While I can not imagine a scenario in my own personal life where things get so complicated that I…read morewould need the services of a CPA, I was asked to provide some logistical support and to ride along with a family member to drop off the necessary paperwork to handle a tax return for a recently deceased member of the family. The logistical support was to sift through eight months of mail to figure out what things were irrelevant to the tax return versus the necessary items like your W-2's, 1099's, 1095's, etc. After that was done the family member that I was taking out to Reading called the office for a Saturday morning appointment. The office is well marked and there were no issues with parking as we were right up front. Alan himself was handling this one and clearly has been doing this for quite some time. Think of him in demeanor as Mr. Rodgers without the cardigan. I mean were talking smooth and easy like Sunday morning. He asked some questions about if different things had changed or not almost like what you get when you go thru things on Turbo Tax except actually personal since in this case he knew the client's situation first hand from last year's return. After about 20 minutes we were done and he said that he would mail the needed signature pages along with notes of where to sign and envelopes to mail them back to his office where he would take care of the final submission. If you need some help or if you're in over your head this office and Mr. Ross in particular are all first rate and should be your first call. (On a brief sidebar, Mr. Ross at least to me has a very good knowledge of dealing with things relating specifically to union/Teamster matters so if you are a member and need some assistance he's your guy.)
