Sometimes you get what you pay for, but that isn't the case here. Sure, it's the most economical choice in town, but that isn't why we love it, that's just the cherry on top. The management here is amazing and so is the staff, which includes all the various team members, reception, activities, cleaning, nursing, and property management. My mom has been at various other facilities from time to time over the last decade and we found that there were inconsistencies in each, if the facilities were great, the staff weren't, or if the staff were great, the administration wasn't, etc. But here everything is wonderful, a complete balance and it feels like a dream. My mom loves it and feels like everyone really cares here, which they honestly do. In addition, the location can't be beat. It's right downtown but doesn't feel like it on a tree lined residential street. It's half a block from the library, block and a half from her banking, 2 blocks from grocery shopping, a couple blocks from downtown shopping, the farmers market, and summer events that she can take her scooter to. Her little apartment is just what she needed in size and the other residents are so friendly and inviting as well. I can't say enough good things about this place. To be honest, I have extraordinarily high standards and am pretty hard to please, most people and places fall short....this one doesn't.

The following are my recent personal experiences with Cache Valley Assist Living. Our family decided to have our father enter a 'assisted' living facility. Cache Valley at the time made the most sense. When you have a loved one placed in assisted living, you'd hope that your loved one is in the safe, supportive and caring facility. Throughout the 3 years my father resided at Cache Valley, numerous changes in management took place. The residents of Cache Valley unfortunately suffered with these management changes. The most current director (is 2 years current?) was the most unprofessional person I have ever interfaced with. I do not know if she has any professional training or higher education, but her extra ordinary lack professionalism clearly indicates she has no training whatsoever! We were never certain who managed the staff on weekends, if any. We know the staff was very laxed with 'call button' responses. The food subpar (aka terrible)! Just beware if your loved one requires special needs; be prepared to be doused with a $1,500 a month charge NOT including rent. Our dad (at 104 WWII veteran) special needs - administering his medication; lifting him from his wheelchair to his lounger; wheelchair him to his meals; wheelchair him back to his room - (the Veterans Administration contracted nurse aid helped with showers). Right before we relocated our dad to a 'skilled' nursing facility. The family received notice that his special needs were being increased from $800 to $1500 a month. Make sure you do your homework, don't let this place give you the dog and pony show - they are wolves in sheep clothing... Especially their management ...terrible, terrible!!!!!

AquaWorx Physical Therapy and Fitness is a brilliant non-profit clinic that provides services to…read moremainly the older population; however, people of all ages take advantage of their gym and physical therapist services. There is a therapy pool that contains an operating underwater treadmill that can be raised or lowered, allowing a person to move a sore or injured limb without the usual amount of pain. It is usually around 94 degrees, a perfect temperature to work out in and not be too cold either. There are jets that provide massage therapy as well. The treadmill has different speeds also, allowing the therapists to accommodate to any specific need of a patient, which enhances their healing time. The fitness center features air compressors that can add or subtract weight to the machines, eliminating the strenuous task of getting up from the machine and moving a pin and weights manually. AquaWorx Exercise Specialists provide an initial assessment of what you would like to accomplish and how well you will be able to accomplish it. In addition, setting up workout plans and giving you the means to follow through with those plans. There are many volunteers, interns, and employees who walk around assisting each person individually. Providing reinforcement and re-evaluation. There are also groups and classes you can attend weekly, some of which include balance and yoga. And again, the physical therapists are great at what they do. They always give their client enough of their time to fully understand the problem and figure out a solution. TIPS & TRICKS: * If you are thinking about joining and getting a gym membership, but still want to look into it, schedule a tour! You can meet and talk with the employees as well as current residents. I'm personal representative of my mother's estate. RIP Mom…read more My dear mother was improperly taken to Utah, from Maryland, in 2018. She died in 2019, a resident at this facility, in Logan, Utah where she'd never lived. She was put into Legacy House of Logan by her decades-long estranged, disinherited-by-name, adult offspring. My mom was already residing in a memory care center in Maryland due to her documented Alzheimer's dementia. I was her durable power of attorney; but estranged family improperly interfered in her care. They filed false police reports against me. After I was fully exonerated by the local police those same offspring then lied to the Maryland care facility and flew my sick mother out-of-state, to Utah, where an improper POA was obtained over an Alzheimer's dementia patient who was not competent to sign legal documents. Upon arrival at this facility my mother called me to help her because she was in a strange place, wasn't sure how she got there and was scared and confused. I'm her loving daughter, her caregiver, her best friend for 25 years and her then durable power of attorney. Those that improperly took her were her estranged, disinherited-by-name offspring who had taken sides with their father in the divorce, and shunned their mother, decades earlier. I called Logan City Police Department for an official welfare check after my mom called me asking for help. I've now received that report. I'm her court ordered personal representative. The Logan City incident report reflects that this facility denied a law enforcement deputy contact with my mother because "it might upset her", per the report, per employee R. Goody. My mother was denied emergency contact with law enforcement. The facility denied them contact. As a direct result my mother was then victimized at Legacy House. She was isolated from her only loving child, me. All contact was stopped by employees at this facility, even after I gave them written notice by certified mail with return receipt to stop denying my calls. I advised them in writing they had no legal basis to deny me contact with my mother. I was ignored and still denied access to my mother. After my dear mother died in 2019 I had lawyers subpoena my mother's records from this facility. Her records reflect that her prescribed meds were w/held due to machine malfunction causing additional behavioral issues and outbursts, she was subjected to multiple falls before finally breaking her femur and being hospitalized for repair. She was found drinking from a moldy coffee cup. She was found stuck between her bed and nightstand for an unknown period of time and then staff witnessed she "had a seizure". No ambulance was summoned at that time. When she finally arrived at the hospital she was admitted immediately. She died 7 days later, after suffering greatly. My mother was isolated and alone in a state she'd never lived before and my calls were denied by staff. My mother died of sepsis, pneumonia and the underlying condition of Alzheimer's dementia. My mother and I were denied our fundamental rights to maintain contact. She was very sick while residing in this facility; but she was alive and could talk. This occurred pre-pandemic, not COVID-19 related at all. I wasn't contacted by anyone, not one single person, to let me know that my mother was hospitalized and dying. It's vile and disgusting, highly reprehensible and totally unforgivable. RIP Mom - You deserved so much better.
