Dr Arnold is the only veterinarian thus far that actually cared about my dog and didn't treat me as if I were crazy.

I would never consider taking any of my pets anywhere else. Even feral cats if need be…read more My 12 year old dog Handsome developed an ulcer on his left eye. The vet tried everything they could to save the eye but it kept getting worse. We finally had to remove the eye. While he was recovering from the eye surgery he somehow swallowed a handful of change. We ended up having to have a penny surgically removed from his stomach lining. Then his right eye became infected. I was devastated, I was going to help my loving companion across the rainbow bridge because I didn't think he could have a good life as a blind dog at his advanced age. The vet, sorry I'm not good with names, talked me out of that so we went ahead and had Handsome's second eye removed. A couple of months later Handsome developed a really bad cough. So bad that we took him to the Emergency Pet Hospital in Lancaster. They told us that Handsome has pneumonia and that he had cancer. The wanted to put him to sleep. They put 7 other pets down during the time we were there. I think that's all they do there. I will NEVER take any animal there again ! I told them no and brought Handsome home. The Vets at Animal Hospital at Willow Street saw Handsome as an emergency basis on Monday morning. Handsome did not have pneumonia and Handsome does not have cancer. The other vet wanted to murder my dog for no reason !!! Handsome is now being treated for Congestive Heart Failure, which was the real problem, with medication and is doing just fine. Handsome will be turning 15 years old in a couple of weeks. Through all of this Handsome LOVES all of the staff here. Especially Emily. Handsome gets excited when we tell him he is going to see "his doctors". We take him out of our van when we get there and he walks across the parking lot and right in the door wagging his tail the entire time. Yes, he does very well being blind. It's freaky, sometimes we swear he can still see........ We also have cats we bring here. I had a Feral Cat come in the house. I called to make an appointment but could not catch the cat. I called and apologized the day of the appointment and rescheduled. I had to cancel the second appointment also because I could not catch the super intelligent wild cat. That cat is finally a pet now and I can get her into the pet carrier. The staff was completely understanding about the cancellations and I'll be bringing "Slinky" in real soon to be checked over. I could go on and on and on about how great Animal Hospital of Willow Street is. I recommend them to everyone who asks. Will & Cindy W. & Handsome, Zippy, Zappy and Slinky

Told us our cat needed surgery immediately and gave us an amount we couldn't afford so we asked what our options were and he continued making us feel as though he was giving a sales pitch. We asked what our other options are, just like everyone would do, and just like humans do when going to the hospital. He continued to give us the sales pitch and we inquired about putting her down and he noted, in a smart tone, "this is why we get our cat spade." Making us feel even more guilty and as if it was our fault and made us feel more deeply it was our fault AND THENNNN continued to give us a sales pitch. We won't be going back here and will be making sure no one else we know does.

Love this veterinary office. The team is helpful caring and attentive to my feather and fur babies…read more Dr Hall is just simply the best! He is dedicated and caring to my pets. A good example of the commitment is I had a few month old puppy that needed immediate attention but they were very busy and already more than the day would allow to see their patients, but they stayed late to help my little puppy. That is so unusual in today's businesses! So very appreciative of them. Will alway have my loyalty and gratitude, as well as anyone else I can tell

Yep, it's a busy office & with good reason. First and foremost, the staff works unbelievably hard, and they are such compassionate, animal-loving humans. Most importantly, as someone who worships her pets, I trust the expertise of the staff. They always make me feel at ease when I'm in a tizzy over my fur babies. They shower my dogs with hugs & kisses too; their dedication & genuine compassion go a very long way. Cindy, Kristin, Stephanie, Anna, and Kathleen are incredible assets to the VCA office. The veterinarians also don't beat around the bush. Dr. Hall has gone over all options of treatments before we choose one; he has called me with good news & also terrible news. His bedside manner is bona fide authentic & kind. I don't have a bird, but from what I understand, Dr. Hall is a phenomenal Avian veterinarian. Dr. Bauman explains thoroughly & even got down on the floor to play with my pups. Dr. Bennett, Dr. Burke have all been amazing vets. The facility is clean & my pups actually enjoy going to the vet. This location does not have boarding. But it has a nice big parking lot. There is also a grassy knoll for your pet to go potty before visiting the Dr. Beware of the squirrels if your dog is anything like Doug in UP *squirrel* I am a real customer of VCA & recommend the business.
