All my friends and relations request at least one vist when they come to see us.
We shop here as much as possible -much better than using the big supermarkets. There are some pigs, chickens, turkeys and goats that can be seen too.
The people that run this shop are really friendly and helpful and it is a real family business. They grow a lot of their own produce and it is extremely fresh - picked on the day so no food miles. As much other produce as possible is sourced locally. On a Saturday morning there is a fish van (with fish fresh from Lowestoft) and excellent service is provided from a knowledgeable and friendly fishman!
Since we have been living in the area (approx 20 years) this shop has expanded gradually from a very small concern to its present size -still not enormous but wonderfully stocked and competitively priced.
Some of our favourite purchases (in season) are runner beans, sweet corn, fresh salad leaves and carrotsbut it's all yum! They also stock a small (but excellent) supply of local beer, ale, cider and apple juice as well as a good selection of wine and soft drinks. read more
