There are three trails: blue loop = 1.2 miles, red loop = 1.3 miles and orange loop = 7.7 miles. I tried to navigate the red loop and got lost. But that is not unusual for me. It ended up taking me 2.5 miles. I really like this place. The trails are well maintained, plenty of restrooms (port-a-potties) along the way, and gorgeous scenery. Whenever I get a chance, I plan to frequent this place. Besides trails, they also offer educational classes to learn about the area, wildlife, water conservation and more. Come check them out, they are near Noah's Ark in Locust Grove.

The track is a pretty nice 1/2 mile loop, while there is a "short cut" near the middle (I assume the 1/4 mile cut). The roots are growing under it which is not a big deal at the moment but eventually will be. Nice big grass area in the middle, nice for the kids to play (if you don't prefer them out of sight at the playground) while you run. I like that it's not too busy, and well lit for an evening stroll.

There is a nice rubberized surface at Airport Rd park (that is starting to show some wear in places), and it is fairly well lit. It can get a little crowded with the mall walkers who don't know that walking shoulder to shoulder three across (it's only about 3 lanes wide) is bad track manners, if you are running at a good clip you may have to give a loud, but courtious excuse me (yelling "Track!" won't work trust me), but other than that there are few other problems with it.

Not busy at all, just us and then one other dog walker just before we left. They have portable bathrooms. Can't go inside the mill building or anything, at least on a normal day, but still neat to look at and get some outdoor time. Peaceful and worth the pitstop.

I was videoing when he went by my foot. I jumped and ran; he didnt try to attack or anything. He raised his head like what was all the commotion about and kept going toward the water. I took another video of him and cropped a picture of him once I came to my senses and posted it with the rest of my photos. He could be someone's pet... lol. But this is a pretty park with a big body of water, plenty of tables, and shade areas. Also it's a fishing area, too.
