The first great part of working with William at his company Elmira, was that when I asked for a quote through Yelp, I didn't perceive to receive an automatic reply; they asked me follow-up questions instead of forcing me to call them via an auto reply before providing a quote. That let me know that they were attentive to their customers. I had a rough time gathering all my docs from the different institutions and after moving to a new state. I didn't want to have to deal with the nuances that came with having to go through TurboTax and figure out what I would need for all the different tax situations (even though I no longer own a business). Once I uploaded all the documents to the secure portal and submitted them, I received a follow-up email within a day or two; super fast. My taxes were done in less than a week. The prices are reasonable for what he does as well. He also made sure to send the Tax Return that was to be submitted to me for review before sending in the Tax Return. I used Yelp to search for a CPA and after reading the ratings and reviews for William Tse, CPA, I contacted him via text and explained my personal situation and tax return needs, and William responded immediately and eventually gave me a quote, which was acceptable to me. I then asked him when we could meet face to face before initiating any document transfer or personal information, and he informed me that he works from home and could not meet at that location, and that everything is done remotely, online. I said I understood and then suggested a brief face to face meeting at a Starbucks or other venue, and he DECLINED AGAIN with endless justifications, saying that his wife works, he watches the children, and he just is UNABLE to meet at any time, and suggested a Zoom meeting. I responded saying that since I will be disclosing all my financial and personal information to someone who is unknown to me, I did not feel comfortable unless we met in person first. I also said that I cannot believe that he is willing to forgo having a potential long-term client just because he cannot find any opportunity to meet in person at least once. Maybe this is the new business model for the younger generation, but I'm from baby boomer generation and I still expect some old-school approaches in my business relationships, something that he was unwilling to entertain. I declined his help and definitely would NOT RECOMMEND him unless you're comfortable with openly disclosing your personal information and bank account information to someone who exists only in the virtual sphere.
