Almost $600.00 for my chihuahua's broken dew claw and I had to pay the bill the same day! It took over half my social security check! When I took the bandage off (as told to the next day), the heavy tape was stuck on so hard to his tiny leg that I could hardly remove it. His leg was bright red and raw. I put Vaseline on it but he licked it off even with an e-collar on. They are very nice people but how on earth can elderly people afford to have pets? read more

Dr Arnold and the rest of the team are phenomenal. Dr Arnold is the only veterinarian thus far that actually cared about my dog and didn't treat me as if I were crazy. a "mother" just knows when something's wrong with her "baby" and other vets kept telling me it was my fault. Dr Arnold however did testing on my dog and got to the bottom of the problem, even called me after hours one night to make sure that I got the answers I so desperately needed. she got me meds for my dog and helped her get back on track and she finally was able to not have insufferable Incontinence. I will forever be thankful for dr arnold and all my pets will see her. she is nonjudgemental , full of knowledge, will take everything you say into consideration and give you her best advice on what the plan should be. We have been going there for about 20 years. i am now finished with them. Our dog fell off the bed and was limping. I called to have the dog seen because I was afraid of breakage. They were going to fit me in until I told them I thought it was an emergency. They than told me that the vet emergency cost was 115.00 dollars. I yelled on the phone saying your worried about money ? I was just there last week for a lime shot and they checked the ears. 204.00 later I thought was pretty high. I guessing over 20 years we spent 5000.00 or more on our dogs. I really think that MONEY is now the important thing there, not health care of your animal. I did find a different vet to take care of my dog. Im finished making they rich. I have a lot more to complain about, but IM cutting it short. I wish I didnt have to do this but being on social security, we are limited. I use to be so impressed and in love with this place. They use to have such great customer service and actually care about your pets. For the past year I have been highly disappointed in this place and how they treat their clients and pets. Whenever I have a concerning issue with one of my animals I'm always referred to Pets Emergency when in all honesty my pet is bad enough but not to where they need to go to Pets Emergency and cost me an outrageous amount so I'm left to call a different vet. Also among the past year this place has been brushing me off and costing me a lot more money then it has been in the past and the receptionists who answer are always so rude! I have made the decision to choose a different vet all because of their lack of care for my pets and their rudeness to their clients. I suggest you don't bring your pets here but that's all up to you! Hope your experience will be better then what I've been having throughout the past year. read more

Dr. Molly Arnold and the entire staff treated our bulldog Bentley like he was their own family. Dr. Arnold always got down on the floor and sat with Bentley, he had issues with arthritis among other things in the past year. We felt like she was easy to talk to, knowledgeable and down to earth. Two weeks ago we had rushed him in for an urgent appointment and they delivered heartbreaking news. It was done with kindness and compassion while explaining to us what was wrong. They gave us the space and as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our little man. One week later we received a very nice sympathy card with hand written messages from the doctor and staff such a nice touch. I have been bringing my pets here for years, I do not trust any other vet than Willow Run. I have been here countless times with all of my beloved felines; every doctor and staff member is helpful and genuine. I have never felt as though I am being ripped off. They have never given my pets any medication or done any procedure without giving me a price estimate first. I can't say enough good things about Willow Run! Dr. Brubaker and Dr. Jack are amazing Veterinarians. They take such good care of my 2 dogs. Just love the care and kindness they receive. I have been going there for 14 years. You can't go wrong taking your pets there as far as Vet care. My one big complaint is the extremely poor and rude front desk staff. I addressed it with my Vet today. The women that were there for years are all gone now. These young girls for the most part are just rude. I actually was looking into other places. But I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my vets. One woman up front told me to wait it out because my dog was vomiting profusely from eating a ham bone. She said she felt it was him just reacting to the ham. It was actually a dog bone. By 10 am I,rushed him into Dr. Brubaker and she said there is no time to wait he is very very sick. And she whisked him off and immediately got an IV in him and gave medications. And her amazing qualifications and expertise she saved my Charlie's life. We weren't sure he was going to make it. He was in shock when I got him there. So I am giving a 5 star based on the Vet care. I would give maybe for the front desk staff. Now I know to ask for the front end manager with any concerns. Not talk to unfortunately the girl that was so rude two weeks ago. Had no idea it was her til after I expressed my concerns and she said oh that was me at check out yesterday afternoon and then told me that with my situation my Vet had no authority to make the decision she did about check out. I was like wow. I guarantee she didnt tell her Manager. I have called on numerous occasions and complained about the front desk staff. But I must say the check out girl I had today was ok. She was training a new person. Was glad to see she wasnt some 20 year old. Maybe she will show some kindness. I miss the old staff. They would always talk to my dogs when I came in. I love the staff here at Willow Run. The office staff are always friendly, efficient, and helpful, just like all of the vet techs and doctors. We have been coming here for years and will keep coming for many more. They have always been available, easy to get an appointment. They genuinely really do care about your pets. They have a great website where you can set up profiles for your pets and communicate with the office staff. I love that every year my baby gets a birthday card. They are more reasonably priced than a lot of vets. If you have pets, you know how expensive it can get going to a vet appointment. read more

Under new ownership and WOW. I understand they want to turn a profit but holy smokes. Using scare tactics and over dramatize a simple problem and charge you greatly while doing so. Several hundred dollars to tell me my dog has gas? Acting like he could die if I don't go along with their huge proposal to keep him a couple hours and do all kinds of X-rays and hook him up to iv. Our favorite doctor there left and he was very reasonable. Sad. He had a great caring heart and was so honest with his recommendations. Got meds nearby for a few dollars and dog has been fine. Really sad to see these doctors go from having the heart of a teacher into have hearts of salesman. Original proposal was five hundred bucks. Walked out after determining he was improving by himself and decided to hold off on the crazy suggestions they were making. Still several hundred dollars to walk out the door. Glad we have a vet friend that we called while thinking it over to confirm their suggestions were fishy. read more

I've used Willow Run for decades for every pet I've owned, and been pleased with them. But I will never go back. I had one of the worst experiences of my life there while putting down my beloved 14 year old lab. It was a difficult decision, as it always is. Made an appointment for 6pm. We were taken to a room and had to wait 30 MINUTES until a vet finally came into the room. At one point, I went to the reception area crying, wondering what was taking so long. When the vet finally came in, he gave us a cursory excuse about being very busy. This was torture for us and I was appalled that we had to wait. Especially for this. Then during the procedure, not sure what happened, but my poor dog tried to get up. Was the injection administered incorrectly? I don't know. But all I know is after waiting so long, I had to hold my dog down so she could die. And the terrified look in her eyes was one I will never forget. It was awful. It makes me cry just thinking about it. I've never heard of this happening to anyone before. This happened 1.5 years ago and I still can't think about it. It was heartless. I'm now looking for a vet for my new puppy. It definitely won't be with this group. read more

I've been going to this vet for years and I'm now looking for a new vet. I've had great service up until the past year. There's no point of showing up on time for your appointment. They will make you wait at least a half hour before anyone will even talk to you. My oldest dog gets very stressed out about going to the vet. She shakes and pants until we get back into the car to leave. We had to sit in the waiting room for over 45 minutes listening to other dogs cry, which only made my dog freak out more. Every time I bring something to their attention that I'm concerned about, like my long haired dog's hair is thinning and is growing slowly, they make me get all these expensive tests then make me give her meds everyday that didn't help her, instead made her very tired. So if you go to this vet, expect to wait at least a half hour after your appointment time every single time, expect to pay an arm and a leg and expect for them to drug up your animal. read more
