The owners/hosts are very friendly. There is a nice dock to sit on or fish off of down by the boat ramp. There is also a basketball goal and playset that the kids in the campground enjoyed. We happened to be there on there Halloween celebration weekend. They had trick or treating and a chili cookoff as well as a site decorating contest. They also had some very nice prizes for the winners! They also had live music. There is no wifi or antenna signal. If you have good wifi on your phone, you may be able to get a low signal depending on your carrier. The town is very small and we did eat at the Overlook restaurant, which was very good but a little on the pricey side. Overall a very pleasant weekend!

It is directly on the banks of the Ohio River and the view is breathtaking. We were in a 30 foot RV and used a back-in site. The sites are huge and easy to back into. There is a full hookup at each site which included water, electric and sewer hookup. Our fellow campers were friendly and at 10pm the campground is very quiet. There are barges that travel the river all night. Again, the view is spectacular. Once we made our reservation by phone they texted us directions on how to get from the highway to their location. They are about 4 miles off I64. Their directions make it very easy to find the campground. There is also a gas station at their exit which made it easy to top off before pulling in for the night. One of us had AT&T and had perfect cell phone reception. I had Verizon and could not get a signal. The campground is managed by Penny and her husband and they could not have been nicer. They are wonderful hosts and run an excellent operation. Penny warned us not to count on cell phone coverage so we made our calls when we pulled off I64. This was our first RV trip. We enjoyed staying here and will be back.

She was very responsive and answered ALL of my 1k questions along the way. When she did not have an answer for me she was sure to find the answer and report back promptly. They even worked with me to store my camper temporarily as my campground was not passable due to the snow and ice. Customer for life here! After reading through other reviews, it seems like the snotty front desk lady wasn't just having a bad day--she probably hasn't had a good night's sleep in 20 years. It's clear that attitude has been a long-standing issue. She was incredibly short with me and more interested in talking at me than actually having a conversation. To top it all off, I was hung up on. At least I now have a perfect example of how they treat their customers, so I won't be wasting my money here again.

I had to use my Raid spray in my truck to keep them under control. Even my Raid fly spray had a hard time killing these Indiana flies. At one point, they were gone. Then, I left to go get something to eat. While I was gone, housekeeping came in to clean and they let the flies in. I did enjoy my Directv though. The room seemed dark and "dingy" and had a smell to it like mildew or something. In summary, I was glad to get away from this place. I hate to say it, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody.

There wasn't much in the way of pictures, and I wasn't really sure what to look for. We didn't want to 'rough it' too much. I am sort of prissy, and what if I didn't like it? We ended up renting one of their cabins. The cabin had pretty much every amenity of a house. Shower, bathroom, kitchen, full size fridge. It was really nice. We saw quite a few people coming and going on golf carts. From what I can gather, a lot of people in campers stay there year round. It was really quiet the entire time we were there. No loud music, no parties where we were at. They are on well water and it reeked of sulphur. There is a food truck type of thing that opens on the weekend. We ate breakfast there once, and it was okay. Nothing to write home about. I really enjoyed staying here though.

Another good note is their prices are fair and reasonable their services are available as they say except for the internet just the unprofessionalism is astounding to me. This is what happens when you let a rich little girl that never work a day in our life run an operation like this. However despite all my criticism and my dislike for the management I would say that this is a decent safe quiet place to stay for your family just the unprofessionalism is unacceptable to me. The issues really started to arise the second day we were here and her helper co owner I don't know came and beat on the camper door because my truck tire was an inch into the mud next to the gravel and blame me for having to repair 4 inches of mud where the grass was gone which was clearly done way before we got here. Then we complained about the lack of Internet and it all went downhill from there instead of addressing these problems they chose to chastise us and treat us as lower than them which is not the case. Overall it seems like if you don't mind kissing their ass you'll be just fine here. We were here for 4 months. After a while, I put the truck in the park, walked to the office, and see there's a checkin box. Grabbed our info and started walking back to the truck and see 5 other people waiting to get in (people who live there). Never been to a park that doesn't have someone working on a Saturday or a sign saying chekin info is at office. Other than that the place was very nice. The spot we got was long and wide. The laundry room was big and everything was working. The bathrooms were nice and clean but it was funny they had a sign about not providing paper towels cause someone was putting them in the toilet. Overall nice place.
