My vehicle was impounded for a no insurance issue, after finding my car the lady on the phone was completely rude and nothing professional about her. My personal items like wallet , id, ss card, debit card, etc are in the truck, including tools to work with, customer info, I called and they want $500 to get my personal items out of it, $1500 to actually get the truck out. Everyone dealing with this company: NC state law says that they MUST let you retrieve your car with 45 min of calling/showing up. If they deny you or tell you they are closed, or to come back the next day and charge you for another day, you can file a police report against them, as they are breaking the law. After an accident all we needed was access to the lot to retrieve a garage door opener. (The police picked this place, we were not given the option to use them.) They wouldn't give us access to the car WE OWN without $150!! This accident isn't our fault and the tow will be paid by the insurance company of the person who caused the accident. Terrible company and horrible employees. The city of Charlotte code enforcement had one of my vehicles towed out of my driveway with no prior reasonable contact and no tow date. I had to find out via my security cameras that it was being towed. This company literally ripped my vehicle through the side of my yard over the curb, ruining my grass. One of their employees said "it's just grass". So it would be okay for me to go drive through their lawn then, wouldn't that be acceptable? If you've dealt with this company please leave a review, they were horrible, not to mention dragging a RWD car while in park. I have everything on video from them taking the car from my property to how they improperly handled putting it in their lot. I filed a complaint against the code enforcement officer who cursed at me on the phone and said "that's not my problem" and hung up. My car is a convertible and the top was down, they did not bother to toss a tarp over my car or anything and while I was in the hospital, it RAINED on my leather interior because they didn't care enough about my property to cover up! I left it on the dash bc I was still in shock. They towed my car to this place. II called them to see if I could come get the paperwork. But they said wo the claim # I couldn't get in my car unless I paid $375. It's my car! The police report wasn't available so i couldn't even get a claim number. Horrible and unprofessional. Didn't pay attention backing up to my RV. Jammed into the front of my RV and put the boom right into my front windshield and shattered it. My mom, who is elderly, ran out of gas next to gas station, they towed her car 15 min away to another gas station where they proceeded to charge her $181, she didn't have the money, they didn't let her get gas. She also did not request that tow and the tow yard doesn't have paperwork to prove it was requested. They said they do that all the time. They towed to the tow yard, I had to get CMPD involved. Tow yard agreed to $181 no storage as long as it was picked up the next day due to circumstances, them not having proper paperwork and it being 6:50pm; police advised on agreed amount for confirmation. Came the next day around 1:40pm. They didn't get proof of ownership out of car until 2:15ish, payment made at 2:25. They did not honor the $181 and said the police were lying about that agreement and amount. Had to pay $181 plus storage. Tow yard unlocked the lot and they would not move other vehicles to allow us to retrieve ours. Sat in tow yard for 45 min. Went back to the office and my mom advised we have been waiting over an hour for them to move the other cars - it's now 3:30ish. The receptionist was yelling at us and said she's tired of our stank asses and we could get the hell out. I had to call the police because of how she was speaking to my mom. She also refused to speak to the police over the phone and stated she didn't care if it was the police she isn't talking to anyone anymore. we were literally held hostage until 4 and the only reason they moved the cars to get our car out is because I had to call Matthews PD to come out to assist. Morale of the story is they prey on elderly people and do unnecessary tows to collect. I had a accident in my truck , the air bags came out so we couldn't drive our car so the officer at the scene called Williams and the guy who showed up was extremely nice and I think knew I was stressed b/c of my car bring a mess. Since then I had to call a few times to deal with them because insurance needed me to ask them some questions. Everytime I called whoever answered phone was nice and got me my answers quickly and easily and just didn't act like I was annoying then b/c I'm sure I was asking a lot of questions. This wrecking service has been used by me twice. Each time something was stolen out of the vehicle that this company picks up. I was asked to notarize some paperwork to get my items out of my car. I did everything they asked me to do, and they still did not give me my items out of my car. Why You Ask Because someone in the employment of this company like to take things of value out of the cars before the owner has a chance to get back to the car. Spoke to the owner, who is not very ethnically friendly. Each time I try to speak, the owner kept speaking over me. The first time that something was missing from my vehicle I took that. Here we are at the second time that one of my vehicles was towed by this company. Just like the first time something of value is missing out of the car. So, because they do not want you to look in your car, they will make you jump through hoops so that you get so tired that you do not want to deal with them not this time. The drivers of these tow trucks/wreckers are stealing things out of the cars. This is why they make you jump through hoops so that you do not come back for your items. HORRIBLE customer service by someone named Amanda. I had a bad accident and Matthews police had my car sent there. We paid for the tow a couple days after the accident. I was injured in the accident so my sister is handling these things for me. I called to get clarification on how to deal with a totaled car - sell for scrap, etc. They do not buy scrap there. You have to find your own scrapyard. Wasn't worth it to us, so we decided to leave it. I explained I had just been released from the hospital and wasn't fully functioning yet, so I asked for clarification to make sure I did the right thing. She started talking about me to others in earshot of the phone, and when I said I heard her, she screamed at me and hung up. Unbelievable. read more

Today I was at an appointment and when I came out my car would not start, no lights, no power, nothing. This has happened a few times with this car and I was frustrated and angry. Called the dealership and explained and well she told me to get it to them so they could get it resolved. I was all alone. Single female and was going to need a ride with the tow truck driver to them so they could get me home after we got the car all checked in. Let me tell you Billy was amazing - he out of the truck was on the same page with me on what was happening with the car and helped me understand. He did not talk down to me, he was super kind when I was clearly having a bad situation and feeling the brunt of it. The truck guys it was clean inside it smelled nice and he was so kind! We talked the whole way to the dealership and I have to say I now have a go to for any towing needs (though I pray its not with this car cause I am at my wits end on that scenario), but I will tell you he made the whole thing better! The company has an amazing guy in Billy as I would not hesitate to call him again if I needed him and his card is now saved into my phone for just in case emergencies again. To add to the positives - while he was headed into the parking lot to come get me another tow truck driver was coming in to a NTB near where I was with a vehicle they were bringing in and they broke the headlight on it - I never even worried about that being a thing he had my car and my mind at ease in the whole scenario! I cannot say enough positive things about him and made sure the dealership got the same feedback as they use them and I have reached out to my insurance company to tell them how amazing the service was as well as several friends. Its hard to be a female when car issues arise as many men think its acceptable to talk down to you and say things like I will explain it to your husband or whomever - he did not once say anything of that nature and I was so completely blown away by his kindness! He checked one me as he was leaving the dealership as well to be sure they had someone coming for me or that I had someone to get me home.
