She was matter-of-fact, cold, and lacked every ounce of empathy you would expect from someone in this line of work. The entire interaction was substandard from start to finish. They waited until the very last minute to confirm insurance causing services to be pushed back an entire week, stalled on shipping ashes the same day payment was made, and then had the nerve to complain about their staffing shortages like that was my problem. Let me be clear -- when a family is grieving, they don't want excuses, they want compassion and professionalism. I even called and left a message for the owner, and to this day have NEVER received a call back. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how little they value families in their care. The only bright spot was Carl -- the ONLY person at this establishment who acted like he had some sense and helped hold us together during this chaos. Honestly, I wouldn't let them bury my goldfish. You'd be better off buying an acre of land, grabbing a shovel, lighting a bonfire, and burying your loved one yourself. That would be handled with more care than what we experienced here. Do yourself a favor: skip this place. Your loved one deserves way better.

They handled my grandmother's funeral...my aunts and uncles on both sides of my family...my father...and now my mother. John Ashcraft now runs the funeral home that his father ran. He was incredibly kind, patient, and considerate the entire time. He provided exactly the type of service we asked for. Granted, we didn't ask for much.
