I received a Brazilian at this European Wax Center location, and it resulted in a painful injury…read moredue to the technician's lack of training and care. Instead of applying the wax properly to remove hair, the technician misapplied the wax and caused injury. Rather than acknowledging the mistake, she dismissed my pain and failed to provide any real assistance. This is not just about a bad wax--it's about negligence and lack of proper training, especially when working on darker-skinned clients. If you are a Black woman or have sensitive skin, please be careful--this location does not seem to have proper knowledge of how to wax safely on different skin types. At minimum, their technicians need to be retrained to recognize the difference between hair and skin so that they do not cause avoidable injuries to clients. I have since filed a dispute with my credit card company, as I should not have to pay for a service that resulted in bodily harm. I do not recommend this location, and I strongly encourage others to think twice before booking here.

If you're looking for a place in town to get an amazing facial, tailored to your specific needs,…read morelearn more about your skin, how to take the best care of it, and be completely relaxed at the same time then this is exactly where you need to be. On a recommendation from my favorite hair salon, I decided to try out Lisa to pamper myself with a facial for my birthday and after going once, I've found my newest monthly expense :-) For only $50 for a regular facial with massage she pampered me with all organic materials (HUGE plus), and because its just her, I was the only client there, so it truly was a personalized quiet and relaxing experience. She spent the time to go through a consult and understand what I currently do to take care of my skin, and talk to me about what I could do better. As a result I got a more personalized facial and I can't wait to go back. I've tried the Pumpkin Masque (smells amazing and is a natural enzyme peel) and Dead Sea Mud Mask (which I think I like best!) She currently only accepts Cash or Check so be sure to hit the bank or ATM first. I'm totally going to change my expenses around so I can get this special treatment once a month!

My ONLY complaint is that you absolutely cannot book last minute because she's all booked up. Over the years I've attempted to go to other salons in the area when I can't get in with Lisa and always regret it. Don't you regret it too!!! Or do, and that will leave more times available for the rest of us.

I am visiting Springfield and decided to go get my nails done…read more Went to this place, and a male assisted me. He did greet me, and was friendly. When I went to get my nails done, he first filed down all the color which made my nails burn. So I told him I'd rather dip it in acetone to about filing down my nails. He didn't argue and dipped my nails in acetone. Then when the gel was off. He asked if I wanted manicure, I said sure. He started yanking on my cuticles instead of slowly snipping them off. My cuticles looked worse. I let it go. So then he started putting the color on. I told him he may need a new polish, since he kept getting little debris on my nails. The nail polish bottle he used was old and had a lot of debris inside it. He continued using the same bottle and finished my nails. This is the aftermath. My nails don't look pretty. I am actually going to get a cuticle set and clean up the edges myself and file down the sides. They are friendly. But not as good.
