware of this incident 6 days before I was informed of it. No other parent had been told what happened and this "teacher" was still able to work there. And because the owner refuses surveillance cameras, the abuse allegation was unfounded and dropped. This person is still employed there. She's allowed to run a class room unsupervised, discipline children and most of all, continue to act like nothing ever happened. I pulled my son from Willow Tree the day that I got the phone call. He is happier at his new day care and barely cries in the morning for drop off. When I pick him up, he's smiling and playing. It's like he's a different kid. What a difference this new place has made. I normally don't post reviews or anything like that but i hope it helps other parents see past the eyewash that Willow tree provides. They look great and friendly when you walk in there but it's not all what it seems. So did it happen?? Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. But I'm not willing to bet my sons safety on her choice of employees. read more

Stay away, the staff puts on a good show, but is burnt out and dislikes what they do. So many red flags that we were honestly upset with ourselves, for not removing her from this place sooner. Only once we tried another establishment did we see what we were sacrificing by sending our child here. I first questioned the place when I arrived to pick her up (my wife had always picked her up before). I found her in a room with 15-20 other small children running around like a crazy person. they were bouncing off each other and throwing toys around. The one lady in the room was seated and just watching the chaos. It appeared to me like she was exhausted and couldn't wait to get out of there for the day. I know that watching children all day is a tough job but if you think you can sit down, kick back and relax while you let them "free play" you will soon be in for a surprise. I was also surprised/concerned at the freedom I received when retrieving my child. I had never been in the place before this day. I had to walk to a back room to get here but no one questioned who I was or asked for any ID. I stated who I was there for and was only directed to take my "shoes off". Our child was left alone in the bathroom for extended periods of time (she was 2-3). One time she she was accused of spreading water everywhere and when asked how long she was left unattended they tried to change the subject. We were in the process of potty training and she had perfected the practice at home. For "some unknown reason" she could not grasp the concept at school. We would receive different progress reports from each member. We were also concerned with our child telling us she was placed in time out and wanted to ensure from our end she was receiving the discipline and teaching to behave correctly. My wife set up a meeting with the owner and expressed her concerns over the lackadaisical attitude of the staff. Her goal was to find out what we could do at home to help mirror her day at the facility. The owner also assured us that she would look into the issues with the staff. At first this appeared to solve the issue. My wife noticed that one of the staff members avoided her when dropping off our child but the rest seemed more engaging and friendly. After two weeks of receiving good reports of her progress suddenly we ran into a day that she "misbehaved". She was accused of knocking down several other children throughout the day. My wife asked why she was still placed among younger & smaller children? Most were 2 years old to her 3 years and she is also in the 98th percentile for hight at her age. We were told she wasn't ready and her progress to the next tier was delayed because we had only sent her 1 day a week over the summer break. At that point we had had enough. This place is just a run of the mill daycare that pretends to educate. Most other facilities in the Uniontown area cost a little more but the first one we tried after has shown us the difference. With a new place she now comes home with a smile on her face and we receive daily reports of what she is working on, pages of what she learned that day and most importantly she is in a structured room and not left to run around like a madman all day. I only hope this review helps other parents set a better foundation for their child's educational life. read more

Willow Tree has been outstanding during the nearly 6 years we have been taking our children there. Our kids have always left happy and ready to go back the next day. The education they have received them has put them well above their peers when entering kindergarten. They have always cooperated fully with any special requests we have made concerning discipline, potty training, even the food/beverage choices. This is, by far, one of the best preschool/daycares in the Uniontown, PA area. My son attends the preschool and has attended since he was a year old. The staff is one of the hardest working I've ever seen, the lunch program is wonderful. Plus they get breakfast and snacks throughout the day. Kids definitely don't go hungry here!! And there is no lack of love. The staff treats the children as their own. The infant and younger toddler rooms are phenomenal! The staff is energetic and still has time at the end of each day to talk with parents about their child's day. And after working with kids all day, that's pretty impressive! And my son has learned so much in preschool. I am an educator and have been in this business for a long time. And Willow Tree Learning Center is top notch. It's hard to find hard working, all around good people at daycares, and Willow Tree definitely has that! Plus, they are one of the cleanest establishments I've ever seen. read more
