The enchiladas plate was good, but the fideo con pollo was not. It had no flavor. They throw 2 pieces of boiled chicken including skin and bones into a bowl of wet spaghetti. I was half way through the enchiladas before the fideo was served to my husband. We used to love going there, but I think we are done this time. They have a beautiful outdoor patio, but it was a bit warm for a Midwest girl on my visit. I had the El Plebe and Taco el Campo as well as a classic margarita. They also brought each of a small cup of beans when we sat down. That was comfort food in styrofoam. Service started out strong but as it got busier, our server was a little less attentive. No worries though--we enjoyed the crowd and chatting.

The foot-long quesadilla blended tender carne asada, two cheeses, onions, spices and other flavors into a buttery, crispy tortilla. Absolutely delicious! The frijoles were also fantastic- great blend of lime and broth. The service was impeccable. My waitress was knowledgeable of the menu, kind and attentive. I also loved the atmosphere, they had the World Cup playing and it added to the good vibes.

I was told that the restaurant gets packed on the evenings and weekends. The staff was very friendly and I appreciated both the Spanish and English they spoke to me in! I ordered the Lonche lunch special (8/10). I had never had Lonches before and it was a nice little treat. The ground beef was placed in small bread and they provided some accompaniments to dress the lonches to your liking. I really enjoyed them and hope to come back and try out more entrees in the future! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed!

However, the food is overpriced and the service we received was dismissive. There were a lot of flies inside, and we found a fly in our margarita after a couple of sips. When we brought this up to the server, no apologizes were made and it was brushed over. We were told they replaced it with a new one, but the glass we received after was the exact same level it had been previously, which we were told was due to restaurant policy. Important to note, the "full" glass we were given not even a full glass. We returned the drink due to not feeling confident in the change. Would not recommend this place, and would recommend driving out to some of the other further restaurants in the area!

Our server, son-in-law to Martha was quite pleasant, efficient and there for us as needed. Drinks came fast and honestly, our meals didn't take long either. Meals ordered: - Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, salad and corn (or green beans) - Hot Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes - Beef Enchiladas with refried beans and rice - Mexican Plate with refried beans and rice We all felt our meals were decent. Not amazing but good food. I enjoyed the beef enchiladas more than the meatloaf. That said, my leftover meatloaf will make a good cold sandwich. A couple of us shared the Fried Ice Cream dessert. We've had this before and it was excellent.
