We contacted Ben at Smokey Mountain. His demeanor won us over and we took a chance and booked a session. The chance paid off! We explained our tight schedule and desires to Ben and our location on the lake. Ben visited the marina our boat would be docked at different times of the day to scout the conditions and got back to us with the best time to meet for pics. We met at 7:30 am and it was obvious the advance work Ben had put in and it helped with the setup. He also listened to what my daughter wanted and incorporated those wishes into the session. They took pics on our boat, the dock, the marina and other spots. Through multiple locations, outfit changes and poses, Ben was a dream to work with for my daughter and us. This would have been such a special moment for her and her family, but we weren't able to make it work due to the lack of response. Hadn't heard back from our family pastor so we reached out to Jim. Put a deposit down on April 18…read morefor our wedding on May 14 [26 days]. Family Pastor was able to get in touch with us on April 20, 2 days after paying the deposit. When called to let him now we wouldn't be needing him, was informed we would not get our deposit back. No refunds within 30 days of the ceremony. Meaning it didnt matter we had just booked 2 days ago, because we booked 26 days before the wedding, meant he would and did keep the entire deposit. Thanks Jim. With a small budget, paying for the wedding ourselves, we really could have used that money elsewhere.
